171: Chapter 171 Triple Heaven

Chu Ge returned to the office. Today, he did not take his two little fanboys to the operations area; he was organizing some data on the unmanned carrier-based aircraft for the aerospace carrier, preparing for the upcoming tests.

He had been organizing this data for three or four days. Commander Wang also sent word that the higher-ups had approved Chu Ge's suggestion and were arranging for the aircraft manufacturing plant to start 24-hour rotating shifts.

This significantly accelerated the construction speed of those manned carrier-based aircraft.

Chu Ge waited patiently. The process was painful, and he really wished he could see those aircraft tomorrow.

"System Big Brother, it would be great if you could materialize things for me. That would make things so much easier."

[Why would I need you then? I'd just poof everything into existence and be done with it.]

"No, you could think of me as Nobita, and you as that Doraemon. With a connection to a four-dimensional space in your pocket, you could hold as much stuff as you wanted."

[Strictly speaking, four-dimensional space does not exist, or at least not in that form. It requires activation in two relatively independent spaces simultaneously to function. Its significance lies more in space-time travel rather than storing objects. You can think of it as a channel, a passage connecting two worlds. Besides, your planet's ideas are truly strange.]

"Space-time travel? Are you talking about black holes? Can this stuff be manufactured artificially?"

[Of course!]

"How much? Tell me!" Chu Ge perked up; he hadn't expected this complaint to lead to the discovery of a new continent.

[Level too low. The system defaults to: Host, please level up!]

"F*** you..."

The US Okinawa base stationed in the island nation was holding a video conference with several military bigwigs at Base Camp. The center of this meeting was in a secret room, known to very few in the base.

It was generally only used for meetings that absolutely required such extreme secrecy. Aside from Kyle, the remaining officers in the conference room were high-ranking military officials stationed in the island nation.

Chris Kyle rubbed his chin with his left hand, his manner casual, but his focus never wavered.

"Gentlemen, what is currently playing is footage recently captured by our military satellites. The location is the military shipyard in D City, China."

In the video, Rodriguez, the director of the Pentagon's intelligence agency, was introducing the situation to the military bigwigs in attendance.

"Their military isn't hiding it either; they are now openly constructing a new type of warship. It's likely too big to hide, so they just made it public. We have drawn conclusions based on previous comparison photos."

Rodriguez paused here and looked around the room.

"Their new warship is about 2,000 meters long and 300 meters wide. Combined with their previous statements, we suspect they are truly building an aerospace carrier. Note, an aerospace carrier, not an aircraft carrier."

Sometimes, words are not enough, so some people can doubt as a matter of course. When real photos are placed in front of them, their first reaction is often not surprise, but miraculously continuing to doubt.

Such people are truly the type who won't shed tears until they see the coffin.

Chris Kyle belonged to this type of person.

"Is this photo a show?" He had originally wanted to say, "Is the photo fake?" but suddenly remembered that the photo had been taken by their own satellite, so he changed his words on the fly.

"As you say, this show would be a bit too massive, wouldn't it? According to our analysis, the total number of relevant skilled workers here is even higher than the total in some Western countries. Does Commander Kyle think they have that much time to waste? As far as I know, the Chinese are quite pragmatic."

Rodriguez retorted bluntly; he really hated people who lived in their own world.

"An aerospace carrier? How is that possible? Could they have received technical support from aliens? Could it be some kind of large commercial vessel?" Someone at the scene was still skeptical and raised their doubts.

"Impossible. With such dimensions, I am more inclined to believe their previous reports."

Rodriguez couldn't be bothered to explain further and sat down immediately after saying this.

"Alright, let's leave this topic here for now. The subsequent situation at this military shipyard needs continued reconnaissance. Let our military satellites keep a close eye on it. Whether it is an aerospace carrier or not, it will have its day of completion."

The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff stood up. He was presiding over this meeting, and some of the agenda items were also led by him.

"Commander Kyle, please introduce the subsequent situation regarding the island nation's coast guard incident from a few days ago to everyone."

"Yes!" Kyle stood up. He was accustomed to using body language to complement his speech on such occasions.

"The island nation's coast guard was no match for China's coast guard. This has a lot to do with the coast guard ships they dispatched. I suspect the island nation is still holding back, but let's put that aside for now."

"The military has already intervened. Although there was no major conflict, this spark has been planted. Over the past few days, judging from the information fed back by our radar and the early warning aircraft at the scene of the conflict, they have had several more significant encounters in those waters."

"The fighter jets in the standoff have also been upgraded from F-15s and J-16s to F-35s and J-20s. This is the first time we have observed their stealth fighters at close range. It can be said that we have achieved the results we wanted."

"We have also collected some intelligence on the J-20 and established a preliminary data model based on it."

After Chris Kyle finished speaking, he didn't forget to gild his own lily, constantly pointing out important things to himself, intending to attract attention.

The people attending were all influential figures in the US military. He felt this was an opportunity; if he performed well, his future path would be smoother.

"What were the results?"

The crowd clearly ignored Kyle's smugness and was more interested in the stealth fighters.

"The F-35 is a bit strained when confronting their J-20. Endurance and supersonic flight time limits are its fatal weaknesses. It often has to withdraw from the scene before it can hold out for long. We have recorded all these parameters."

"Of course, this doesn't prove anything. After all, it's not wartime. Beyond-visual-range missile launches are not the norm; mutual expulsion and escort flights are."

"Through this data, we have simulated a comparison with the F-22's flight parameters. Both sides have their own strengths and weaknesses. It is difficult to compare this through simple data, and the test for pilots in actual combat is also quite important."

Chris Kyle reported truthfully.

"Hmm, generally speaking, the whole thing is moving in the direction we expected. Commander Kyle, keep a close watch on the intelligence there. Add fuel to the fire when necessary to force the island nation to reveal all their strength. This is very important!"

"This concerns some key decisions for our next step in the United States. I hope everyone takes it seriously."

"Yes, I will arrange it."

The US secret meeting concluded.

The United States had obtained the results they wanted, but things were not so harmonious on the island nation's side. The cabinet and the military were arguing fiercely. The topic of discussion was just one: whether this endless aerial confrontation should continue.
