There was nothing left for him to do since he had dealt with the most troublesome part for the Union, William informed him that they would report this matter to the Union Core Centre and arrange a reward for Alex to show their gratitude.

Alex didn’t refuse the idea of getting a reward since it meant more money for him, who didn’t want more money?

Reaching the outskirts, Alex used Void Walk to enter his home and appeared inside his room. He returned his robe and mask to the system before entering his bed.

His arrival didn’t alert his family as they were all sleeping soundly. The event that happened that night didn’t disturb the outskirts, so everyone here was still ignorant of what had happened; this included Alex’s family.

Lying on his bed and staring blankly at the ceiling of his room, Alex drifted into thoughts as he replayed everything that had happened today in his mind. The most serious matter of today was that he had killed people...lots of people.

But Alex avoided all of these as he wasn’t interested, his heart was invested in only one thing, and that was to farm exp points and level up!

He could do everything else after he was strong enough not to be threatened by anyone.

So over the week, Alex continued to hunt magic beasts outside the city and continued to sell the corpses to the Union when he returned.

This continued to generate constant Income for him while he gathered exp points. He has also received a reward from the Union for helping with the Dark Union. After William contacted the Union Core Centre in the capital, they had asked Alex to decide how he wanted to be rewarded. If he wanted a magic item as a reward, monetary reward.

Alex had witnessed the benefits of owning a magic item first-hand after facing the red robe from the Dark Union; therefore, he had thought of requesting a magic item as a reward.

But on a second thought, he realised that he didn’t know about magic items that much, except for what the previous Alex knew. He knew that his lack of sufficient knowledge wouldn’t let him make the best choice, so he had opted to get paid instead.

After receiving his answer, William informed the Union Core Centre, and Alex received a union card with the amount of 500 million Zen in it!

Adding the amount he had made from selling beast corpses during the week and his previous amount, Alex’s total wealth had risen to 800 million Zen!

It was a mind-blowing amount, and Alex felt like a second-generation heir of a wealthy family, only that he had worked all of this himself.

Also, after dealing with the Dark Union in Balon City, Alex would occasionally scan the City with his spell to check if any member of the Dark Union had returned, but he didn’t find anything, even after days, which was a good thing.

Still, he didn’t tell the Union or Emily’s principal to withdraw the people that they had sent to watch over the outskirts and his family.

Back to the present.

Alex slowly walked in the middle of nowhere, everywhere around was covered in yellow sand and it was approaching evening.

While it looked like he was walking in the middle of nowhere, Alex was certain that he was heading in the direction of the city. He had changed locations several times while hunting beasts, and he had come to this wilderness that was thousands of miles away from Balon City.

While he walked, Alex called out his system profile.
