Honestly, Alex didn’t want to continue fighting the spider lord. The other party was just too dangerous for his taste.He admits that he was originally excited to fight a Calamity rank beast, but he wasn’t reckless enough to want to fight a creature he couldn’t even see clearly.

The ground trembled as a cloud of snow rose into the air, completely blocking Alex’s vision. He could still sense the aura of the spider lord but he couldn’t pin down the other party’s location as he was moving just too fast.

’What is he doing?’ Alex thought to himself, feeling cautious.

He controlled some of the sword fragments to return to his side while he sent the rest into the snowstorm that the spider lord was creating by running around at full speed.

Alex controlled the sword fragments to attack the aura of the spider lord once he sensed him, but the other party would have been long gone before the sword fragments arrived.

Even though he had finally escaped the constant pursuit of Alex’s sword fragments, the spider lord didn’t charge at him right away and continued to run on the snow, kicking up more snow clouds to create a thick coverage while gradually approaching Alex.

Alex had also noticed that the snowstorm was getting closer, and he couldn’t see anything beyond two hundred meters ahead of him anymore.

Just after appearing, a loud explosive sound rang out from his earlier location.

He looked and saw the spider lord standing there and a clear snowless part of a hundred meters had formed on the ground.

As for the figures that had shot towards Alex earlier, it turned out that the spider lord had hurled the corpses of some of the spider Generals that Alex had killed earlier at him as a diversion while he approached from a different position.

Honestly, if Alex hadn’t reacted fast enough, he might have died from that move or gotten seriously injured at least!

"You’re fast," the spider lord said as he stared at Alex, throwing the falling snow. He honestly didn’t expect the human to react in such a way.

He thought that Alex would have attacked those corpses with his annoying sword pieces, giving him the chance to land a clean hit.

But the human had chosen to retreat instead, which impressed even the spider lord, despite them being enemies.

Alex didn’t reply to the compliment, his face regained a calm expression under his mask.

Now that he had successfully finished crafting his spell, Alex regained some confidence and was ready to face the spider lord head-on.

Actually, he just wanted to make sure that the other party couldn’t retreat when he used the spell.

After all, the ultimate lightning prison only had a range of five hundred meters.

"Now I’m done warming up, time to get rid of you," Alex said confidently as he placed both arms behind his back and stood straight like an arrow in the snow.

The sky boots were able to completely enhance the movement speed of their wearer, the effect would even be better if they had the lightning element.

After hearing Alex’s arrogant words, the three eyes of the spider lord narrowed in suspicion.

Just to be on the safe side, he decided to launch a sudden attack and kill Alex before he could carry out whatever plan that made him suddenly become confident.

This time, Alex didn’t panic and a smirk formed on the side of his lips instead.
