Chapter 264: Killing the spider Generals

Alex’s fist exploded with lightning upon making contact with the body of the tank-like spider General. A loud explosive sound rang out as a burst of black lightning shot out from the other side of the spider’s body, along with scorched chunks of flesh and a heavy blood shower.The green blood of the spider instantly painted the snow while the shockwave from the punch swept up a snow screen, temporarily covering Alex and the spider from the view of the others.

At the same time, Alex received the notification that he had killed a magic beast and received 5 exp points.

The body of the spider General dropped to the ground with a loud bang and slightly sank into the snow, its eyes wide open with disbelief.

Alex didn’t waste time after killing the spider General and flashed away in the form of lightning particles, just in time for him to dodge the seven silk attacks that pierced through the snow screen that had swallowed him and the corpse of the spider General.

Alex received another notification after killing another spider General. He didn’t plan on stopping here and quickly moved toward another spider General with a similar appearance to the previous two that he had killed.

The spider Generals had already caught up to what he was doing; he was trying to kill off the spider Generals with defensive abilities. They were not going to allow him!

While the remaining spider Generals that had the appearance of tanks retreated away from Alex, the rest tried to stop his charge.

One appeared in front of Alex and spat a stream of sizzling green liquid at him. The green liquid caused the falling snow to boil and evaporate upon contact, it was poisonous!

Alex’s body exploded into lightning particles that went around the poisonous green spit and the spider.

’Too slow,’ He thought to himself.

More attacks were thrown at him, and more spider Generals appeared in his path, but Alex easily avoided all of them.

’As expected of Calamity rank beasts, they easily realised what I’m doing and are already trying to stop me, but this won’t do.’ Alex thought silently.

He had a clear objective in mind and nothing these spiders did was going to stop him! While in the form of Lightning Heart, they could only dream of so..

In less than ten seconds, Alex appeared beside the remaining spider Generals with defensive abilities and landed punches on them.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

Black lightning rampaged through the bodies of the spider Generals that had been punched, scorching their insides and causing parts of their bodies to explode into a bloody mess.

The snow was now painted in spider blood, and several corpses sank into the ground; the constantly falling snow quickly covered them up.

"This human is different from the others, we have to think of something else." One of the spider Generals said. They had to re-evaluate Alex after watching him kill twelve of their kind despite all their efforts to stop him.

They already knew that he was different after he cast a Saint rank spell within a second but they didn’t expect him to be so powerful. They were at the Calamity rank and there were a hundred of them for crying out loud, yet this human was still killing them without them being able to do anything to him.

"Do we retreat first? He already killed all the defence Generals."

"There won’t be any need for that. Humans can’t use too many powerful spells because they need to refill their mana, this spell is very powerful and must consume a lot of mana.

He shouldn’t be able to use it for much longer, then we can kill him."

Alex heard this and a smirk formed on his face that was currently in lightning form. The words of that spider General weren’t false, Saint rank mages couldn’t use too many Saint rank spells because of the large amount of mana each spell used up.

It would have been the same for him since the mana inside his soul sea would have only allowed him to use Lightning Heart for two hours, but thanks to the mana regeneration skill of the system, Alex didn’t have to worry about ever running out of mana!

While the spider Generals were still contemplating what to do, Alex disappeared without warning.

He had used Void Walk and appeared behind a group of five spider Generals that were standing relatively close to each other.

Right after appearing, Alex kicked out with full force, sending out a horizontal kick toward the five spider Generals.

A horizontal arc of black lightning flew out from his kick and made a visible cut in the air as it shot toward the five spiders at a speed that was too fast for them to react.

After successfully knocking them into the snow, Alex moved and appeared above one of them with his right foot raised above the beast’s head.

"Well, at least that killed it," Alex mumbled before turning his gaze to the next spider General that was closest to him.
