Chapter 205: Looking for tattoos

Arriving at Balon City, Alex went directly to the Union building.Clint and the others had returned from wherever they went by then so Alex directly appeared in Clint’s office using Void Walk.

Clint was about to greet him after he appeared, but his words stuck in his throat when Alex suddenly tossed a corpse with a twisted neck in front of him.

It was Owen’s!

Clint’s eyes flashed with surprise before turning cold, his mouth slowly closed and his expression turned serious.

"Mr Chen, I respect you a lot; but what is the meaning of this?" He asked in a heavy voice, mana slowly rising from his body.

Alex stared at him with an expressionless gaze although Clint could not see it. He felt that Clint was about to fight him, even though he knew he had zero chances of winning, but Alex couldn’t blame him.

After all, he just tossed the dead body of the man’s subordinate at his feet without a word; Clint had every reason to be angry.

Instead of responding, Alex walked toward the corpse and removed the clothes that covered its left chest area.

Seeing this, Clint’s eyes gleamed.

"Mr Chen, what are you doing!" He exclaimed, thinking Mr Chen was trying to do something to Owen’s corpse. He was still holding himself back because he didn’t know why Mr Chen had brought Owen’s corpse back yet but he wouldn’t stand and watch Owen’s corpse be disrespected.

Alex ignored Clint and continued what he was doing. After removing the clothes covering that area, he placed one of his palms above it and released some of his mana into it.

Immediately, a tattoo appeared on Owen’s corpse. Clint’s eyes widened upon seeing this.

The tattoo was a signature marking of the Dark Union!

"Owen, is a part of the Dark Union?" Clint mumbled soullessly as if the world suddenly lost meaning.

How could he not be greatly affected? He had known Owen for decades and two of them had been colleagues and friends for a very long time. He would never have expected that his trusted friend was a part of an organisation that they were looking to wipe out.

Still staring at the tattoo on Owen’s corpse, Clint asked Alex how he came to know about this.

Alex didn’t hide the truth, well not entirely. He told Clint about the plan of the Dark Union and how Owen had brought him to a trap which they had prepared.

Alex then said that he had a couple of spell books and magic items, and that was how he managed to escape the hollow formation and kill all of them.

Clint was shocked when he heard that Mr Chen had been trapped in a grade five hollow formation with the lightning affinity.

It was a good thing that Mr Chen had several spell books with him, things could have gone very badly.

After finding out what really happened, Clint suddenly bowed to Alex.

"Mr Chen, forgive me. I apologise for my disrespectful actions earlier. I allowed my emotions to control me." Clint apologised for how he had reacted after seeing Owen’s corpse at first.

Alex waved his hand dismissively but didn’t say anything. But Clint understood that Mr Chen meant that he didn’t think much of it.

"Then, can you tell me the names of the members of the Union that you managed to get?" Clint asked. Alex had disclosed to him earlier that he managed to get some names from Owen and another member of the Dark Union.

Alex nodded and started calling the names while Clint recorded them. After he was done, Alex disclosed his plan to have the high-ranking members of the Union branch checked.

This included Clint himself, the elders, and the sub-elders.

Since Owen had already surprised him, Mr Chen couldn’t trust the orders and needed to be sure.

Although Clint felt offended by Mr Chen’s request, he understood why and wasn’t against it. He took his phone and called the others to meet them in the meeting room, Alex and Clint left for the meeting room as well.

Some time later, everyone was gathered in the meeting room around the long executive table.

Clint, Lance, Marco, James, and Silvia, the branch leader, elder, and sub-elders of the Balon City Union branch.

Alex was present as well.

The hall was silent as everyone stared at the corpse of Owen on top of the long table. Silver and the 3 sub-elders had different expressions on their faces, they were still shocked from hearing that Owen was a member of the Dark Union.

To think that a member of the Dark Union had become an elder in their Union branch. Did he join the Dark Union after becoming an elder or was he already a member of the Dark Union before infiltrating the Union branch?

It was no wonder that many of their investigations against the Dark Union had ended in complete failure over the recent years, they already knew of their plans even before the Union executed them!

But then there was the issue of suspicion. Although Owen had called a few names before he was skilled, they could never be sure that he was being honest or had mentioned everything.

They would still have to confirm before acting. But that would be after they left this room and made sure that none of the other leading members of the Union branch were a part of the Dark Union.

"Does anyone have any objections?" Clint asked as he scanned the faces of his elder and sub-elders with a sharp look.

No one said anything, silently expressing their agreement to the suggestion.

"Good. Mr Chen, you can begin." Clint nodded and said to Alex. He proceeded to take off his shirt, signalling for Mr Chen to start with him.

Alex had no objections and walked over, he placed his right palm in front of Clint’s chest and released his mana.

After a few seconds, nothing happened and Alex lowered his hand.

Clint let out a breath of relief. Although he was sure that he wasn’t a part of the Dark Union, he couldn’t help but be nervous. What if a tattoo had appeared, how was he going to explain himself?

After Alex was done with Clint, he moved to Silvia, the only remaining elder of this Union branch.

They would probably decide on a second elder soon.

Despite being a woman, Silvia didn’t show a look of embarrassment or shame when Alex stood in front of her. She moved her top and revealed a part of her chest.

Alex blushed behind his mask from seeing Silvia’s left breast, the first smooth skin and reddish nipple.

Silvia seemed to be a B cup size, that lump of fair skin would probably fill his palm!

This was his first time seeing a real-life woman’s breasts; he forced himself to stay calm as he didn’t want to embarrass himself.

He raised his palm and placed it in front of Silvia’s breast and released his mana.

After some time, nothing happened and Alex dropped his hand and moved to the next person. Silvia covered herself and sat down, a calm look still dominated her face.

Alex could not help but respect how bold she was, or was it being thick-skinned?
