After stepping out of the white space and appearing at the back of the mountain range, several figures quickly appeared and surrounded him.

All of them were in human form and had rather good-looking appearances, but Alex wasn’t fooled by their appearance; he could tell at a glance that these one hundred figures who had surrounded him were the one hundred spider Generals of the three-eyed spider lord.

"Even a Saint rank human wouldn’t dare to come here alone, did they send this one as a peace offering?"

The spider Generals conversed amongst themselves while observing Alex. On the other hand, Alex was also observing them.

Although they seemed to have appeared around him at random, he realised that they had positioned themselves around him in a way that would allow them to react if he tried to do anything and also make sure that he couldn’t escape even if he wanted to.

They were set on killing him here. After completing his observation, Alex finally spoke.

"Where is your lord?" He asked calmly.

"Hmm? What does a weak human like you have to do with our lord?" One of the spider Generals asked back with an amused expression.

"I want to kill it," Alex answered plainly.

The one hundred spider Generals "..."

They were all momentarily stunned by the human’s response before bursting into pearls of laughter.

"Humans are really good at making jokes. A weakling like you can’t even face those normal soldiers out there and you think you can kill our lord?" One of the spider Generals said while laughing and holding his stomach.

Their reactions were very human-like.

"Now that I think about it, this human is strange. He looks so weak and shouldn’t be able to survive the cold of the eternal snowland with his level of strength, how is he still alive?" One of the spider Generals voiced out at this moment, appearing suspicious of Alex.

"Does it matter? Must be that mast and robe that he’s putting on, they must also be the reason he was able to sneak past the soldiers and come here without us sensing him on time."

"Hold on, I’ll kill him quickly and we’ll go kill the rest of the humans." A spider General with a female appearance said casually before walking towards Alex.

She wasn’t the least bit suspicious that the human might be hiding his strength, so she didn’t see the need to be cautious while approaching him.

After all, with the weak strength that the human was showing, he wouldn’t be able to hurt her if she just stayed still and allowed him to attack her.

But before she could get too close to Alex, Alex used Void Walk to disappear and appear right in front of her. His right hand moved at lightning speed and he grabbed her neck before she could react.

They were shocked by Alex’s speed, they didn’t even see how he had crossed the distance between him and the female spider General.

The female spider General that Alex had grabbed received the most shock, almost to the point of being horrified when Alex suddenly grabbed her neck.

She had tried to break free but realised that his strength wasn’t something she could overcome.

"He’s a Saint rank mage!" She let out a panicked shriek to alert the other spider Generals and at the same time, she transformed into her true form in a last resort to break free from this human’s grasp.

Her true form was a two-legged spider that was three meters tall and had hands similar to those of a mantis. She was now towering over Alex.

Alex had also received a shock of his own. After he grabbed the neck of the spider General, he had tried snapping it as he truly intended to kill one of them to show his strength, but was stunned when he realised that he couldn’t break her neck with just his arm strength.

And before he could do anything else, the spider let out a warning shriek before transforming into a three-meter-tall spider beast, her neck instantly increased in size.

Since his palm wasn’t wide enough to accommodate the new size of her neck, he had no choice but to let her go. The spider didn’t hesitate to escape from Alex once she managed to free her neck; she instantly retreated tens of meters away from Alex.

"So this is what a Calamity rank magic beast is like," Alex mumbled to himself, surprised that he wasn’t able to kill her with his physical strength.

A Calamity rank magic beast was stronger than he imagined, this...was exciting!

Alex’s eyes flashed with an excited glint behind his mask.

At the same time, the female General who managed to escape from Alex shouted to warn her companions.

The body of the spider General was sent flying like a rocket and crashed into a mountain top that was hundreds of meters away. The force of the punch caused her body to explode through the mountain, and she continued flying away.

After seeing the sight of the human sending one of them flying away with just a punch and after witnessing the aftereffect of the punch, the rest didn’t hesitate and immediately abandoned their human form, they all transformed to their true form and prepared to kill this human.

Meanwhile, Alex stared in the direction that he had punched the spider General in, once again left surprised after not receiving the notification from the system that he had killed a magic beast.

He had used all of his strength in that punch but even then, he wasn’t able to kill that spider?!

"Looks like I can’t kill a Calamity rank magic beast by just relying on my physical strength, time to use spells," Alex mumbled as he turned to face the remaining 99 spider Generals that had now transformed into their true forms.
