Chapter 200: Night visit

That same evening, Alex’s family was brought to see their new home. An already finished mansion that was located in the heart of the City with several master bedrooms and guest rooms.They had later gotten this mansion for a hundred and fifty million Zen and had paid in full. Zoran previously wanted to decline because the price was too much, and wanted to go for a more modest house that would only cost around 500 to one million Zen, but Alex had persuaded him to get the mansion.

Money wasn’t an issue for them anymore, and he wanted his family to live a comfortable life from now on. Although his father had reasons to be conservative and Alex couldn’t force decisions on him, he could persuade them as long as he had enough points to back his suggestions.

For this, he had offered that they sell the corpse of the Void demon that he had received as a gift, and the money should be given to his parents.

Even Alex was shocked when the corpse of the Void demon was sold for ten billion Zen, he was now thinking of hunting more Void demons in the future.

Anyways, with an additional ten billion Zen added to their family’s wealth, Zoran no longer had any reason to turn down Alex’s suggestion of getting the mansion since they had more than enough to get a hundred such mansions.

They were most likely the richest family in the entire city rn.

After the family moved into their new home, they spent the rest of the night touring the mansion in amazement. They had never been in such a beautiful house before and it felt unreal.

Emily was particularly excited about their new home and was energetically moving around the place.

Bright large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a smooth marble floor that almost reflected one’s appearance like a mirror, and exquisite furniture that screamed expensive.

It was as if they had entered a different world!

Alex watched all of this with a smile, he was satisfied with the new upgrade in his family.

He went to his room soon after and left them to continue touring the mansion.

Alex’s room was several times larger than his old room in the outskirts, a large king-sized bed was placed in the middle of the room, and two doors that led to the private bathroom and dressing room could be seen on both sides of the bedroom.

Alex didn’t check them out immediately and climbed into his bed instead, his body sank slightly into the softness of the bed.

Even in his old world, Alex didn’t experience this type of experience; he was very satisfied and soon allowed himself to sleep off.

But just before Alex could completely fall into the embrace of sleep, his eyes snapped open and he got up from bed.

He had already told his parents that he was going to sleep earlier so they wouldn’t come looking for him for anything while he was away.

Alex spread his senses across the city and soon found what he was looking for, he disappeared from his room the next moment.

Some time later, Alex appeared on the roof of a mansion. He stood on top of the mansion with a sharp glare in his eyes as he listened to what was going on inside the mansion.

In a large living room inside the mansion, Malcolm paced back and forth with an enraged expression on his face. Not far from him, several people in black suits and glasses stood in a straight line with their hands folded behind their waists.

All of them were mages and their strength reached the Core mage rank, they were the forces of the Malcolms’ family, and they numbered up to twenty in the large living room.

"So the Union is going to protect that brat after he killed my daughter in public, just because Mr Chen said some bullshit?!" Malcolm said while clenching his teeth, he was so angry that his head was about to explode.

The twenty-plus mages in black suits all stood in place and watched him without a change of expression, awaiting his orders.

"I can’t accept this, since he dared to kill someone from the Malcolm family, I’ll kill his family! This will teach everyone not to mess with the Malcolm family!" Malcolm roared.

One of the Mages finally spoke out. He reminded Malcolm that if he killed Alex’s family, the Union would definitely find out and most likely wouldn’t stay quiet about it.

"So what? Are they going to attack us because of some nobody? The highest they can do is to issue a fine." Malcolm said with an evil look in his eyes.

"But, Mr Chen..." The mage said again.

Malcolm’s expression changed slightly after Mr Chen’s name was mentioned, he looked distressed.

"Damnit, that Mr Chen is starting to get on my nerves. Fine, I know what to do." Malcolm said as a cruel smile slowly formed on his face.

He was going to have some people secretly do it, that way, no one would suspect him.

"Is that so? Why don’t you indulge me in what you plan to do?"

At this moment, a calm voice sounded from the side of the living room. Malcolm’s eyes flashed with shock as he turned to look at the source of the voice. He wasn’t the only one who was shocked; the twenty-plus mages were also surprised that someone had entered the living room without them noticing.

When they saw the owner of the voice, their eyes widened.

It was the red-haired kid that they were just talking about, Alex!

"H-how did you get in here?!" Malcolm asked in surprise.

"Does it matter? I heard you are planning on how to handle my family, why don’t you tell me? I really want to know. I could help you with a better idea if your plan isn’t good enough." Alex said, a smile on his face.

The same smile that he had when he appeared in the stadium earlier during the day.

Malcolm subconsciously took a step back. Alex’s smile scared him for some reason, but he quickly composed himself.

"What do you think, that I’ll let you go after you killed my little girl? Since you came here by yourself, I’ll kill you first and send your family to join you later!" Malcolm spat out and immediately ordered the mages to kill Alex.

All twenty-plus mages immediately charged at Alex with full strength, ready to turn him into a corpse.

Alex remained smiling as he saw this, his eyes gradually flashing with purple lightning.

"Of course, I expected that you wouldn’t listen to the warning of the Union." He said before disappearing into a streak of purple lightning that weaved through the midst of the mages who were charging at him.

Alex appeared behind the mages the next second, his body still flashing with lightning.

As for the mages, all of them froze in place for a few seconds before suddenly dropping to the ground as blood gushed out of their necks.

Alex had ripped their throats open with lightning when he moved past them.

Malcolm’s eyes widened when he saw this, unable to believe his eyes.

"H-how, what is this?!" He stuttered in utter disbelief. He stared at the corpses on the ground and then at Alex in front of him who was still flashing with purple lightning.

"How is this possible, aren’t you a space mage? What the hell are you?!"

"Why do I have the lightning element? It’s simple," Alex said as a mask and a robe suddenly appeared on him. "It’s because I’m Mr Chen." He said calmly before making the mask and robe disappear the next moment.

"Y-you, you’re Mr Chen? No, that can’t be. Mr Chen is an expert, you’re just a kid!" Malcolm shouted as if he had gone crazy.

Well, the shock was enough to make someone go crazy and Alex was enjoying every bit of it. He was starting to get an odd satisfaction from the reaction of people when they found out he was Mr Chen just before they died.

"Here’s another secret," Alex said after taking off the robe and mask. "I didn’t plan on letting any of you live after your daughter harmed my sister," Alex whispered sinisterly.

Morning came quickly and the day only got busier for the residents of Balon City.

Alex left the mansion after having breakfast with his family and went to the RWGB.

A message had been dropped in the group chat asking everyone to gather since the group was also hired to help with the cleaning of the previous day’s battle aftermath.


His family also had other things that they needed to do as well and no one would most likely be home for a while. His mother had to do some shopping for the new house and her targets were mostly clothing and groceries.

Zoran had to attend to his shop and the two girls were going to accompany either of them.

Alex arrived at the RWGB some time later and found a heavy atmosphere upon entering the building.

Later, he learned that some members of the group had died during the battle yesterday. Three members, to be precise.

And one of them was Phil.
