175: Chapter 175 The Master of the Ghost

The news that the White House had declared the U Federation to be in a state of regional war was like the final drop of cold water falling into boiling oil, causing the entire world to erupt in turmoil.

Inside the headquarters war room of the Umbrella Corporation, on a massive world map, blue squares representing the U Federation and Israel were in a standoff against red squares representing Da Shi State, while the surrounding area was densely packed with flickering neutral gray dots representing other nations.

The entire room was so quiet that only the emotionless voice of the news anchor remained.

"Boss, they have really entered the fray." Sarah watched the footage on the screen of the "Ford" carrier strike group passing through the Suez Canal, her voice devoid of emotion.

Chen Feng withdrew his gaze from the map, calmly picked up the coffee on the table, took a sip, and then gently shook his head.

"It has begun, but it is not enough."

He said softly, like a chess player who felt the chessboard was too small.

Sarah glanced at him slightly, somewhat puzzled.

Not big enough?

Just then, a blue light screen that only he could see quietly unfolded on Chen Feng's retina.

[Special Mission Triggered: War Crucible]

[Mission Description: Proxy wars are the best crucible for honing minions, and the best showroom for testing the quality of goods. Your Soldiers need more experience, and your goods need more buyers.]

[Mission Requirements: Dispatch at least three super Soldiers units fused with the T-Veronica Virus or Ouroboros Virus to intervene in the Middle East war as a "third party" and complete at least one tactical mission.]

[Mission Core: No one has to die in the war, except for those who are truly villains.]

[Mission Rewards: Depending on mission completion, receive 100,000-500,000 Research Points and unlock the special unit Ada Wong.]

Ada?

Chen Feng's heart skipped a beat.

It seems the system also feels that these fireworks are not yet brilliant enough.

"Sarah, connect me to an untraceable encrypted line, target: the temporary command center of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard."

"Who should I look for?" Sarah did not hesitate at all and immediately began operating the console in front of her.

"The newly appointed one, General Qasim."

A few minutes later, an independent communication line was established.

"Beep... beep..."

The phone rang for a long time before it was answered, and a hoarse, exhausted, yet barely suppressed angry voice came from the other side.

"Who are you?"

The voice carried a thick Persian accent and extreme vigilance.

One could imagine that the person on the other end of the phone was absolutely a frightened bird, and any unknown phone call could be seen as an enemy trap.

"Who I am is not important, General."

Chen Feng's voice was steady and clear, carrying a strange penetrative power that instantly overpowered the irritability in the other person's voice.

"What matters is what I can give you."

There was silence on the other end of the line.

Chen Feng was not in a hurry; he knew the other party was tracing the signal, analyzing his voice, and using every method he could think of to judge the intent of this call.

After a full half-minute, General Qasim's voice sounded again, this time with undisguised killing intent: "I don't know who you are, but I warn you, if you were sent by Mossad or the CIA to toy with me, I swear, even if I have to chase you to the ends of the earth, I will have you and your whole family..."

"General," Chen Feng interrupted his threat, his tone still steady, "you must have heard of that 'Ghost' unit operating in the Gaza region recently."

This sentence was like a red-hot iron tong, instantly searing away all of General Qasim's words.

On the other end of the phone, there was complete silence.

One could only hear breathing several times heavier than before, like a beast panting.

The "Ghost" unit!

This code name, in less than forty-eight hours, had become the nightmare of the entire Israeli military and intelligence department.

In the eyes of bystanders like them, they were almost god-like.

A mysterious unit that had never been discovered or identified had, with thunderous momentum, wiped out a brigade-level command post, destroyed an airbase, and rendered the SDF's blockade of Gaza effectively useless.

They had crazily tried to contact this unit, wanting to know who they were, where they came from, and whether they were friend or foe.

But they were like true ghosts, coming and going without a trace, leaving nothing behind but ruins and the corpses of Israelis.

Now, the owner of this mysterious phone call had actually taken the initiative to bring them up?

Chen Feng could clearly feel the violent fluctuation of the other party's emotions.

He did not give him much time to think and threw out a second bombshell.

"That unit," Chen Feng said, leaning back in his chair, with the flat tone of stating a fact, "belongs to me."

"..."

This time, even the breathing on the other end of the phone disappeared.

General Qasim felt his heart tighten suddenly, and he could barely breathe.

Who exactly was this person who claimed to be the master of the "Ghost" unit?

What exactly did he want to do?

"What... what do you want?"

Qasim's voice was extremely dry.

He tried hard to make his tone sound tough, but the uncontrollable trembling in the end of his voice still exposed the horror in his heart.

Hearing this question, Chen Feng smiled.

That's right.

Only when your strength is powerful enough to make the other side feel fear are you qualified to sit at the negotiating table.

"Very simple, General." Chen Feng's tone became lighthearted.

"I looked around and found that your country currently needs two things the most."

"First, weapons that can smash those high-tech toys of the U Federation and Israel into scrap metal."

"Second, the determination to drive them out of your homeland."

"Determination, you do not lack. As for weapons..."

Chen Feng deliberately drew out the tone, like a devil tempting someone step by step.

"I happen to have a batch of good things here that even the U Federation dreams of buying, but I didn't sell to them. I wonder... General, are you interested?"

Good things that even the U Federation doesn't have?

Qasim's pupils contracted violently.

Could it be...

A crazy thought flashed through his mind, making him so excited that his blood boiled.

"If what you say is true," Qasim said, almost gritting his teeth, "then let's talk!"

"Very good."

Chen Feng smiled and hung up the phone.

He looked at Sarah: "Done."

Subsequently, he directly connected to another internal line.

"Hunk."

"Boss."

Hunk's signature, emotionless voice came from the other side of the phone.

"New mission." Chen Feng ordered, "Lead your 'Soldiers', and bring three Walkers. Also, take the batch of ruisu and healing factor we have with us. Go to the coordinates I sent you and make contact with a general named Qasim."

"Show him what our Umbrella products are really like."

"Not those defective products that peel paint as soon as they are exposed to the sun, which we sold to the U Federation people."

"Yes."

Hanging up Hunk's call, Chen Feng's gaze turned to another corner of the war room.

There, Elena and the other six survivors who had successfully fused with the virus were standing quietly, wearing special black combat uniforms.

For the past few days, they had been in the underground training ground familiarizing themselves with their newly acquired power, and the flame of revenge was burning in each of their eyes.

"Your training should enter the actual combat phase."

Chen Feng stood up and walked in front of them.

"Pack up, get ready to go to the Middle East."

Elena looked up, her beautiful eyes glowing with a faint blue fire, a symbol of the perfect fusion of the T-Veronica Virus with her genes.

"Who is our target?"

Chen Feng walked to the massive world map, extended his finger, and pressed heavily on the small blue territory of "Israel."

"I want to completely pull this nail out of this land."

He turned around and looked at the seven angels in front of him, whom he had fished out of hell and personally forged into demons.

"My wish is for world peace."

"Only by making those self-righteous warmongers completely shut up will Umbrella Corporation not need to produce consumables like B.O.W.s for war in the future."

"By then, we can focus on researching drugs to cure diseases and save lives, can't we?"
