95: Chapter 95 G-Bio

The view through the crack in the door was too narrow.

Sarah didn't choose to enter from the front. Holding the injection gun, her body like a weightless shadow, she silently retreated deep into the corridor and then returned the way she came through the window she had climbed in from.

As the night wind blew, she was already standing on the beam of the building's outer wall.

Below was the direction of the back kitchen, where the sound of pots and pans could be faintly heard. Sarah looked up at the position of the second-floor balcony and calculated the distance and angle.

Without a run-up, her leg muscles instantly tensed, and she sprang vertically upward like a cannonball.

A height of four meters was nothing more than an ordinary jump for her.

Her fingertips lightly hooked onto the stone railing of the balcony, and her whole body swung up smoothly, flipping over silently. When her feet landed, not even a speck of dust was raised.

Inside the room, the card game was at its most intense.

Cigar smoke filled the air. Four men who looked like bodyguards surrounded the card table. A guy with a face full of fleshy scars was pushing a large pile of chips into the center of the table, cursing.

"Fuck, I don't believe you can have a straight flush again! I'm calling you!"

"Jamie, you're damn well tilted. This bit of money is enough for you to buy a few graves."

"Get lost!"

Escobar leaned back in his chair, a cigar between his fingers, watching his subordinates curse at each other with great interest. He enjoyed this feeling—the feeling of being in control, watching others work themselves to death for him and entertain him.

He didn't even notice that the sliding glass door to the balcony had been pulled open a crack at some point.

A black shadow slid inside.

That shadow was unreasonably fast.

The bodyguard named Jamie seemed to catch something out of the corner of his eye. He subconsciously wanted to turn his head to look, but the speed of his nerve signals couldn't keep up with the shadow's movements.

He only felt a chill on his neck, his vision went black, and then he knew nothing more.

"Jamie? You fucking..." Before the other bodyguard could finish his sentence, the shadow had already appeared in front of him. A cold palm gripped his chin and gave it a light twist.

Crack.

The sound of the neck bone breaking was barely audible in the noisy room.

Only then did Escobar and the remaining two bodyguards react.

Something was wrong!

"Who's there!"

The remaining two jumped up from their chairs, their hands already reaching for the guns at their waists.

But all they saw was a woman wearing a black trench coat, sunglasses, and a mask, already standing behind Escobar.

And in her left hand, she held an oddly shaped injection gun, the needle tip already pressed against the back of Escobar's neck.

"Don't move."

Sarah's voice was very calm, as if she were stating a trivial matter.

The hair on Escobar's entire body stood on end.

He couldn't understand at all how this woman had gotten in! Were the three layers of security outside and the two personal guards in the corridor all useless?!

Fear made him stop thinking for a moment, and survival instinct led him to make the most foolish decision.

He lunged forward abruptly, trying to dodge the needle.

At the same time, the two bodyguards opposite him also drew their guns.

"Fi—"

Bang!

Sarah's movements were faster than all of them.

The moment Escobar lunged forward, the injection gun in her left hand had already pierced his neck without hesitation, and she pushed all of that wriggling purple liquid inside.

Immediately after, her right hand pulled the M500 Magnum from her thigh holster like a flash of lightning.

BOOM—!

The deafening gunshot almost blew the roof off.

The .50 caliber Magnum bullet, carrying unrivaled kinetic energy, directly hit the chest of the bodyguard on the left.

There was no exit wound.

Because the bodyguard's upper body, along with the wall behind him, simply exploded into a huge hole. Flesh and plaster mixed together, coating half the wall.

The other bodyguard's finger twitched at this hellish sight, and his bullet went wide, shooting into the ceiling.

He just wanted to adjust his aim, but he found that the woman's gun was already pointed at him.

In his vision, that massive black muzzle was the eye of the Grim Reaper.

BOOM—!

The second gunshot.

This time, it was the head.

The bodyguard's head was like a watermelon struck by a sledgehammer; red and white bits splattered everywhere. The headless corpse swayed for a moment before falling straight down.

The entire process took less than two seconds.

The room fell silent instantly, leaving only the thick smell of blood and gunpowder.

Sarah blew on the hot muzzle and holstered the M500.

She didn't even look at those two piles of fragments that could no longer be called "corpses," but instead turned her gaze toward Escobar, who had fallen to the floor.

"Ah... Aaaaaah—!"

Escobar lay on the ground, beginning to twitch violently.

His body seemed to be surged with high-voltage electricity; his limbs twisted in an anti-ergonomic way, and non-human screams erupted from his throat.

"Help... help me..."

He reached out, trying to grab something, but his skin was turning pale and bloated at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Then, something even more terrifying happened.

Beneath his skin, it seemed as if countless live worms were scurrying frantically, propping up his body into various sized bulges. Those bulges shifted around, and wherever they passed, the flesh tore apart.

"Ugh, aaaaaah—!"

Es-cobar's screams had completely changed pitch, becoming sharp and hoarse, like a wail from the abyss.

Crack... crackle...

A series of tooth-aching bone-cracking sounds came from within his body.

His spine arched upward abruptly, the silk shirt on his back was instantly torn apart, and then his entire right side began to swell and deform unnaturally.

His right shoulder puffed up like a balloon, bursting through the flesh.

A massive, bloodshot eye suddenly grew out of the mangled meat of his shoulder!

That eye was as large as a fist, its turbid pupil spinning wildly, staring fixedly at everything around it with endless pain, malice, and hunger.

The massive commotion and gunshots finally alerted the entire manor.

"Enemy attack! In the boss's room!"

"Quick! To the second floor!"

"Kill the intruder!"

Messy footsteps and shouts came from downstairs as countless drug dealers armed with AKs and shotguns surged toward the main building like a tide.

Sarah ignored this.

She simply retreated to the balcony, took out a high-definition camera from her tactical gear, pointed it at the terrifying mutation happening in the room, and pressed the record button.

This was her mission.

To record the entire process of the G-Virus transforming a living human into a perfect biological weapon.

Inside the room, the mutation was still continuing.

Half of Escobar's body had completely lost its human form, turning into a monster nearly three meters tall, composed of bloated, ever-growing tumors and twisted bones.

His human head hung limply to one side, extreme fear still etched on his face, but the breath of life had vanished.

In its place was that massive eye growing from his shoulder.

It rolled around, seemingly adapting to this new body and this new world.

Then, its gaze locked onto the first drug dealer to burst into the room.

That had once been his most loyal subordinate.

"ROAR—!!!"

A sky-shaking roar erupted from the monster's throat, the sound waves nearly shattering the window glass.

The slaughter had begun.

Sarah stood in the shadows of the balcony, calmly adjusting the camera's focus, transmitting the bloody images in the lens back to the underground base in Los Angeles in real-time.

She tapped her earpiece.

"Chen, phase one complete."
