96: Chapter 96 G-Body (Part Two)

Chen Feng's calm voice came through the earpiece, carrying a trace of almost imperceptible excitement: "Received. Stay safe, Sarah."

"Understood."

At this moment, the first drug dealer to rush into the room was staring with terrified eyes at the monster before him, which had mutated from his boss.

"Boss? Mr. Escobar...?" he called out tentatively, the muzzle of the AK-47 in his hand trembling slightly.

The response he received was a deafening roar.

"Roar—!"

The G-Creature—or rather, the thing that used to be Escobar—moved.

Its misshapen, bloated right side suddenly kicked off, and its massive body collided with a speed that completely defied its size.

The drug dealer didn't even have time to pull the trigger before he was swept aside by a giant fleshy claw.

He didn't even manage to scream; his entire body exploded like a rotten tomato hit by a truck with a 'splat,' splattering red and white matter all over the wall behind him and his companions' faces.

The drug dealers following close behind were scared out of their wits by this bloody scene.

"Fire! Fire! Kill this monster!" a man who looked like a minor leader roared at the top of his lungs.

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat—!

Over a dozen AK-47s and shotguns spat tongues of fire simultaneously, and a dense rain of bullets instantly enveloped the G-Creature.

However, those bullets, capable of tearing through steel plates, hit the G-Creature's constantly proliferating tumors like stones dropped into the ocean, only causing ripples of muscular movement and barely penetrating the skin.

"It's useless! The bullets won't go in!"

"What the hell is this thing?!"

Fear spread through the crowd.

The G-Creature seemed provoked by this weak attack. The giant single eye on its shoulder suddenly swiveled, locking onto the direction of the densest firepower.

"Aaaah! A devil! This is a devil!"

Their psychological defenses completely collapsed.

The drug dealers began to turn and run, pushing and shoving each other, desperate to escape the room that had turned into a slaughterhouse.

But the G-Creature was far faster than them. It was like an out-of-control tank, rampaging through the corridor. With a casual swipe, it could tear a living person in half; with a single stomp, it could crush a human chest into a pulp of flesh.

The screams, gunshots, the sound of bones shattering, and the wet thuds of flesh and blood mixed together, composing a symphony from hell.

Sarah stood on the balcony, recording all of this expressionlessly.

Her hands were steady, and the lens remained focused on the center of the slaughter. To her, this was merely a one-sided cleanup. These drug dealers, with hands stained with blood, deserved no pity.

Their deaths could provide valuable data for Chen Feng's research, which was perhaps the only valuable thing they had ever done in their lives.

...

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, at the Umbrella Underground Command Center.

A giant screen was broadcasting high-definition footage sent back by Sarah in real-time. The bloody scenes and piercing screams made even Marcus, standing behind Chen Feng, unable to help but frown.

Chen Feng, however, watched with great interest, his eyes flickering with a scientist's fanaticism and excitement. He said without turning his head, "The potential for genetic modification of the G-Virus on an ordinary human body is 12.7% higher than our estimated theoretical peak."

"Yes, Boss," Marcus recorded quickly on a tactical tablet.

"Strength, regeneration speed, bone mutation intensity... all have exceeded expectations." Chen Feng stroked his chin as if admiring a perfect work of art. "Escobar's physical condition was only above average for an ordinary person, yet it could catalyze a G-Creature of this level. It seems the host's will and desire for survival have a significant impact on the G-Virus's evolutionary direction."

He watched the screen as the former drug lord was now frantically devouring his former subordinates, turning them into nourishment for his own evolution.

"Escobar, your greatest contribution in this life is right now," Chen Feng chuckled.

The slaughter on the screen continued.

Although there were many drug dealers in the manor, before an irrational monster like the G-Creature, they were completely like a flock of lambs waiting to be slaughtered. In less than ten minutes, the corridor on the second floor of the main building was strewn with corpses, and blood flowed like a river.

Just then, a middle-aged man who looked much calmer than the other drug dealers rushed out. Instead of firing in impotent rage like the others, he retreated while shouting into his walkie-talkie.

"Everyone back off! Conventional weapons are useless! Carlos! Bring me that thing! Fast!"

Soon, a subordinate carrying a rocket launcher came running, stumbling and crawling.

"Boss Ricardo! It's here!"

The middle-aged man named Ricardo grabbed the rocket launcher, expertly shouldered it, and aimed at the G-Creature that was feasting in the corridor.

"Get the hell out of the way!"

Ricardo roared, and the surrounding drug dealers scrambled to clear the area.

He took a deep breath, and at the moment the G-Creature turned around, revealing that giant single eye, he decisively pulled the trigger.

Whoosh—!

The rocket, trailing a long tail of fire, cut through the air thick with smoke and the smell of blood, and accurately slammed into the G-Creature's massive eyeball!

Boom—!

A loud explosion!

The violent explosion kicked up a powerful shockwave, blowing away the surrounding severed limbs and rubble.

The G-Creature's massive body shuddered violently, letting out a roar of extreme pain, and then fell straight backward, slamming heavily onto the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.

The world seemed to fall silent instantly.

The surviving drug dealers froze for a few seconds, then erupted into the wild joy of having survived a disaster.

"Is it dead? It's dead!"

"Great job, Boss Ricardo!"

"Damn it, we finally took down this monster!"

Ricardo also breathed a sigh of relief. He threw down the still-smoking launcher from his shoulder and spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva.

"You bunch of useless trash, go and see if that thing is dead for good!"

Two brave drug dealers cautiously approached and poked the G-Creature's massive body with their gun barrels.

It didn't move.

That giant eyeball had been blown into a bloody hole, and black blood was pooling on the floor.

"Boss, it's dead for sure!"

"That's great..."

Everyone thought the nightmare was over.

Even Marcus, far away in the command center, subconsciously thought that this clinical trial was over.

Only Chen Feng continued to stare fixedly at the screen.

"No... the good show has only just begun."

As soon as he finished speaking, an abnormality occurred in the footage on the screen.

A scalp-numbing sound of bones grinding and muscle tearing echoed from the G-Creature's seemingly dead remains.

The smiles on the faces of the two drug dealers who had approached instantly froze.

They watched in horror as black blood stopped flowing from the giant eye socket that had been blown apart by the rocket. Instead... something was frantically squirming and growing!

Pfft!

Three tentacles, thicker than the previous arms and tipped with shimmering bone blades, suddenly burst out from that fleshy hole!

Like three awakening vipers, they instantly coiled around the bodies of the two drug dealers.

"No—!"

Crack!

Amidst the heart-wrenching sound of bones shattering, the two men were squeezed into three segments.

And this was only the beginning.

The G-Creature's massive body began to tremble violently, and its size expanded again at a speed visible to the naked eye. The broken flesh and tissue proliferated and reorganized frantically, and the spine on its back pierced through the skin, rising segment by segment to form a row of hideous bone spikes.

Its physical structure was rapidly evolving toward a more efficient and lethal killing form!

"Roar—!!!"

A roar more violent and filled with hunger than any before echoed throughout the entire manor.

A new slaughter had begun.

In the command center, Chen Feng looked at the rapidly jumping data stream on the screen and nodded with satisfaction.

"That's more like it. The charm of the G-Virus lies in its endless evolution."
