265: Chapter 265 Who Holds the Dog Leash? I Decide

A black bulletproof Maybach drove through the night in Washington.

Inside the car, Chen Feng had just hung up the communication with Ada Wong.

"Boss, are you just going to let Clark off like this?" Sarah looked at the data on her tablet. "That old guy is dishonest to the bone. He only backed down today because he was scared by Mia. Once he recovers, he will definitely find a chance to bite back."

"He won't have that chance." Chen Feng leaned back into the leather seat without opening his eyes.

Sarah didn't speak.

"When I tapped on his desk just now," Chen Feng said, "the Marionette micro-aerosol developed by Samantha had already been released. In twelve hours at most, Clark's brain will be rewritten. From then on, he will just be a machine that only knows how to stamp documents."

Sarah finally understood.

No wonder Chen Feng listened to so much nonsense from Clark in the office; it was to stall for time so the parasite could take effect.

"What about the Augustus Family?" Sarah asked. "Seizing all their assets in North America is equivalent to declaring war. The resources held by these old European nobles are more than DuPont and Morgan combined. Plus, they have deep connections in Europe, so it's hard for us to intervene directly."

"Who said we can't intervene?" Chen Feng opened his eyes.

He looked at Mia, who was struggling with a Haagen-Dazs in the passenger seat.

"Mia."

"Yes, Boss." Mia turned her head, a ring of white cream still on the corner of her mouth.

"Have you had enough to eat these past few days?"

"It's alright." Mia rubbed her flat little belly. "Those big guys in Siberia were hard to eat, but they were filling. I'm just a bit tired of them."

"I'm taking you to Europe to change your palate." Chen Feng tapped his thigh with his fingers. "The Alps, old castles, and twelve old men. Want to eat?"

Mia's eyes lit up, her dark green slit pupils glowing in the dark car.

"Yes!"

Chen Feng nodded.

He watched the Washington night scene flying past the window, his voice very cold.

"Hunk."

A steady response came from the driver's seat.

"Here."

"Notify the South American Branch. Deploy fifty 3rd Generation Tyrants and ship them to Europe."

"Also, have Razor take the G-Squad and meet us at Andrews Air Force Base."

Fourteen hours before the order was given.

The White House, Oval Office.

The fireplace was burning brightly, but President Clark of the U Federation felt a chill on his body.

He stared at the encrypted private line phone on the desk, his eyelids twitching.

"Mr. President, you're sweating a bit too much," said Charles, the blond man on the sofa, as he sipped his whiskey. "This is the heart of the U Federation. Even that Chen Feng couldn't touch a hair on your head here."

Charles, the special envoy of the Augustus Family in Europe, was the one who incited Clark to betray Umbrella.

Clark tugged at his tie irritably: "You don't understand. You have no idea what kind of monsters Umbrella holds in its hands!"

"Monsters?" Charles smiled. "The Augustus Family has inherited four centuries of history; what monsters haven't we seen? As long as you cooperate with us, the three thousand guns outside will turn him into pulp."

Before he finished speaking, the heavy mahogany door of the office made a "click" and was pushed open from the outside.

There was no announcement, no alarm.

Clark shivered and sprang up violently.

Chen Feng, wearing a casual suit with his hands in his pockets, just walked in.

To his left was Sarah, and to his right was Mia, who was devouring a box of Haagen-Dazs.

"The security here is indeed not bad." Chen Feng closed the door behind him and walked straight to the desk. He pulled out the President's chair and sat down. "The secret sentries outside are arranged quite meticulously, it's just that the Secret Service personnel reacted a bit too slowly."

Clark's throat went dry, and he subconsciously reached for the emergency button under the desk.

He pressed it three times, but there was no sound from outside the door.

"Stop pressing it." Chen Feng tapped the desk twice with his fingers. "Those two hundred Secret Service agents you have outside are all dreaming right now. As for that Marine battalion... Red Queen sent their commander a counter-terrorism drill order, so they should be fifty kilometers away dismantling fake bombs right now."

Clark's legs went weak, and he slumped into his chair, his face turning pale.

Charles frowned and stood up: "You are Chen Feng from Umbrella? Trespassing in the White House is treason."

Chen Feng didn't look at him, staring only at Clark: "15 billion USD. Clark, your value has risen quite fast. Do you find the bone I gave you not enough to chew on now?"

Clark was covered in sweat, stuttering: "Bo... Boss, this is a misunderstanding..."

"A misunderstanding?" Chen Feng laughed. "Sending forty-two special forces soldiers to dig for things in my backyard is called a misunderstanding? Or are you saying you think that by changing masters, you can take off the collar around your neck?"

Charles was completely ignored, his expression turning ugly: "Mr. Chen, mind your words. President Clark is now a friend of our Augustus Family."

Chen Feng finally glanced at him.

"The Augustus Family?" He laughed. "You registered over a dozen shell companies in the Cayman Islands and laundered 15 billion through them. Your hands are quite clean, but your brains aren't working too well."

Charles said coldly: "Young man, don't think that just because you've made some money, you can be arrogant. Get out of the White House now, and I can pretend this never happened."

Chen Feng ignored him and turned to ask Mia: "Are you full?"

Mia licked her spoon and wrinkled her nose in disgust: "Boss, this person's perfume is too strong; he definitely won't taste good."

"I didn't tell you to eat him, he's too dirty." Chen Feng lifted his chin. "Make him shut up."

Charles hadn't even finished speaking.

The space in front of him twisted for a moment.

The little girl holding the ice cream disappeared.

A powerful force gripped his throat, lifting his 180-pound body into the air.

Charles's legs kicked wildly in the air, the air in his lungs being squeezed out. He only saw a pair of innocent eyes looking at him.

Mia didn't give him a chance to make a sound.

She lowered her arm.

Bang!

Charles's head smashed into the hard oak tabletop.

The tabletop exploded into a dent, wood chips scattering everywhere.

Charles passed out on the spot, nosebleed dripping down the edge of the table.

Mia clapped her hands, picked up the ice cream again, and stood obediently back by Chen Feng's side.

Clark watched this scene, his upper and lower teeth chattering.

"Look." Chen Feng pointed at the unconscious Charles. "This is the new master you found. They can't even beat a child eating ice cream by my side; you expect them to protect you?"

Clark dropped to his knees with a thud, cold sweat soaking through his shirt: "Boss! I was wrong! They forced me!"

"I don't want to hear nonsense." Chen Feng interrupted him. "I came here today intending to just replace the President. But thinking about it, propping up a new obedient dog would take too much effort."

Clark's eyes lit up, and he quickly crawled forward two steps: "Boss, just give the order! I'll bite whoever you tell me to bite!"

Sarah stepped forward and threw a document in front of him.

"That 15 billion USD, I've already had Red Queen transfer it to the Umbrella fund. Consider it a fine for your mistake this time," Chen Feng said.

Clark felt pain in his heart, but could only nod desperately.

"This document is a presidential executive order." Chen Feng pointed at the paper on the floor. "In the name of national security, completely ban all industries of the Augustus Family in North America. Freeze assets, deport personnel."

Clark froze: "Boss, this... this will cause a diplomatic earthquake!"

"Retaliation?" Chen Feng laughed. "Do you think I came here today just to get back that 15 billion?"

He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the night view of Washington.

"The Old Money families have been dealt with, and these old antiques in Europe think North America is empty and want to reach out to pick the peaches." Chen Feng's voice was very cold. "If you reach out too far, you have to get it chopped off."

He turned around and looked at Clark kneeling on the ground.

"Do as I say. Within three days, I want to see the Augustus Family's industries in North America completely paralyzed. If you can't do it, I will send the master tape of the Eden Island footage to all major television stations across the country. By the way, I'll have Mia give you an extra meal."

Mia bared her teeth at Clark, her right eye turning into a dark green slit pupil.

Clark shivered in fear and kowtowed repeatedly: "I'll sign! I'll sign right away!"

Chen Feng walked back to the desk and patted Clark on the shoulder: "Handle this trash as you see fit. Remember, the leash is in my hands. I'll let you bark when I tell you to. When I tell you to bite someone, you have to chew their bones to pieces. Understand?"

"Understand! Absolutely understand!" Clark's voice was trembling.

Chen Feng didn't say any more and left with Sarah and Mia.

When he reached the door, he turned back and pointed at the hole on the table.

"Nice table, get a new one. The money will be deducted from your campaign funds next month."

The door closed, leaving only Clark's heavy panting and the sound of Charles's blood dripping in the office.
