273: Chapter 273 Thank you for your gift

Snap.

The monster's head, which had poked out from under the ice, was crushed by a pink snow boot.

The moment the foul green gore splattered, dozens of black-red tentacles shot out from behind Mia, snatching the fluid mid-air and devouring it completely.

"Crunchy, just like potato chips."

Mia shook the slime off her boot and trotted toward another monster corpse that had been pinned down by a Walker, seemingly wanting to stomp on it again.

Behind Hunk, the barrels of fifty six-barreled Gatling guns had cooled from a ghostly blue to a dark black, with residual heat steaming into white vapor.

In ten minutes, two thousand white monsters had left nothing but patches of deep green ice crystals on the frozen surface.

The harvest was over.

Mia patted her rounded belly and let out a peppermint-scented burp.

"Boss, I can't eat anymore." She ran back to Chen Feng, tugging at the hem of his trench coat. "It doesn't taste good; it gets stuck in my teeth."

Chen Feng tore open a lollipop wrapper and popped it into her mouth.

"As long as you're full, that's enough."

Mia sucked on the candy, her eyes crinkling into crescents.

Chen Feng's gaze fell on the massive blue crystal not far away.

"Hunk, get to work."

"Understood."

Two Polar Tyrants stepped forward, gently digging out the crystal and placing it into a specialized cryogenic containment box.

The lid closed.

Samantha lunged at it, her face pressed against the observation window, her eyes wild with madness.

"Boss! A living quantum computer! No, it's a god-tier computer! Red Queen isn't even an abacus compared to it!" Her voice was shrill with excitement.

Chen Feng raised his wrist and tapped on his arm-mounted terminal.

"I've sent you the bio-supercomputer schematics; get to work when we get back. If you can't build it, you can serve as Mia's snack."

Samantha's body stiffened, but after seeing the data stream pop up on the screen, her face was filled with nothing but ecstasy.

"A miracle! This neural architecture! Boss, you're a god!"

She screamed, clutching the terminal as she rushed toward the Osprey transport aircraft.

Sarah walked silently to Chen Feng's side, the black tentacles that had been probing into the ice layer quietly retracting.

"Boss, the radar has picked up movement." She looked at the terminal screen. "The U Federation Seventh Fleet, thirty nautical miles away. Three F-35s have broken formation and will arrive in five minutes."

"That dog Clark has a sharp nose." Chen Feng sneered.

"Should I shoot them down?" Sarah's eyes were cold.

"No need." Chen Feng shook his head, his gaze sweeping over the green ice crystals covering the ground. "Since they came all this way to catch a cold, we have to give them a gift."

He looked at Hunk.

"Leave five Walkers behind to carve a few words on the ice for Mr. President."

"Received." Hunk grinned, revealing his stark white teeth.

Five minutes later, the three F-35s hovered over the ice field.

White House, Oval Office.

President Clark stared intently at the footage transmitted back by the drone, his palms sweating.

"Find it! At all costs!" He roared into the encrypted communicator.

On the screen, the ice surface was empty; both Umbrella's troops and the wreckage were gone.

"Sir, the target has vanished!"

Clark's face turned ashen.

Just then, five massive shadows suddenly burst through the ice on the screen.

Five metal scorpions, each the size of a tank, raised their tail stingers high, their psionic spotlights locking onto the three F-35s.

"Alert! Hostile targets detected!"

"Retreat! Retreat immediately!" Clark jumped up.

The Walkers didn't fire; they simply used their tail stingers to carve rapidly into the ice.

After the ritual was complete, they quickly burrowed back under the ice and disappeared.

"Zoom in!" Clark commanded.

The drone camera zoomed in.

On the massive ice surface, a line of English words, half a football field in size, was formed using the monsters' green slime and deep gouges.

"THANKS FOR THE GIFT. — Umbrella"

Bang!

Clark kicked over his desk.

The Chief of Staff beside him silently lowered his head, making a mental note: that's the fourth one this month.

Los Angeles, Umbrella Headquarters, seventh underground level.

Chen Feng looked at the system panel.

Hidden Mission: Embers of the Star Sea completed.

Mission Rewards: 500,000 R&D points, complete bio-supercomputer schematics.

Total R&D points: 1,628,000.

Separated by a wall, Samantha had already submerged the blue crystal into a nutrient solution tank, with countless neural probes connected to it like a spiderweb.

"Boss! The computing power is terrifying!" Samantha's shout came through the communicator. "It processed three days of Red Queen's backup data in just 0.5 seconds and even performed self-optimization! It consumes biomass and can expand infinitely!"

"Can it be controlled?" Chen Feng only cared about this.

"No problem! I've implanted the Marionette Gene Lock; its primary logic is absolute obedience to you!"

"Very good." Chen Feng nodded. "Give it a name."

"Mainframe? Genesis?"

"Too cliché." Chen Feng tapped his fingers on the sofa armrest. "Call it Zero. The beginning of all things, returning to nothingness."

He walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, overlooking the laboratory.

"Notify Dr. Park; 1,200 subjects will begin fusion testing tonight. Within a week, I want to see the first batch of Symbiotic Armor Super Tyrants."

The laboratory door pushed open.

Sarah walked in and handed over a physical file.

"Boss, urgent intelligence from Ada Wong." Her eyes were cold. "In the Russian Federation, Yuri has messed up."

Chen Feng opened the file.

At Siberia Base No. 7, after the G-Virus mutant Sergei devoured tens of thousands of corpses and two mechanized divisions, it completely lost control and has become a walking catastrophe of flesh and blood.

"Does Yuri want reinforcements?"

"He doesn't dare." Sarah sneered. "So he's offering a bounty of five thousand tons of gold on the black market, looking for mercenaries to clean up the mess. The entire underworld has gone crazy."

"Five thousand tons of gold?" Chen Feng was amused.

"Should I notify Hunk?"

"No need, Alpha Squad needs to adapt to their new equipment." Chen Feng's gaze drifted toward the one-meter-thick blast door in the deepest part of the laboratory. "Send Elena."

Sarah's eyes flickered slightly. "Her?"

"The perfect symbiotic host for the T-Veronica Virus needs a whetstone." Chen Feng tapped his fingers on the table. "Reply to Ada Wong; we'll take the job. Tell Yuri to load the gold onto the transport beforehand; we don't do credit."

Just as he finished speaking, the blast door hummed and slid open.

A wave of air, intermingled with extreme heat and cold, rushed out.

Elena walked out barefoot.

Her blonde hair had turned dark red; her right eye was the ghostly green of the G-Virus, while her left eye was pure white.

She raised her hand, and a ball of white and green flames danced in her palm.

The flames had no temperature, yet the surrounding air distorted, as if space itself were being burned and consumed.

"Boss." Elena walked up to Chen Feng, knelt on one knee, her voice filled with absolute submission.

"Go to Siberia." Chen Feng looked down at her. "Burn that trash named Sergei to nothing. And while you're at it, empty Yuri's vault for me."

"As you command."

Elena looked up, a cruel smile curling the corners of her mouth.

The white and green flames in her palm surged upward, burning a silent black hole into the air that refused to heal for a long time.
