11: Chapter on stabilizing water resources

After finding the iron ore, Lu Fan was in no hurry to return. He decided to explore further into the distance.

Leaving the basket filled with soil where it was, Lu Fan picked up his wooden staff and continued to forge a path ahead.

He couldn't help but ponder: "Now that I've even found iron ore, who knows what other strange and wonderful things I might discover. I should keep going."

Lu Fan walked slowly along the slope of the hill. The ground beneath his feet had been softened by the rain, and with each step, he heard the soft, squelching "squish-squish" of mud, as if providing a soundtrack for his expedition.

As he walked, Lu Fan suddenly spotted a small Wild Chicken peeking its head out from a bush.

He stopped and couldn't help but mutter to himself: "You little chick, you're lucky. If I had a proper weapon, you'd be done for."

Perhaps sensing Lu Fan's killing intent, the little Wild Chicken flapped its wings and flew away.

Continuing forward, Lu Fan arrived at a clearing covered in all sorts of wildflowers, a riot of colors vying for beauty and splendor.

The viewers in the livestream room were also stunned by the scenery.

"Empty mountains after fresh rain, autumn weather comes late in the evening."

"The scenery is really beautiful~"

"Alas, I lack the culture, a single 'holy crap' carries me through the world."

Seeing this scene, Old Master Zhao Hangjun couldn't help but sigh with emotion: "It's truly been a long time since I've seen such a wonderful view."

Just as Lu Fan was immersed in the beautiful scenery, the Prompt transmitted a sound.

[Cross the mountain before you, and you will soon discover a water source.]

Lu Fan's eyes lit up. He thought, "A water source? Fantastic!"

He immediately stood up and ran in the direction indicated.

The viewers in the livestream room also grew curious.

"What happened? Did he find something else?"

"Could it be another good find?"

"Hahaha, it's like opening a mystery box. So exciting!"

Passing through a dense patch of forest, the view suddenly opened up. High on a cliff face was a hole about the size of a basketball, from which a small waterfall formed, spraying countless droplets and creating a small pool at the base of the cliff.

A stream gurgled merrily, sunlight sparkling on its surface, shimmering like countless mischievous little sprites dancing.

Unable to resist, Lu Fan crouched down, scooped up a handful of the stream water. It was cool and refreshing to the core. He took a sip. "Wow, this water is so sweet, even better than the bottled mineral water sold in the city."

This was mountain spring water emerging from within the rock and could be drunk directly.

[Wilderness Survival Announcement]

[Congratulations to Huaguo Player Lu Fan for triggering the ten thousand times rebate.]

[Stable Water Source * 10000]

In an instant, 10,000 egg-sized springs appeared across Huaguo's territory, emerging in the Gobi Desert, Deserts, Wilderness... continuously gushing out water.

This announcement shocked the entire world.

You see, the Earth's resources had long been nearly exhausted, and there hadn't been any flowing water for decades.

Now, the world's water supply was basically all sorts of distilled water and water that had undergone layer upon layer of treatment. While it barely managed to supply people's daily needs, it was completely insufficient for industrial production and the like.

Lu Fan's small step, however, brought about a massive change to the current world.

Huaguo's Higher-ups.

"Excellent, 10,000 flowing water sources..."

"It's been so many years since flowing water appeared. Contestant Lu Fan is a hero of our nation."

Seeing the water sources materialize out of thin air, some national leaders couldn't help but shed tears.

Immediately afterward, Huaguo's Higher-ups dispatched the Military to garrison the water source locations, preventing sabotage by forces from other countries.

Meanwhile, in Huaguo's Livestream Room.

"Hahahaha, awesome (voice cracking)!!"

"Great God Lu Fan is mighty!!"

"The environment is saved, boohoo (Ｔ▽Ｔ)"

Wang Tao was so excited he almost jumped up: "Wonderful, wonderful! We have clean water resources now. Lu Fan has performed a great service!"

Zhao Hangjun also couldn't help but get teary-eyed: "Splendid..."

And Yu Rui screamed with joy.

Other countries instantly erupted in an uproar.

Viewers from other countries, jealous of Huaguo's discovery, flooded the livestream room with bullet comments.

Viewers from Pretty Country said sourly: "Hmph, Huaguo again, always finding good stuff. Why doesn't our country have this kind of luck?"

"Cunning Huaguo people."

Viewers from Japan also complained: "This is so unfair. Why can't our country's contestant find such good resources? It's infuriating."

"Baka! What's wrong with our contestant? They should all commit seppuku!"

Huaguo viewers left comments one after another.

"If you're no good, then practice more."

"Hahaha, I just love seeing their envious, jealous, and hateful faces."

"They're getting desperate."

The higher-ups of Pretty Country and Japan grew even more restless. They began secretly plotting, preparing to use extraordinary means to seize these precious water sources.

Pretty Country's higher-ups said in a secret meeting: "We must take action. We cannot let Huaguo monopolize these resources. This is a matter of our strategic interests."

Japan's higher-ups also began scheming: "We must spare no cost to get our hands on those water sources."

Simultaneously, they also utilized the Wilderness Survival bullet comment function—which allowed only 50 characters per week—to order their own contestants to hurry up and find water sources.

After receiving the order, Pretty Country's Contestant immediately sprang into action, starting to search all around their survival area.

Not to be outdone, Japan's Contestant, armed with simple tools, scoured the Wilderness and hills, hoping to find a similar water source.

Meanwhile, Huaguo's Livestream Room was filled with jubilation. Viewers excitedly spammed bullet comments: "Hahaha, those guys from Pretty Country and Japan are green with envy. Serves them right!"

"Our Huaguo contestant is just that awesome. Let's show them what real skill looks like!"

At the same time, Huaguo also began formulating a series of environmental protection policies to ensure these precious water sources could be utilized and protected rationally.

Huaguo's Environmental Protection Department stated: "We will implement the strictest measures to protect these water sources, ensuring they can bring long-term benefits to our nation and people."

This series of actions and policies not only demonstrated Huaguo's resolve in resource protection but also declared to the world Huaguo's firm stance on environmental protection and sustainable development.

While other countries felt jealous, they couldn't help but acknowledge Huaguo's leading position in this field.

Lu Fan, at the center of the storm, was completely unaware of all this, washing his face, unwashed for three days, with the stream water.
