157: China's strength in processing bear meat

Back at the Shelter, Lu Fan looked at the Brown Bear being carried steadily back by Big Horn, his heart filled with a mixture of complex emotions and deep sighs.

This Brown Bear was not only a witness to his courage, but also a vivid footnote to his growth in this cruel wilderness.

It made Lu Fan deeply realize that in this world full of crises and challenges, only by continuously forging ahead and strengthening oneself can one have the confidence to face unknown hardships and dangers.

And the huge uproar caused by those ten thousand Brown Bears earlier, although it caused a brief chaos in the capital of Huaxia, it was also like a special "show of strength."

It allowed the whole world to truly see the indestructible strength of the Huaxia military, as well as their admirable and excellent response and disposal capabilities in the face of crisis.

This undoubtedly powerfully demonstrated Huaxia's profound confidence to the globe.

In the livestream room, the audience witnessed the entire exciting process of the Huaxia military successfully subduing the ten thousand Brown Bears. Their emotions were instantly pushed to the peak, and their excitement was beyond words.

The barrage comments rolled frantically like dense snowflakes, the entire screen filled with heartfelt praise for the country's strength.

“I knew our country could handle it easily. With this level of execution and combat power, who in the world can compare?”

“This organizational and coordination ability is simply amazing! From formulating the capture plan to evacuating the masses, and finally the successful capture—it was all done in one go, a seamless connection. Truly our powerful motherland!”

“Just for this strength alone, my two packs of cigarettes a day are worth it!”

Everyone chimed in, every word and every line of the barrage comments filled with the deep pride of being a child of Huaxia.

However, amidst this tide of praise, there were also some discordant notes.

Some foreign netizens, their hearts and eyes full of jealousy and resentment, made sour remarks that were particularly jarring.

“Hmph, I thought these bears would give the Huaxia people a hard time and teach them a lesson. I didn't expect them to be dealt with so quickly. How disappointing!”

“So disappointing. I thought it would cause a major disaster, but they actually resolved the crisis so easily. It's so infuriating!”

However, these jealous comments were like small splashes in the screen full of positive energy barrage comments, instantly swallowed by the surging wave of pride.

Facing these sour words, the Huaxia audience showed no weakness and fought back forcefully.

“The strength is right here; jealousy is useless! Instead of making sarcastic remarks here, you should spend more effort improving your own country's emergency response capabilities!”

“The reason our country is strong is because of the concerted efforts and common struggles of countless people! Some people should really reflect on themselves!”

An Lan approached the Brown Bear carcass curiously, her eyes full of amazement, and couldn't help but blurt out: “This is way too big! It's even a good head taller than a person!”

Lu Fan responded with a smile, a hint of pride in his eyes: “Of course, otherwise would Da Hei and I have had to work so hard to take it down?”

Looking closely at the Brown Bear, Lu Fan already had a plan and decided to take it to the Small Pond to process it.

He knew in his heart that this Brown Bear was a treasure from head to toe; every part was incredibly precious, and he absolutely couldn't afford to waste a single bit.

“I'm going to go process this big guy. Da Hei, you stay at home and protect An Lan well.”

Lu Fan patted Da Hei's head, then called over Big Horn and Lightning.

Lu Fan and Big Horn worked together, putting in a tremendous amount of effort before finally dragging the heavy Brown Bear to the edge of the Small Pond.

The water here gurgled and was crystal clear, making it an excellent place to process the bear meat.

He could easily wash the bear meat and fur, and the bloody water would be quickly washed away by the current, effectively avoiding attracting the attention of other wild animals.

Reaching the stream, Lu Fan stretched his muscles, took a deep breath, and bolstered his courage, preparing for the big task.

He slowly pulled out the sharp dagger from his waist and weighed it in his hand repeatedly.

The blade shimmered with a cold light under the sunlight, as if it were impatiently recounting the "battle" that was about to begin.

As soon as he started to skin the bear, Lu Fan encountered a problem.

The Brown Bear's fur was thick and hard, like an impenetrable wall, leaving him nowhere to start.

But he didn't back down at all. Gritting his teeth, he gripped the hunting knife tightly with both hands and exerted all his strength to cut.

Beads of sweat constantly rolled down from his forehead, hitting the ground and disappearing instantly.

After a period of hard work, the entire bear skin finally began to be slowly peeled away.

Although some parts were scorched black by the explosion, as if deliberately painted with a layer of black pigment, fortunately, it didn't affect the overall integrity.

Looking at this huge bear skin, a warm thought suddenly flashed through Lu Fan's mind: “This bear skin is so large. If processed properly and dried for a few days to make a quilt for An Lan, it would definitely be warm and comfortable. She would definitely like it.”

Thinking of this, the corners of Lu Fan's mouth unconsciously curled up, revealing a gentle and sweet smile.

After dealing with the bear skin, next was butchering the bear meat. Relying on the experience he had accumulated during this time, Lu Fan proceeded methodically.

He carefully divided the bear meat into different parts, thinking silently: This part is tender and suitable for stewing; the soup made from it will definitely be delicious. This part has clear textures and is suitable for slicing thinly and roasting over the fire; with some seasoning, it will definitely be so fragrant it makes one's mouth water... While skillfully butchering, he meticulously planned the upcoming recipes in his heart, full of anticipation for making a sumptuous bear meat feast for An Lan and himself.

After being busy for a long time, the bear meat was finally butchered.

Looking at the pieces of bear meat arranged neatly and categorized on the ground, Lu Fan nodded with satisfaction, his eyes full of a sense of accomplishment.

At this moment, his gaze fell upon the bear paws.

He had only heard before that bear paw was a rare delicacy. Since he had captured a Brown Bear himself today, he had to taste this legendary delicacy no matter what.

He gently picked up a bear paw and examined it closely before his eyes.

The bear paw was large and thick, covered with coarse and hard hair, and the pads of the palm were elastic, looking very special.

Lu Fan wondered in his heart: “How should I handle this bear paw? If it doesn't taste good, it would be a waste of this hard-won precious ingredient.”

“Hmm... looking at its appearance, it should be similar to stewing pig's trotters. I'll just follow that example and give it a bold try.”

Lu Fan looked at the butchered bear meat on the ground, his heart full of a sense of accomplishment.

He gently patted the heads of Big Horn and Lightning and said softly, “Guys, you worked hard today. Let's transport all these treasures back.”

Big Horn and Lightning seemed to understand his words. They shook their heads excitedly, snorted happily, and cooperated fully as Lu Fan loaded the pieces of bear meat onto their backs.

On the way back, the warm sunlight fell gently on them, making them feel warm and cozy.
