74: Let Big Horn and Sheep Go, Extreme Rescue

In the wilderness, Lu Fan stood inside the Shelter he had built with his own hands, his eyes like torches as he quickly scanned every inch of the space.

His mind raced, carefully filtering through items that would be crucial for rescuing An Lan.

This rescue mission was filled with the unknown and danger; he had to be fully prepared, leaving no room for error.

He first picked up a bamboo tube, steadily filling it with fresh water, then grabbed a handful of salt to put in his pouch, followed by some jerky.

These seemingly simple supplies could become the key to his survival and combat in the wilderness.

Next, Lu Fan walked over to the weapon storage area.

He first picked up that incredibly sharp dagger, the blade flashing with a cold light that reflected his resolute face.

This dagger had been his capable partner in turning danger into safety many times in the wilderness, every scratch recording a past moment of peril.

He gently stroked the blade as scenes of using it to fend off wild beasts and butcher prey surfaced in his mind, and a surge of confidence welled up within him.

Immediately after, he shouldered the bow that had taken a great deal of effort to successfully craft.

The material of this bow was tough, the result of his meticulous selection and repeated polishing.

Then, he selected over a dozen finely polished arrows, the feathers at the tail neatly arranged.

The iron arrowheads were sharp beyond compare, glinting with a cold light under the sun as if telling of the upcoming battle.

"With these, I'll have a better chance of winning when I encounter enemies," Lu Fan thought to himself, his eyes revealing determination.

Finally, he picked up the trident.

He had brought almost all his weapons; such equipment could be called a heavy firepower loadout anywhere in the wilderness.

However, Lu Fan still felt it wasn't enough. After all, having experienced so many dangerous events, the pursuit of firepower and the desire for safety inherent in the bones of Chinese people had become increasingly strong; he was no exception, having developed "Firepower Deficiency Phobia."

After packing the crucial items, Lu Fan's gaze fell on the gear in the house that he wouldn't need for the time being.

He frowned deeply, lost in thought.

"Forget it, I don't care. Saving her is what matters."

At this moment, Lu Fan couldn't be bothered with so much.

Taking his equipment, Lu Fan went to the shed next to the Shelter.

In the shed, Big Horn and the ewe Baa Baa were leisurely eating grass, completely unaware of the impending danger.

Lu Fan gently stroked Big Horn's antlers and said softly, "Big Horn, I'm going on an important mission and can't take you with me. Go live freely in the wilderness; you must stay safe."

After saying that, he slowly opened the shed door and gently patted Big Horn's rear.

Big Horn seemed to understand his words; it froze for a moment, then slowly walked out of the shed.

It stood at the doorway, looking at Lu Fan and letting out a low call, as if expressing its reluctance to leave.

"Go on, go back to nature." Lu Fan gave them another gentle push outward.

Big Horn seemed to sense Lu Fan's determination and finally stepped forward, heading towards the depths of the wilderness.

The ewe Baa Baa also followed closely behind Big Horn, slowly disappearing from Lu Fan's sight. Lu Fan watched their retreating backs, silently praying they would be safe in the wilderness.

Meanwhile, the viewers in the livestream room had been tensely following Lu Fan's every move, the barrage comments scrolling continuously like snowflakes.

"Great God Lu Fan is fully prepared; he must be going to rescue An Lan!"

"Big Horn and Baa Baa are gone; this scene makes my heart ache."

"Me too, they were clearly like family."

"There's no other way. With Great God Lu Fan gone, it's very likely that Kalba guy would come to hurt them. This is for their own good."

"I didn't expect that Kalba to actually fake his death and trick Great God Lu Fan."

"Damn him."

After getting ready, Lu Fan mounted his steed.

"Let's go, Da Hei. I won't drive you away; I still have to rely on your nose to find her."

He patted the steed's neck and said, "Lightning, it's up to you now. We need to get to An Lan as quickly as possible."

Lightning seemed to understand his words, letting out a long neigh to the sky and raising its front hooves high, showing full motivation.

Da Hei also stood to the side, looking at Lu Fan with a determined gaze, as if saying, "Master, I'm ready too."

Lu Fan looked at Da Hei and said, "Da Hei, this mission is fraught with danger. You must keep up."

Da Hei wagged its tail in response.

With everything ready, Lu Fan squeezed the horse's flanks with his legs, and Lightning shot out like an arrow from a bow, with Da Hei following closely behind.

They galloped along a winding path toward An Lan's Shelter.

Along the way, the wind whistled in his ears, and Lu Fan's gaze remained fixed firmly ahead, with only one conviction in his heart: he must successfully rescue An Lan.

Over at the Small Pond, Kalba was still hiding in the water, with only his head showing, his eyes fixed deathly on the direction Lu Fan had left, his heart filled with hatred.

"Lu Fan, you just wait. I will definitely make you pay the price!" Kalba growled in a low voice, his tone full of spite.

Meanwhile, An Lan was still unaware of the danger she was about to face.

She was focused on studying medicinal herbs in her Shelter.

Although days of Wilderness Survival were hard, An Lan enjoyed them.

Because here, she could see many medicinal herbs that had long been extinct; those plants she could once only see in books could now be truly touched and studied.

For An Lan, being able to actually practice the effects of these medicinal herbs was a matter of supreme happiness.

And Meichuan Neiku, who had come by raft, had now reached the shore.

He walked to the riverbank, revealing a sinister smile.

According to his previous deductions, after the river reached the shore, he was only about ten kilometers away from An Lan's Shelter.

Meichuan Neiku looked at the distant forest and, thinking of the goal within reach, couldn't help but laugh triumphantly: "Chinese person, prepare to accept the sanctions of my Japan!"

In the livestream room, the viewers were extremely anxious.

"Oh no, what should we do? This Meichuan Neiku is almost there."

"But An Lan doesn't know the news yet."

"Gosh, I'm worried to death."

"It's fine, Great God Lu Fan is already on his way; he'll definitely make it in time."

"Yes, we have to believe in Great God Lu Fan."

After determining his direction based on the sun, Meichuan Neiku plunged into the woods.

In his bosom, he still carried the prepared pufferfish viscera, his evil tool for harming people.

Meanwhile, Lu Fan was rushing frantically. Even though the insides of his thighs were rubbed raw and even bleeding slightly, he didn't care at all.

[Deep pit ahead]

Lu Fan jerked the reins, and Lightning leaped high, directly clearing the deep pit.

Along the way, the Heavenly Dao Prompt played a huge role, helping him avoid many dangers.

As the distance to An Lan's Shelter grew closer, Lu Fan's heart couldn't help but speed up.

He knew that danger was approaching step by step, but he was not afraid at all.

He believed in his own abilities, the weapons in his hands, and even more in the companionship of Lightning and Da Hei.
