67: China's decision-making, Dahei's strength

In the Huaguo meeting room, the atmosphere was as heavy and oppressive as the lull before a storm, making everyone's breathing unconsciously labored.

The high-level officials of Huaguo sat neatly around a massive conference table, their eyes fixed on the screen in front of them, which was broadcasting the real-time footage of Wilderness Survival.

At this moment, Kalba was rowing a raft with all his might across the river, his urgent appearance seemingly announcing an impending crisis.

An intelligence analysis official spoke with a grim expression and a heavy tone: "Based on the current situation, the likelihood of Kalba meeting up with Meichuan Neiku is extremely high. Once they join forces, given Lu Fan's current supplies and environment, it will be difficult for him to contend with them."

As he spoke, his finger traced the river on the map, precisely marking the potential meeting points for Kalba and Meichuan Neiku.

"Then we must immediately send a barrage comment to warn Lu Fan. We cannot just watch our contestant fall into danger."

A general couldn't help but speak up, his eyes betraying anxiety and concern, wishing he could take immediate action to protect Lu Fan.

"But if we send a barrage comment now, won't it alert the enemy? It might make the Pretty Country and Japan realize we've seen through their plan, causing them to change strategies and target the weaker Contestant An Lan instead."

Another official raised an objection; his concerns were not without merit, as any move could trigger a series of chain reactions in such a delicate situation.

"Even worse, the area where Lu Fan is located has high terrain, and that river has a tributary that leads directly to Contestant An Lan's area. They have a chance to go downstream and find An Lan."

"The main issue is that we already sent a barrage comment to Ling Yue last week, and now we only have one chance left."

"In other words, if they set out from both sides simultaneously, we won't be able to notify both contestants."

The room erupted into a flurry of discussion as everyone chimed in.

Everyone analyzed the pros and cons from different angles, yet they remained unable to reach a consensus. The meeting room was filled with a tense and conflicted atmosphere.

At this moment, The Top Leader, who had been silent, slowly raised his head and scanned the room. The meeting room instantly fell silent, as if time had stood still.

The Top Leader pondered for a moment before speaking slowly: "Let's wait for a bit and closely monitor their movements. Lu Fan has shown extraordinary wisdom and adaptability in the previous Wilderness Survival challenges; we must trust him. Moreover, exposing our intervention too early could have unpredictable impacts on the future situation."

After hearing this, although they were still worried, everyone understood that The Top Leader's decision was based on far-reaching considerations, and they nodded in agreement. In this complex situation, staying calm and cautious was perhaps the best choice for now.

The next morning, the sunlight was like a golden gauze, gently and warmly draping over Lu Fan's Shelter.

Lu Fan gave a long stretch and climbed out of his warm bed.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Da Hei lying not far away, those bright eyes full of expectation.

His tail rhythmically thudded against the ground, making a "bang bang" sound, as if he couldn't wait to tell Lu Fan: "Master, get up quickly, we can go out and play again today!"

"Da Hei, looks like you're in good spirits today!"

Lu Fan smiled and patted Da Hei's hind leg, pleasantly surprised to find that the area where he was previously injured had almost completely healed.

His fur had also become smooth and glossy again, shimmering with a healthy glow under the sunlight.

"We're going out to hunt today to see if your skills have regressed after your injury healed."

Da Hei seemed to understand Lu Fan's words and jumped up excitedly, circling around Lu Fan incessantly while letting out low growls from his throat.

It was as if he was declaring that he was ready for battle and couldn't wait to show off his prowess.

Lu Fan packed up simply, took his Bow and Arrow and dagger, and set off on a hunting trip with Da Hei.

They followed a winding path deep into the mountain forest. The surrounding trees were lush and green, like giant green umbrellas shielding them from the sun.

Birds sang cheerfully on the branches, as if cheering them on for their journey or telling them the secrets of the forest.

"Da Hei, don't just focus on playing, you have to find some prey for me!" Lu Fan teased Da Hei as they walked.

Da Hei, like a loyal guard, bounced and leaped ahead to clear the way, occasionally stopping to sniff the ground, not missing a single suspicious scent.

As they walked, Da Hei suddenly stopped, his nose tilted high, sniffing the air forcefully.

His tail went straight, and his muscles tensed up like a fully drawn bowstring, ready to strike.

Lu Fan immediately realized something was up.

[Rock Sheep discovered]

He quietly approached Da Hei and looked in the direction of Da Hei's gaze. On a nearby hillside, several Rock Sheep were leisurely grazing.

Rock Sheep were robust with slender limbs; they were highly alert, and the slightest disturbance could cause them to flee instantly.

"Da Hei, it's up to you this time!"

Lu Fan whispered to Da Hei while taking his Bow and Arrow off his back, preparing to shoot at any moment, his eyes filled with determination and confidence.

Da Hei nodded slightly, as if responding to Lu Fan's request, and then silently moved toward the Rock Sheep.

His movements were light and agile, like a bolt of black lightning weaving through the grass, making almost no sound.

When Da Hei was only dozens of meters away from the Rock Sheep, one of them seemed to sense danger and raised its head to look around alertly.

Da Hei immediately stopped in his tracks and lay motionless on the ground, his eyes fixed on the Rock Sheep, as if time had frozen.

His body blended into the surrounding environment, making it nearly impossible to detect his presence.

After a while, the Rock Sheep saw nothing unusual and lowered its head to continue grazing.

Da Hei seized the opportunity and suddenly lunged forward like an arrow from a bow. His speed was incredibly fast, instantly shattering the surrounding silence and bringing a gust of wind.

The Rock Sheep were panicked by the sudden attack and scattered in all directions.

Da Hei locked his gaze onto one of the smaller Rock Sheep and pursued it relentlessly.

The Rock Sheep ran for its life, leaping nimbly through the mountains and using the terrain to try and shake off Da Hei's pursuit.

It would jump over a boulder one moment and dive into a thicket the next, every movement filled with the desire to survive.

Da Hei showed no weakness, his powerful limbs kicking off the ground, each leap brimming with strength.

During the chase, Da Hei cleverly used trees and rocks to change his running path, gradually closing the distance with the Rock Sheep.

Lu Fan followed behind, cheering for Da Hei as he ran.

"Go, Da Hei! Don't let it get away!" His voice echoed through the valley, full of power and encouragement.

Although he knew Da Hei's speed and ability, he couldn't help but feel nervous for him, his eyes never leaving Da Hei and the Rock Sheep for a second.

After an intense chase, the distance between Da Hei and the Rock Sheep grew shorter and shorter.

The Rock Sheep was panting heavily, its stamina gradually failing, and its steps became heavier and heavier.

Finally, in front of a steep slope, the Rock Sheep slipped and fell to the ground due to exhaustion.

Da Hei took the chance to leap up and clamped down on the Rock Sheep with his sharp claws and teeth, rendering it unable to move.

The Rock Sheep struggled a few times, but was ultimately subdued by Da Hei.

"Great job, Da Hei! Well done!" Lu Fan arrived at the scene and shouted excitedly.

Watching Da Hei subdue the Rock Sheep, his heart was filled with pride.

Da Hei stood majestically beside the Rock Sheep, letting out a victorious howl as if announcing his success to the whole world.

"Good work, Da Hei." Lu Fan walked over and gently stroked Da Hei's head, full of praise for his performance.

Da Hei wagged his tail and licked Lu Fan's hand, seemingly enjoying his master's praise, his eyes full of pride and satisfaction.

livestream room.

"Wow, Da Hei is so amazing."

"Da Hei is usually so silly, I almost forgot he's actually a wolf."

"Don't you guys think Great God Lu Fan looks like Yang Jian when he takes his trident and has Da Hei with him?"

"Now that you mention it, he really does, but Great God Lu Fan doesn't have the Ghost Eye."

"Huh? Which Yang Jian are you talking about?"

"When the supernatural begins to recover..."

Lu Fan inspected the Rock Sheep and found it was quite large, enough to feed him and Da Hei for several days.
