37: Chapter 37 New Member of the Shelter, Big Horn

Lu Fan led the Stag carrying the ore and returned smoothly to the camp.

After unloading the ore from the Stag, Lu Fan gave it some water.

Calling it "Stag" all the time wasn't quite right, so Lu Fan decided to give it a name.

"What would be a good name..."

Hearing that Lu Fan was going to name the Stag, the viewers in the livestream room also started sharing their ideas one after another.

"I thought of a good name, Ultraman."

"And I'm Golza then."

"I wonder what name Great God Lu Fan will give it."

After thinking for a moment, Lu Fan saw the Stag's antlers; they looked like extending branches, full of offensive power.

"Big Horn!" Lu Fan's eyes lit up.

He went over and touched the Stag's antlers, saying to it with irrepressible excitement, "Old buddy, from now on your name is Big Horn. Starting today, you are my, Lu's, chief logistics manager."

Big Horn seemed to understand partially, shaking its head as its antlers glistened in the sunlight.

After settling Big Horn and the ore, Lu Fan immediately began preparing to build a shed for Big Horn.

He knew well that the weather in the wilderness was unpredictable, so he had to give Big Horn a place to Shelter from the wind and rain.

No sooner said than done, Lu Fan picked up his axe and headed to the bamboo forest to cut some bamboo.

When selecting bamboo, he was extra careful, choosing only those that were thick, straight, and had tight grain.

For every one he selected, he would carefully feel it with his hands, sensing the texture of the wood to ensure it was sturdy and durable.

When felling the bamboo, he used all his strength, each swing of the axe accompanied by a whistling sound.

With the improvement of his physique, cutting bamboo became effortless and much easier.

He could fell a bamboo pole with almost a single strike.

After felling dozens of them in a row, Lu Fan was still not out of breath, looking completely relaxed.

In the livestream room.

"Holy crap, Great God Lu Fan has successfully evolved into Qiang-ge, he's so powerful."

"Great God Lu Fan's name should be known in Bear Ridge!"

"Great God Lu Fan has really become strong."

The process of transporting the bamboo was equally easy.

Lu Fan simply used vines to tie the bamboo into a bundle, lifted it with one hand onto his shoulder, and walked toward the Shelter.

Returning to the camp, Lu Fan didn't bother to rest and immediately threw himself into the construction work.

He first used the axe to trim the bamboo flat, then used vines to bind them tightly together.

He was fully focused, making every knot incredibly tight.

Big Horn watched Lu Fan work quietly from the side, letting out soft cries from time to time as if cheering him on.

After a whole day's effort, the frame of the shed was finally completed.

At this moment, Lu Fan's arms were sore, and his waist was also aching.

Although his physique had improved, no matter who it was, working like this for a day would still result in soreness.

But looking at the shed that had begun to take shape, a gratified smile appeared on Lu Fan's face.

However, the construction was not yet over. Next, he had to cover the shed with materials to protect it from the wind and rain.

This was simple enough; there were many leftover Bamboo Mats in his camp. They were all woven when he couldn't sleep at night.

Lu Fan carefully laid the Bamboo Mats one by one on the roof of the shed, then fixed them with thin branches.

After some meticulous arrangement, the shed was finally finished.

"Big Horn, come over and see your new home," Lu Fan called out to Big Horn.

"Wow, a house personally built by Great God Lu Fan, I want to live there too."

"First, you have to be able to help the Great God carry things, otherwise your end will be the same as that wild boar."

Big Horn obviously couldn't understand Lu Fan's words, but under his guidance, it knew this was a place to stay.

Big Horn slowly walked into the shed, circled around inside, and then stood quietly within it, its eyes full of contentment.

The night curtain, like a giant piece of black satin, slowly spread across the wilderness, gently enveloping Lu Fan's camp.

After a busy day, Lu Fan's stomach was already growling, so he decided to make a sumptuous dinner for himself.

In the camp, a simple campfire crackled and burned, the dancing flames reflecting on Lu Fan's face.

He took several Taros out of the basket; after a day, the Taros were still plump and fresh.

Lu Fan skillfully peeled the Taros and sliced them into thin pieces, then set a frying pan over the campfire and poured in some lard.

Once the lard melted and began to sizzle, he neatly arranged the Taro slices in the pan.

Instantly, a cheerful frying sound erupted in the pan; kissed by the hot oil, the Taro slices gradually became golden and crispy, emitting an enticing aroma.

While the Taro cakes were frying, Lu Fan took out the lamb chops he had prepared earlier.

He evenly sprinkled salt and crushed chili pepper over the lamb chops and then placed them in the pan.

Under the high heat, the lamb chops quickly changed color, a tempting charred aroma rising from the surface as fat continuously seeped out, dripping into the campfire and causing tiny sparks to fly.

Before long, the pan-fried Taro cakes and fried lamb chops were ready.

Lu Fan served them on a plate specially made from leaves; the golden Taro cakes paired with the lamb chops, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, were enticing in color and fragrant.

He found a comfortable spot to sit down, ready to enjoy this hard-earned meal.

In the livestream room.

"Every ordinary meal of Great God Lu Fan is something beyond my reach."

"I'm dying of hunger just looking at this."

"A man who can cook is indeed the most handsome."

"I also ordered lamb chops, although I don't know what they were synthesized from."

Many viewers were watching Lu Fan's livestream while eating, clearly treating him as a mukbang host.

After a few bites, Lu FanAs if remembering something, turned to look at Big Horn.

Big Horn was staying quietly in the shed, letting out occasional low calls.

Lu Fan stood up, picked up his large blade, and walked toward the lush grassland near the camp.

The moonlight, like water, spilled over Lu Fan, outlining his slender figure.

He swung the large blade with skilled and powerful movements, and clumps of fresh green grass fell one after another under his hand.

But to be honest, it still wasn't as handy as a sickle.

Soon, he had cut a large bundle of fodder.

Returning to the camp, Lu Fan brought the fodder to Big Horn, then scooped out a small handful of salt from a jar and sprinkled it evenly over the grass.

The salt shimmered with tiny glints in the moonlight, looking like stars had fallen onto the grass.

"Big Horn, go ahead and eat. You worked hard today. In the future, I'll make sure you live the good life."

Big Horn seemed to understand him, lowering its head to eat the fodder with relish, occasionally looking up at Lu Fan with eyes full of satisfaction.

Lu Fan sat back down by the campfire, eating his dinner while watching Big Horn.

At this moment, the whole world seemed to have gone quiet, with only the sound of the burning campfire and the rustling of Big Horn eating grass.

"This scene is so heartwarming."

"Great God Lu Fan finally has a companion; he's not lonely anymore."

In this vast, boundless wilderness full of unknowns and dangers, this simple dinner and the image of the man and the deer together appeared exceptionally warm.
