9: Heavy rain is coming

Seeing the Large Yellow Croaker Lu Fan caught, the audience expressed their admiration one after another.

"This fish is golden and shimmering; it looks very valuable at a glance."

"Wow, I really want to eat it."

Lu Fan was also very excited. Even in his past life, he had only seen things like Large Yellow Croakers on television. Generally, only those big bosses could afford to eat wild Large Yellow Croakers.

He quickly placed the Large Yellow Croaker on the shore and went to spear the other one. After a bit of effort, both Large Yellow Croakers were caught in his hands.

Wang Tao: "Large Yellow Croakers went extinct in our country a long time ago. Because of their festive color and delicious taste, they were highly sought after and were known as the 'Soft Gold of the Sea'."

After seeing the announcement, the viewers flooded the livestream room with messages.

"Wow, Lu Fan is too amazing!"

"I'm so envious, these Large Yellow Croakers are a rare find!"

"This ten thousand times rebate is simply heaven-defying! Lu Fan is a hero of our country."

Looking at the announcement, Lu Fan felt a surge of excitement in his heart. He knew that these Large Yellow Croakers were worth a fortune in the real world, and now with the ten thousand times rebate, this was a massive amount of wealth.

However, he did not let this sudden windfall go to his head; he knew the most important thing right now was to fill his stomach first.

Carrying the two fish, he quickly returned to the Shelter.

He washed the two Large Yellow Croakers and then gutted and cleaned them thoroughly.

Next, Lu Fan set up a simple grill in front of the Shelter and placed the Large Yellow Croakers on it to roast.

The flames licked the fish, making a 'sizzling' sound. The aroma of the fish wafted everywhere, making one's mouth water.

The viewers in the livestream room were even more tempted by the enticing visuals and aroma, leaving comments one after another.

"Lu Fan, hurry up and finish roasting the fish, I'm dying of hunger just watching!"

"This Large Yellow Croaker must taste especially good roasted; I'm about to drool!"

"Lu Fan, you're torturing us! Hurry up and eat it for us to see!"

Lu Fan roasted the fish while a happy smile radiated from his face. When the fish was charred on the outside and tender on the inside, golden and crispy, he lightly poked it with a twig to confirm it was cooked through.

Then, he carefully removed the fish from the grill and placed it on a bamboo mat.

Lu Fan picked up a piece of fish and took a light bite. The meat was tender and juicy, leaving a fragrance lingering in his mouth.

He couldn't help but praise: "It's truly delicious! These Large Yellow Croakers really live up to their reputation!"

The viewers in the livestream room also began to cheer.

"Wow, Lu Fan's expression is so satisfied, I want a taste too!"

"This Large Yellow Croaker must be delicious. Lu Fan, you're so lucky!"

"Quickly eat more, let us feast our eyes!"

"Many contestants from other countries are still starving."

Lu Fan ate the fish in large mouthfuls, enjoying this rare delicacy.

Just then, the sky suddenly turned gloomy, dark clouds gathered, and a fierce wind began to howl. Lu Fan looked up and was startled; he knew a rainstorm was imminent.

Lu Fan placed several intact coconut shells and seashells outside the Shelter, preparing to collect some fresh water.

"Rumble!"

Thunder began to roll.

Lu Fan quickly sped up, finishing the remaining fish meat and then swiftly packing up the grill and other items to prepare for the coming storm.

The audience also grew tense.

"Lu Fan, hurry and find a safe place to hide!"

"Be careful when the rainstorm comes!"

"Lu Fan, hurry up!"

Lu Fan quickly moved his food and fire source inside the Shelter. His Shelter was six meters long, three meters wide, and two meters high—it was very spacious.

Inside the Shelter, Lu Fan listened to the howling of the storm outside, but his heart felt very steady.

"Luckily I built the Shelter in time today, otherwise I'd be a drowned rat."

He knew this sturdy Shelter could withstand this rainstorm, allowing him to pass through it safely. He lay on the bamboo mat, reminiscing about the delicious taste of the roasted Large Yellow Croaker, his heart filled with satisfaction.

"Great God Lu Fan's Shelter was really built at the perfect time."

Meanwhile, the contestants from Japan and the Pretty Country were in a wretched state in the rainstorm.

The Japanese contestant had not taken rainproofing measures in advance, having only a few branches as a Shelter. Rainwater poured into their Shelter, leaving them shivering in the rain.

Although Andre from the Pretty Country had built a simple rain shed, it wasn't sturdy and was being blown about by the strong wind. He was forced to rebuild it in the rain.

Ling Yue, coming from a Special Forces background, had already used his solid skills to build a crude but incredibly sturdy Shelter.

As for An Lan, she had finished her Shelter on the very first day. With her ingenious design, her Shelter could also barely hold up in the rain.

At this moment, the viewers in An Lan's livestream room were all worried for her.

Because just now, a tree not far from her Shelter had been struck by lightning and had caught fire.

Right then, Contestant An Lan showed unparalleled courage. She rushed out of the Shelter and retrieved a fire source that hadn't gone out yet from the struck tree.

This scene happened very quickly, but it shocked all the viewers.

Wang Tao and the other two couldn't help but applaud. Wang Tao praised: "The courage shown by Contestant An Lan is truly beyond our imagination."

"In this way, Contestant An Lan has a fire source, and her quality of life has taken a huge leap forward."

In An Lan's unknown home, her mother couldn't help but shed tears of heartache.

When the Huaguo viewers saw this, they all expressed their admiration in the livestream room.

"Contestant An Lan is too amazing; she is a representative of great women."

"I declare that from today on, An Lan is my idol."

"Haha, the Japanese contestants are so pitiful, they can't even build a proper shed!"

"The Pretty Country contestant isn't much better either. The rain is so heavy, and his rain shed is actually leaking!"

"Our Lu Fan is still the best. This Shelter is built so sturdily that even the rainstorm can't do anything to him!"

Inside the Shelter, Lu Fan couldn't help but feel some emotion. He knew that all of this was thanks to the help of the heavenly dao prompt sound, which allowed him to build a sturdy Shelter in advance.

The rainstorm lasted for several hours, finally tapering off late at night. Lu Fan stepped out of the Shelter and saw the sky outside had become clear again, his heart filled with hope.

He not only wanted to survive in the wilderness but also wanted to live comfortably and help his country escape its predicament of resource scarcity.

Meanwhile, the contestants from other countries began to clean up the mess after the storm. Some had even started to run a fever; the situation was very grim.
