153: Brown bear night attack

Night shrouded the wilderness, and everything was deathly silent, except for the occasional sound of insects echoing softly in the quiet night.

Lu Fan and An Lan lay in the Shelter, gradually sinking into a dreamland after a day of busyness and shock.

Moonlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, scattering fragmented light and shadows as if spreading a hazy silver veil over the Shelter.

Suddenly, a dull thud, like a heavy hammer, violently shattered the tranquility of the night.

Immediately after, Da Hei's urgent barking suddenly rang out.

Lu Fan woke up with a start from his slumber, his mind still groggy, when he heard a low growl and the sound of the beehive being violently struck.

"What's the situation?" He cleared his head instantly, a sense of unease welling up in his heart.

[A Brown Bear has broken into the Shelter]

Lu Fan quickly sat up and reached out to grab the Broadsword placed by the bed, his movements crisp and decisive, without the slightest hesitation.

An Lan beside him was also startled awake, her eyes sleepy and her face full of confusion, her voice still carrying the lingering traces of sleep: "What's wrong? What happened?"

Before Lu Fan could answer, he saw a massive figure shaking violently in the Shelter.

Looking closely, a huge Brown Bear was standing in front of the beehive, its thick paws frantically swatting at it, only wanting to get the honey inside.

The swarm of bees was completely disturbed, and the sound of buzzing instantly filled the space—it was a cry of angry protest.

Da Hei barked loudly at the Brown Bear, but the Brown Bear was completely immersed in plundering the honey, turning a deaf ear to Da Hei's provocation.

"This beast is here to steal the honey!"

Lu Fan cried out, quickly lit a torch, and shouted loudly as he rushed toward the Brown Bear without hesitation, trying to drive it away: "Damn it! You bastard, get out of here!"

The Brown Bear shuddered at Lu Fan's sudden appearance; it turned its head abruptly, its round eyes shimmering with an eerie light in the darkness, filled with wildness and ferocity.

It let out a deafening roar at Lu Fan, the sweet scent of honey still lingering in its mouth.

The roar made Lu Fan's ears ring, as if the whole world was trembling in that sound.

But Lu Fan did not back down; he gripped the torch tightly, the flame flickering violently in the night wind, illuminating his resolute face.

He brandished the torch and approached the Brown Bear step by step with determination, each footfall steady and powerful: "You brute, you dare roar at me! Give me back my honey!"

While shouting, he assumed a posture ready to attack at any moment, his momentum not losing out to the beast before him at all.

The Brown Bear also seemed to be intimidated by Lu Fan's aura; its massive body trembled slightly, and after a moment of hesitation, it swatted the beehive heavily twice more, honey splashing out.

But ultimately, its innate fear of fire and Lu Fan's intimidation made it back down.

Then, it turned away unwillingly and ran out of the Shelter with heavy, swaying steps, disappearing into the darkness.

"Phew, it's finally gone."

Lu Fan let out a long sigh of relief, his tense body relaxing instantly as he slowly lowered the torch.

At this time, An Lan also walked over quickly, looking at the mess in the Shelter and sighing helplessly: "This Brown Bear really knows how to cause trouble; now we've got our work cut out for us."

Under the moonlight, the beehive lay miserably on the ground, its wooden boards shattered by the Brown Bear's paws; honey was spilled everywhere, emitting an enticingly sweet aroma that only added to the state of disarray.

A section of the fence had also been pushed down by the Brown Bear, with wood scattered all over the place in a chaotic mess.

Lu Fan and An Lan held their torches and carefully inspected the damage.

"This beehive needs to be fixed quickly, otherwise the bees will all fly away." Lu Fan frowned as he looked at the damaged beehive, his tone full of anxiety.

An Lan nodded and bent over to pick up a wooden board from the ground: "This fence also needs to be reinforced, otherwise next time the Brown Bear comes, it still won't be able to stop it."

The two of them tidied up briefly, then comforted the animals before returning to bed.

But that night, neither of them slept soundly again; their nerves remained taut, and they would wake up with a start from time to time, their ears constantly listening for any movement outside, worried the Brown Bear would attack again.

The next morning, as the sunlight spilled gently into the Shelter, Lu Fan and An Lan got out of bed early.

Looking at the shocking mess before them, the two shared a helpless glance and quickly began the repairs.

livestream room.

"My god, what happened last night? Why is it such a mess?"

"A Brown Bear was stealing honey last night; it was terrifying."

"I'm done, missed it again. Didn't see anything; I only went to sleep five minutes early."

Lu Fan found some tools and first propped up the beehive.

He bent down and carefully examined the damage to the beehive, unable to help muttering: "This Brown Bear really hit hard; it even smashed such thick wooden boards."

As he spoke, he picked up a new wooden board and began nailing it to the damaged area with practiced movements, each strike carrying a sense of ruthlessness, as if he were competing with the Brown Bear from afar.

An Lan helped by passing tools from the side, and seeing Lu Fan's serious expression, she couldn't help but tease: "With this posture, you're going to turn this beehive into an impregnable fortress."

Lu Fan didn't even look up, his hands never stopping as he replied with a smile: "Of course. Next time that Brown Bear comes, I won't even let it catch a whiff of the honey."

After fixing the beehive, they started repairing the fence without a moment's rest.

Lu Fan rearranged the scattered wood, sticking them one by one into the ground, then tied them tightly together with rope, making every knot incredibly firm.

As he tied them, he calculated in his mind how to deal with the Brown Bear: "That Brown Bear will definitely come back. We have to find a way; we can't let it have its way so easily every time."

An Lan chimed in from the side: "How about we set a trap? Make sure it never returns."

Hearing An Lan's suggestion to set a trap, various images quickly flashed through Lu Fan's mind.

If they set a trap in the Shelter, they might accidentally injure themselves before even hurting the Brown Bear, or if the trap was triggered, a crazed Brown Bear might go on a rampage in the Shelter, and their home would be completely gone.

Thinking of this, Lu Fan shook his head decisively, and a bold idea sprouted in his heart—to take the initiative, track the Brown Bear's trail, and start a wilderness hunt.

He told An Lan about this idea, and upon hearing it, her eyes widened, and her face was full of worry: "Are you crazy? That's a Brown Bear; it could turn a person into a meat patty with one swipe of its paw!"

Lu Fan grinned nonchalantly and patted his chest, saying, "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I have Da Hei, this 'super bodyguard,' with me. It has a keen sense of smell, and with its help, there won't be any problem!"

Besides, I have a cheat.

Lu Fan added to himself in his heart.
