100: Dark Wizard Phantom

Outside the Maze Swamp.

A group of six people stood neatly under a large banyan tree.

Twelve eyes were fixed on the five huge display screens in front of them.

Although all of them were pitch black, a loud shout from Green came from one of the screens:

"Captain Andre..."

"Adler..."

"Wizard Monica..."

If Green were here, he would be surprised to find that he knew all six of these people.

And knew them very well.

They were—

The five members of the Devil Squad who were "attacked"—

Captain Andre;

Wizard Bernat;

Wizard Monica;

Good brother Adler;

Wizard Anthony... Not one was missing, all were here.

Each dressed neatly and cleanly... And this sixth person was Mentor Jordan, who had been missing for over two months!

..."Mentor Jordan, isn't this training too harsh?"

Adler still thought this was a special training for Green, so he obediently followed Mentor Jordan's arrangements.

The Devil Squad had spent three days setting up hundreds of wizardry traps in the inner perimeter of the Maze Swamp!

Adler watched as Green, despite being extremely careful and using various methods to test, still occasionally ended up covered in dirt and scars from those mysterious and unpredictable wizardry traps.

Even so, Green was still shouting the names of his Devil Squad teammates, wanting to save and protect them... Adler couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Mentor Jordan calmly said:

"The great Ancient Wizard—Hessota Clytean once said: Only by encountering the most genuine death crisis can a wizard's full potential be unleashed. Those illusory simulations and limited training can only produce an elite soldier, but not forge a battle-hardened king."

"Adler, this is Green's necessary path."

"From the moment he chose to embark on this path, death will always accompany Green."

"The only thing we can do is, when Green has only one breath left, send him to the Academy's emergency medical room as quickly as possible."

"Adler, take off all your equipment and give it to Anthony to hold."

"That way you can run faster with Green on your back later..."

...Adler was stunned, but saw that his teammates around him all looked in agreement.

Anthony even urged:

"Hurry up, stop dawdling, do you still want to save your brother's life?"

Anthony's tone even carried a hint of inexplicable excitement and thrill.

Adler could only silently take off all his equipment.

At the same time, he silently said to Green in his heart:

"Green... Green..."

"It's not that your brother won't help you, it's just that the arm can't twist the thigh. May you find your own blessings..."

"But don't worry, I'm starting to warm up now. I promise to use all my strength to send you back to the Academy as quickly as possible."

...At this moment, Green was still trying to find his teammates... Unaware of everything happening outside, Green had no idea that what was about to happen had all been clearly arranged by others.

Green strode forward in the inner perimeter of the Maze Swamp, exploring, and at the same time making marks in conspicuous places to prevent himself from walking back without realizing it.

Green shouted his teammates' names loudly.

At the same time, he used various persuasive words, trying to warn the hidden enemy:

"Listen, whoever is hiding in the dark, we are the Devil Squad of Plant Heart Wizard Academy."

"We have ten members, five official members, and five reserve members."

"We are conducting tactical exercises here. Please do not harm our teammates, otherwise, you will not be able to withstand the wrath of ten experienced Intermediate Wizards."

"Moreover, my teacher, Devil Jordan, is also waiting outside the Maze Swamp. You must have heard his name. My teacher has personally beheaded a Black Wizard, and an Advanced Wizard Apprentice at that."

"He is a formidable person. If you don't want to lose your lives, release our teammates as soon as possible, and we will guarantee not to attack you."

"Listen, whoever is hiding in the dark..."

...At this moment.

Two sneaky figures were hiding in a large puddle.

Both were covered in wide black robes.

With the double stealth effect, even though Green was walking two meters past them, he didn't notice them.

As Green's voice faded further away... a particularly burly black-robed figure spoke.

He wore blood-red armor, and a second head had grown from his neck. However, this second head seemed underdeveloped, only the size of a baby's skull, and had a green face with fangs, looking extremely bizarre and terrifying.

"Pierre..."

"Should I do it or not? I'm itching to give that foolish boy a sneak attack from behind with a stick. I guarantee he'll see stars, feel dizzy, and his head will crack open..."

"Ender Weill, if you want to die early, don't drag me into it."

The other black-robed figure said coldly.

His appearance was much more normal; at first glance, he was just an ordinary Wizard Apprentice, the kind who would be inconspicuous if thrown into the communication hall.

However, beneath his skin, various colored insects would occasionally crawl out and then crawl back in... Anyone with an insect phobia would definitely get goosebumps and dare not look a second time... "What do you mean?"

"We're grasshoppers tied to the same rope now. Are you still trying to curse me to death?"

The burly Ender Weill immediately bristled, his voice unconsciously growing much louder.

"If you want to die now, then speak louder and attract the target..."

The Insect-raising Wizard—Pierre's voice grew colder.

"This idiot, whose brain has been affected by his bloodline, I don't know why Devil Jordan chose him to be my partner."

The Two-Headed Wizard—Ender Weill realized something was wrong and lowered his voice.

Although he sometimes made foolish mistakes, he wouldn't be foolish about his own life and death.

"Heh..."

"I finally met a wizard dumber than me, and a White Wizard at that."

"Does he think we don't know Devil Jordan is outside? If he weren't watching, I'd eat this whole pile of black mud..."

"If it weren't for that brutal guy severely injuring us and directly capturing us, would I come to this ghost place to play hide-and-seek with you? What a joke."

"Right, Pierre?"

..."Can't you just be quiet for a bit?"

The Insect-raising Wizard—Pierre was getting fed up with his companion:

"You're happy to be captured and used as a fighting beast, aren't you?"

"Now the most important thing is to steadily complete Lord Jordan's task—to lure that naive, foolish rookie to the trap around noon, and then beat him to within an inch of his life..."

"Only then can we have a chance to live, hoping that Lord Jordan will keep his word and let us go after the task is completed."

"Tch..."

"Pierre, have your brains been eaten by worms?"

"You still hope to live after falling into the hands of a White Wizard?"

The Two-Headed Wizard—Ender Weill sneered:

"Don't forget, we are pure Black Wizards, and Black Wizards on their Plant Heart Wizard Academy's black list for assassination."

"Which of us doesn't have the lives of ten or eight of their Academy's apprentices on our hands."

"From the moment I was captured, I knew that my fifty-plus years of life, and forty-plus years as a wizard, were coming to an end."

"My only thought now is—to drag someone down with me before I die."

"I think that foolish, naive wizard who wants to save his teammates is very suitable. To personally stifle a top young genius wizard, that feeling is truly exhilarating."

The Insect-raising Wizard—Pierre fell silent, seemingly contemplating his fate... The Two-Headed Wizard—Ender Weill, seeing his companion ignore him, also stopped chattering... But his eyes grew brighter and brighter... The bloodthirsty red glow in his eyes became more and more intense...
