16: Learning plan

For the past two days, Green did nothing.

He focused entirely on organizing and planning—his study schedule for the next five months.

After Green made several trips to move all the textbooks back to his dorm.

He then went to the academy's logistics and general affairs department and collected thirty notebooks, along with enough quills and ink.

Every Wizard Apprentice receives a thick five-year teaching plan outline.

The outline… will detail the Wizard Apprentice's learning direction and goals for these five years, and also lists the names of mentors and teaching progress plans for various courses arranged by the academy for the first four years… Green received the teaching outlines for Demonized Plants Cultivation and Pharmacology.

Because there might be course conflicts.

So Green had no choice but to cross-reference the two outlines, mark the conflicting courses.

He prioritized them based on importance and difficulty, incorporating all courses from the first two years into his five-month preview plan.

Finally… Green, based on his previous study level and the mentors’ assessment of the workload for each course, converted these into a conclusion:

To complete the planned five-month preview schedule.

Over the next five months, Green must maintain at least ten hours of study per day.

And this was even after Green severely compressed his Wizardry practice time.

After Green calculated the result, he felt completely numb… Green lay quietly on the willow lounge chair by the door.

He looked at the blue sky and the freely flying geese.

Green longed to soar freely in the boundless sky like a bird.

“Hey, Green, what are you thinking about? You look so pale?”

A pleasant, crisp voice, like the song of a skylark, came.

“I’m going to die… Ah… Ah… Ah… Studying two subjects at once, I’m afraid I’ll drop dead…”

Green involuntarily expressed his innermost thoughts.

“Heh heh heh… I didn’t expect you to choose this path too.”

“Green, don’t worry, it’s nothing major.”

“Your current pain is temporary, but the torment is eternal…”

The girl's laughter was as beautiful as spring… but her words pierced Green’s heart.

Green snapped out of his depression, realizing it was Ally’s voice.

He turned his head to see a bright, smiling face blooming at the fourth-floor window.

“What, Lady Ally, when did you start talking like Oakes?”

Green was in a bad mood, so he spoke without much restraint, retorting to Ally.

“Wasn’t I just trying to guide you? My good intentions are being taken for granted…”

“You’ve only just started; I’ve been studying for half a year, and I’m not as half-dead as you are.”

Hearing this, Ally’s eyebrows immediately furrowed, and she said unceremoniously.

“Here, these are my own study plans and some study notes.”

“I know you must have also chosen Demonized Plants Cultivation and Pharmacology, so these can be a reference for you.”

“Return them next week!”

Ally used Hand of Wizardry to levitate three parchment notebooks, slowly lowering them onto Green’s head.

“Bang!”

Suddenly, she dispelled her Wizardry, and the notebooks crashed heavily onto Green’s forehead.

“Hmph!”

Ally turned and closed the window.

“Uh…”

Green rolled his eyes in annoyance, “I was just lying here EMOing peacefully, who did I bother… He picked up the notebooks, and a fresh scent of ink, mixed with a faint aroma of lilac, wafted towards him.”

Green knew Ally's favorite flower was lilac.

Green no longer felt like indulging in melancholy; he quickly folded his lounge chair and returned to the study room.

Carefully opening a notebook, Green slowly read every word.

The notes were not written in modern Wizard language, but in Motlan Grand Kingdom’s official language, which is also the most widely used language throughout Mist Coast—Motlan Grand Script. So Green didn't need to expend Spiritual Power to read it.

But Green still read very carefully… Several hours passed before Green looked up and stretched his stiff neck.

Green saw the gap. A huge gap… Ally was indeed worthy of being a super-scholar, ranking among the top three in the entire grade.

Not only had she completed her second five-year grand exam a year early, but she had also previewed courses for two subjects simultaneously during these seven months.

Judging by her progress, Ally had already completed two years of courses.

The favor of the Wizard World not only granted her unparalleled beauty but also top-tier learning talent.

Comparing it to his own study plan, Green felt he was just a piece of trash, an unpresentable piece of trash… Although he really didn't want to owe Ally, that tsundere, a favor.

But for his own smooth and easier learning, Green still, from his heart, modified his plan according to Ally's study plan.

Essentially, he just reduced the time for comprehending and practicing the four low-level Wizardry, while keeping everything else exactly the same… How can a scholar’s actions be called plagiarism?

As they say in Green’s hometown:

Chinese is called 'referencing', Math is called 'analogy';

English is called 'copying', Geography is called 'migration';

Biology is called 'transcription', Physics is called 'frame of reference';

Chemistry is called 'isomerism', Politics is called 'seeking common ground while reserving differences', and History is called 'cultural unification'.

As Green thought about it, he started to laugh, and the air filled with a cheerful atmosphere… Today is a happy day, let's celebrate, off to the restaurant.

Green arrived at the free dining area in the north section of the first floor of the Wizard Tower.

He began to randomly select some lucky ones destined for Green’s stomach.

Today was just a small milestone in Green’s own study career.

He didn’t invite his two good brothers to celebrate, as they were probably busy studying now.

Originally, Green had an extra sum of magic stones, a reward from the academy.

His pockets were finally not empty, and he even wanted to try the paid section.

He heard Oakes say that most of the delicacies in the paid section were made from Demonized Plantss and Magic Beasts beneficial to a Wizard Apprentice’s cultivation, and the taste was richer.

But thinking about the enormous amount of magic stones required for an Apothecary’s studies.

Green still decided to let his stomach suffer for a bit; as the old saying goes, no pain, no gain.

He who suffers the bitterest, becomes the best!

...Green faced a row of delicacies laid out before him:

Half a crispy fried chicken, two Angus pan-fried steaks;

A small piece of grilled lamb chop, a small serving of caviar with foie gras;

A small piece of smoked pork, a medium-sized cheese tomato pizza;

A half-meter-long Mist Crystal Shrimp, a sea-blue bread crab as big as Green's head;

A small dish of chicken popcorn with golden fries, a hot dog as thick as a baby's arm, plus three large glasses of ice-cold dark beer.

Green couldn't help but feel tears of emotion stream from the corners of his mouth.

He immediately turned his grief into appetite, devouring all the delicacies like a whirlwind.

After a long while… “Burp…”

Green let out a satisfyingly loud and long burp.

Clearly, Green had eaten well… As a member of the Seven Towers Alliance, the overlord of the Mist Coast, Plant Heart Wizard Academy enjoyed a transcendent status throughout the Motlan Grand Kingdom.

These mundane delicacies were all tributes offered by the Motlan Grand Kingdom with the full strength of the nation.

Even the chefs who cooked these delicacies were from long-standing imperial court culinary traditions or were private chefs for various great nobles in different regions.

Although the entire Motlan Grand Kingdom was still at a production level similar to the Middle Ages.

But with the blessing of extraordinary power.

The culinary art of the Wizard World had developed a unique and fantastical style, primarily using pan-frying, fire-roasting, and oven-baking methods.

Green dared to pat his bulging belly and guarantee that these delicacies were definitely no worse than the so-called three-star Michelin meals on Blue Star.

Of course, as for higher-rated five-star or even state banquets, Green couldn't compare.

Because Green never had the chance to eat them on Blue Star either…
