17: Three geniuses and a husky?
Eight in the morning.
Green Anglet stood quietly at the entrance of Old Moore Botanical Garden, waiting.
The other two interns had also arrived.
Adler was fine; Green Anglet even had a friendly discussion with him about botany-related study issues.
Lilith, however, was a bit strange.
She didn't greet him upon seeing him and even glared fiercely at Green Anglet.
Green Anglet touched his nose, unable to figure out how he had offended this young blonde girl.
But Green Anglet didn't take it to heart.
Perhaps Lilith was still bleeding.
Girls always have a few days each month when their temper isn't good.
It was like this on Blue Star, and it was probably the same in the Wizard World...
A moment later, the entrance of the Botanical Garden opened.
A slightly plump male apprentice, about thirty years old, wearing black-rimmed glasses, walked out.
He surveyed the three people present, then introduced himself with a cheerful smile:
"I am the assistant director of Old Moore Botanical Garden. You can call me Senior Reinhardt."
"Old Moler has assigned me as your internship mentor for the Botanical Garden."
"Today's main task is to activate your Wizard Array permissions for Old Moore Botanical Garden."
"Then, I'll help you familiarize yourselves with your future work content and arrangements at Old Moore Botanical Garden."
"You can introduce yourselves first, so I can get to know you."
...
"Senior Reinhardt, I am Lilith Bradley. It's a great pleasure to study under you."
"I've heard of your vast and wise reputation. As the one who broke the historical record for the youngest Intermediate Magical Plant Cultivator at our Plant Heart Wizard Academy, you are a legendary existence in the eyes of us later apprentices."
Lilith answered first, her voice modulated and with a slight singing lilt at the end, flattering him to the extreme. She had clearly done her homework early...
"Hello, Miss Lilith. It's a pleasure to meet you too."
"Those past achievements are not worth mentioning. Maintaining an eternal curiosity and exploration for wizard's path truth is what we should pursue."
Senior Reinhardt still replied with a cheerful smile. Clearly, Lilith's flattery had missed its mark this time, probably because she hadn't prepared her homework thoroughly, Green Anglet thought to himself...
"Hello, Senior Reinhardt, I am Green Anglet."
"I am also honored to receive your guidance. May your wizard's path eternally flourish."
Green Anglet respectfully performed a Wizard's blessing salute to Senior Reinhardt.
"Hello, Green Anglet. May I call you that?"
"Old Moler mentioned you to me..."
"He said you are a polite and promising young talent, and he asked me to take good care of you."
Senior Reinhardt responded warmly. Lilith's face immediately darkened upon hearing this.
"Of course."
"Senior Reinhardt, it's my honor."
"My friends all call me Green Anglet." Green Anglet quickly replied...
"Hello, Senior Reinhardt, I am Adler Simon."
"I am also honored to study under you."
"May your wizard's path advance bravely like the Path of the Knight!" Adler also respectfully bowed.
"Mr. Adler, it's a pleasure to meet you too."
"It seems you have quite a talent for the Path of the Knight. For us Wizard Apprentices, in the early stages, the Path of the Knight can indeed help us grow better. I wish you an early promotion to Grand Knight."
Senior Reinhardt said with an encouraging smile.
"I will, thank you for your blessing."
"I have been an official Knight for a year now, and I'm close to breaking through to Advanced Knight."
"My Knight mentor says I have a great chance of becoming a Grand Knight before the third five-year grand examination."
Adler said with a hint of pride. With his two-meter-two height and head held high, Green Anglet, at one-meter-eight, could only see his chin. The shadow he cast completely enveloped the petite Lilith...
When Green Anglet first saw Adler.
Green Anglet thought a zoo had left its gate open and let out a large bear.
He was two meters two tall and over a meter wide.
His arms were thicker than Green Anglet's thighs, he had a short buzz cut, and a hint of stubble on his chin.
He had a square face and looked quite mature, appearing to be forty at first glance.
One phrase aptly described Adler: A man who tames horses, mighty and strong!
But it was fine when he didn't smile; once he smiled, others could tell he was still just a child.
Hehehe, always letting out silly, goofy laughs...
Goodness...
Green Anglet's mind was a bit overwhelmed.
He thought: "Did my mouth become blessed?"
"During the interview, I boasted that Old Moler's Botanical Garden was full of talent, a galaxy of stars. Wasn't that just idle talk, just to flatter Old Moler?"
...
This Old Moore Botanical Garden.
Any internship mentor you picked out was a record-breaking genius.
Don't underestimate an Intermediate Magical Plant Cultivator. Most people only pass this assessment in their fourth five-year grand examination, meaning it takes 20 years. Even outstanding apprentices at most manage to do it in 15 or 16 years.
According to the information Green Anglet had, the only way Senior Reinhardt could break the historical record was:
Senior Reinhardt published a significant paper related to botanical cultivation.
From this, it was clear that Senior Reinhardt was a research-oriented genius in biology...
Lilith, despite being petty and having a bad temper, also came from a Wizard family.
Her grades were among the top thirty in her year, and she had competed with Oakes in the club, only losing out.
While her looks couldn't compare to Allie's stunning beauty, she was much more attractive than a demure young lady, barely qualifying as a campus belle...
Adler, having heard his description and seeing his sturdy physique.
He was definitely a genius of the Path of the Knight, the kind with extraordinary talent...
An Advanced Knight, wielding a Magic Plant shield, could withstand low-level wizardry and serve as a competent frontline tank for a team.
A Grand Knight, as a peak powerhouse of the Knight's path on the Mist Coast.
Could even don Magic Plant armor, wield Magic Plant weapons, and contend with an Intermediate Wizard Apprentice.
The most top-tier Grand Knights even had records of slaying Advanced Wizard Apprentices, and these were notorious, powerful Black Wizard—Advanced Apprentices.
At Plant Heart Wizard Academy, a Grand Knight was an essential front-liner and shield for all top combat teams...
As it turned out, comparing everyone,
It seemed Green Anglet had no impressive achievements to show off.
He was like a husky that had wandered into a pack of wolves.
However, Green Anglet had no psychological burden or self-reproach...
"I am a man with a Golden Finger. Your achievements being better than mine now won't matter much."
"Later, if you can even catch a whiff of my exhaust, then I lose..."
This confident demeanor made Senior Reinhardt secretly admire him:
"As expected of an apprentice Old Moler values. This level of confidence, I can't even compare..."
