180: Return of glory

“Buzz...”

The silver swirling gate of the Ancient Secret Realm emitted a strange vibration, a sign that a Formal Wizard was emerging.

“They’re coming, they’re coming...”

The many wizards outside the Secret Realm no longer paid attention to the quarrel, and all their attention shifted to the Secret Realm’s gate.

The wizards who had been arguing fiercely also stopped, as they could quarrel later, but the moment to witness history was not to be missed.

Would all three who consumed the fruit of life become Formal Wizards?

Or would one or two fail? These were the questions everyone was concerned about.

“Swish...”

A slender figure emerged. She was wearing a form-fitting green wizard robe, highlighting her curvaceous figure, and her long hair flowed freely behind her head. An undeniable aura of a Formal Wizard emanated from her, and small green whirlwinds encircled her, making her appear like an elf stepping out of the wind.

“It’s Wizard Anna from the Wind’s Whisper Academy!”

“Lady Anna—”

A large group of green-robed figures went to greet her.

“This young lady is capable; her foundation is very solid.”

Wizard Malthus commented:

“Becoming a Formal Wizard at 72 is very good.”

Many Formal Wizards floating in the sky also nodded and offered congratulations to the Wind’s Whisper Academy, acknowledging its successor, and extended their blessings to Wizard Anna, wishing her a promising future on the Grand Dao.

“Buzz buzz buzz...”

The next moment, a second figure appeared.

It was another Formal Wizard, Wizard Robert of the Farlan Spire.

This one was far less impressive. Wizard Robert was over 100 years old, a synonym for ‘old but vigorous,’ and years of accumulation had given him sufficient experience.

After breaking through to become a Formal Wizard, Wizard Robert, whose lifespan had greatly increased, also regained his middle-aged appearance and greeted everyone with a cheerful smile.

Two new Formal Wizards emerged within minutes of each other.

Everyone was also looking forward to Wizard Green bringing enough miracles and appearing soon.

However, after the two Formal Wizards had finished their greetings with friends and family, half an hour had passed.

The spatial vortex gate of the Ancient Secret Realm still showed no sign of movement.

At this point, some people couldn't sit still.

“Haha...”

“I told you, this so-called genius Green is just someone from Heart of Plants, gilding his own lily.”

“A genius wizard under 40, bah! That guy must have failed his breakthrough and is too ashamed to show his face.”

Wizard Wizard Yadisi, based on past experience, immediately thought of a possibility.

“Geniuses aren’t like weeds by the roadside, where you can grab a handful.”

As an old rival and enemy of Heart of Plants, Wizard Wizard Yadisi naturally wouldn't miss this excellent opportunity to mock and strike at his opponent.

The other wizards from Blood Fortress were also greatly encouraged, and various taunts and sarcastic remarks, hinted at by their leader, poured forth continuously.

The people of Heart of Plants were utterly defeated, shattered beyond recovery. After all, the reality was as it was. In the end, everyone could only stop retaliating and silently prayed for Wizard Green’s success.

And the wizards of Blood Fortress, without an opponent, also found it difficult to continue their clamor. The entire grand plaza outside the Secret Realm fell into a strange silence... “Buzz buzz buzz buzz...”

Suddenly, an extremely violent buzzing sound broke the calm that had lasted for over half an hour.

Everyone in the plaza held their breath, waiting for the final outcome.

A magnificent figure finally appeared, enveloped in special Bio-armor, with six thick magical vines circling him, and a translucent, invisible force field forming a spherical protective shield.

He was so magnificent, so imposing, that if it weren't for the conspicuous Formal Wizard's innate wizardry, everyone would have only seen him as a powerful knight.

But at this moment, Wizard Green, with the sunset glow draped behind him and auspicious clouds beneath his feet, walked out of the Secret Realm step by step, giving all the wizards present a very peculiar sense of impact.

For the wizards of Plant Heart Academy, this figure was even more deeply etched in their hearts. After experiencing great joy and sorrow, everyone understood the importance of this magnificent figure even more clearly.

“Ah ah ah ah...”

“Ah, damn it, ah...”

“Hahaha...”

Whether screaming, shouting, or laughing... at this moment, the more than one hundred people from Heart of Plants were completely immersed in a sea of joy...

Then, all the wizards in the entire plaza cheered, celebrating the birth of another new Formal Wizard in Mist Coast, except for the wizards from Blood Fortress.

Wizard Green’s success, so to speak, ascended over the corpses of Blood Fortress, so it would be strange if they were happy. Each of them wore a sour face, as if everyone owed them five million.

Especially Wizard Blood Cat, whose eyes, filled with hatred, were almost spitting fire, and his face hidden behind the Blood Cat mask twisted into a grimace.

“Go—”

“Hurry up, do you still want to stay here and endure humiliation?”

“Go, go, go...”

The remaining 60-odd wizards from Blood Fortress scurried away from a corner of the plaza as if fleeing.

But at this moment in the plaza, no one paid attention to these defeated dogs.

“Green, congratulations on becoming a Formal Wizard and embarking on a new journey in life.”

“Thank you, Teacher Joyce. If it weren't for your dedicated cultivation, and the full support of the academy’s many mentors, I wouldn't have been able to reach this point.”

“Now that I have succeeded, Teacher Joyce, I will ensure that the legacy of Heart of Plants is passed down forever, and I will protect our Heart of Plants, and protect our Wizard Tower.”

... “Haha, Wizard Yadisi, now that Wizard Green has successfully broken through to become a Formal Wizard, what do you say?”

After congratulating him, Wizard Malthus looked at Wizard Yadisi’s ugly face and couldn't help but offer a kind reminder:

“I remember someone made a vow and a bet.”

“Something about if Wizard Green became a Formal Wizard, he would call Wizard Green ‘Grandpa’ or something like that, isn’t that right, Wizard Yadisi?”

The many wizards present all looked at the grim-faced Wizard Wizard Yadisi, including the Formal Wizards. Everyone seemed to have great enthusiasm and interest in this.

But after all, it involved Formal Wizards, and those of insufficient status dared not speak rashly. The scene suddenly fell silent again... “Hmph...”

Wizard Wizard Yadisi felt uncomfortable being stared at by hundreds of eyes. If he didn't have to stay to help seal the entrance to the Ancient Secret Realm, he would have run away the moment Green appeared.

“So what? He’s just a lucky brat.”

“If I call him ‘Grandpa,’ would he dare to accept it?”

Wizard Yadisi had a devil-may-care attitude, fully confident that Wizard Green, having just become a Formal Wizard, lacked the confidence to confront him directly, and thus was completely unconcerned.

From the various mentors of the academy, Green had already understood the whole story, so he turned his gaze to Teacher Joyce.

“Your matters, you should handle them yourself. Now that you’ve become a Formal Wizard, it’s time to be independent.”

Only then did Green feel confident. He smiled and called out to Heart of Plants’ old nemesis:

“Wizard Wizard Yadisi, a man without trust cannot stand. To preserve your academy’s reputation, it’s no harm for you to call me that. Consider it me taking a small loss...”

As soon as these words were uttered, they immediately caused an uproar. Was this young man so brave? Having just become a Formal Wizard, he dared to openly challenge an old senior.

Was he not afraid of causing a great war between the two academies?

Was he not afraid of becoming a mortal enemy with Wizard Wizard Yadisi?

However you looked at it, this did not seem like a choice a rational wizard would make. Was it just for that little bit of so-called dignity and face?

Thus, various looks of confusion, excitement, eagerness, and anticipation of a good show swept back and forth between Wizard Green and Wizard Wizard Yadisi, trying to discern something.

At this moment, the pressure shifted to Wizard Wizard Yadisi. As his silence grew longer, his face became increasingly grim.

“Are you sure, Wizard Green?” came a gritted voice.

“Heh heh, isn’t this for the senior’s reputation? If the senior is willing to bear the reputation of being untrustworthy, then this junior can do nothing to help. What a pity, my kind heart, eager to help others, why does it not receive a benevolent return?”

When it came to being sarcastic, Green was a master.

“Good, good, very good...”

“Grand—pa...”

“Yes—”

Green responded affectionately.

“My good grandson...”

“Ha ha ha...”

“Heh heh heh heh...”

“Jie jie jie...”

“Wah ka ka...”

Immediately, the plaza erupted into a sea of extreme joy. Everyone was very satisfied with this drama, except for a certain injured person.

And this would surely become the headline of Mist Coast for a long time to come, a hot topic widely spread among the people.

Green completely ignored Wizard Wizard Yadisi’s fiery gaze.

He calmly left with a single sentence:

“He who insults others will always be insulted by others.”
