210: Lure the snake out of its hole (Part 3)

"Whoosh, whoosh..."

A brilliant arrow of magic shot out, grand and imposing, drawing upon the elemental fluctuations within a ten-mile radius.

"Wooo, wooo..."

A massive, crimson bat phantom attacked, bringing with it endless terror.

"Hoo, hoo..."

A golden-yellow fireball the size of a carriage wheel illuminated the dark night, making dozens of miles around as bright as day.

"Hiss, hiss..."

A gigantic serpentine creature, like a galloping horse, rapidly charged towards the carriage.

"How dare you!"

A sharp roar exploded to the heavens, its sound carrying for dozens of miles.

The next second, the ambushed carriage burst apart, and an armored figure, surrounded by a green orb of light, soared dozens of meters into the air, like a divine warrior emerging.

"Boom, boom, boom..."

Four attacks pursued the armored figure, and continuous roars echoed in the air. The numerous Wizards below scattered like startled birds, fleeing in all directions and instantly spreading out over hundreds of meters.

"Heh heh..."

"The so-called most united Plant Heart Academy of the Mist Coast is nothing more than this. When disaster strikes, everyone fends for themselves. These White Wizards don't run any slower than Black Wizards."

"Enough! What time is it? Do you still have the mind to care about such trivial matters? Manhattan brothers, didn't you say Wizard Glenn didn't bring his Tier 1 Battle Suit?"

"What's the situation now? Hmm?"

"Don't you think you owe us an explanation?"

The four attackers watched Glenn, completely unharmed under the four extremely powerful Tier 1 Wizardry attacks, their faces twitching slightly.

"It truly lives up to its name as the Tier 1 Biological Steel Battle Suit, a crystallization of the collective wisdom of the entire Mist Coast. It's said this Biological Steel Battle Suit can withstand ten attacks from a Tier 1 Formal Wizard simultaneously without damage. What a treasure."

"What explanation do you want? We are also victims. The prior intelligence showed that this Biological Steel Battle Suit was undergoing maintenance. We don't know what happened."

"Never mind that. It's just a defensive Wizard Tool. At most, it will take a bit more effort. What's there to complain about? Hurry up, kill this Glenn quickly, and let's finish this."

"Damn it, this has gotten serious. The intelligence was inaccurate. This is going to get people killed."

..."Thorn Cage!"

"Thorn Cage!"

Glenn didn't care what these attackers were thinking or what they were cursing.

The moment he encountered the ambush, Glenn knew that the snake he wanted to lure out had appeared, and it was time to cast the net.

So what if a full squad had arrived? He, Glenn, was well-prepared.

Picking the soft targets first, Glenn quickly had a rough idea of these people's identities.

(The Mist Coast Wizarding World is relatively small, and the basic information of those who can become Formal Wizards is generally known. Furthermore, over the past 10 years, Glenn was responsible for receiving Formal Wizards who wished to travel to the Middle-earth Continent Wizard World, and he also handled logistics for two Black Wizard Exterminate operations. He has basically met all the Formal Wizards and even exchanged blows with some of them.)

Two had backgrounds, two did not.

Glenn naturally chose to target the two without backgrounds first.

"Damn Black Wizards, daring to ambush me! Watch me kill you all."

Thus, two pre-stored Tier 1 enemy-trapping Wizardry spells—"Thorn Cage!"—enveloped the caught-off-guard Wizard Laselle and the Blood-colored Bat Wizard.

This wasn't the end; the next moment, it was as if a hornet's nest had been stirred.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."

Countless warning fireworks, like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, consecutively bloomed in the sky. The immense commotion spread along this sky-reaching trade route, continuously reaching miles, dozens of miles, and hundreds of miles away.

"Not good, these guys are sounding the alarm. We need to finish this quickly, or things will change."

"The commotion is too big. I'm afraid they won't be able to hold them off over there. Everyone, don't hold back; use your ultimate moves!"

"Damn it, what are we still fighting for? Hurry up and save us! This Thorn Cage is Joyce's specialty. It requires simultaneous effort from inside and out to break."

The Blood-colored Bat was also a bit panicked at this point. This scene was a bit too familiar; how was it just like over a hundred years ago? How was he trapped in this damned Thorn Cage again? Last time, he paid the price of severe injury to escape, and that was with the strong help of Formal Wizard teammates from the same academy.

Now, with this hastily assembled team, he wondered if they were reliable. For the first time, the Blood-colored Bat regretted it...

"You all hold on. This Thorn Cage is only temporarily trapping you."

"Let's deal with Glenn first. Don't forget our objective."

The two stealthy Formal Wizards of the Manhattan Brotherhood, cloaked in black robes, completely ignored their teammates trapped in the Thorn Cage. They continued to chant spells loudly, brewing their ultimate moves. Earlier, for the ambush, they could only choose the least disruptive sealing Wizardry attacks.

Now that their intentions were clear, the two Formal Wizards naturally chose to cast spells collaboratively, even using secret techniques, to maximize their attack on Glenn, which therefore required an exceptionally long preparation time.

"Damn you, grandpas! Is this how you treat your teammates? Don't forget, we made a Heavenly Oath!"

"You two bastards, scrambled eggs, black-hearted devils with eggs broken in half! If you don't come to save me, you'll be violating the Heavenly Oath. Just you wait; when the power of the oath takes effect and you suffer the scorn of fate, your end will be even more miserable than ours!"

If Wizard Laselle still didn't realize he had been set up at this point, he truly would have lived these few hundred years in vain.

Wizard Glenn of the Plant Heart Academy inherited Joyce's cunning, setting a trap to lure them in.

These White Wizard teammates were also well aware, merely using him as cannon fodder to exhaust Wizard Glenn's trump cards.

Oh well, everyone's acting, both human and ghost, and I'm the only one getting hurt?!

Wizard Laselle watched the giant Hexagram Wizard Array gradually lighting up on the ground, and felt the elemental power in the air becoming increasingly difficult to mobilize.

"Heavenly Demon Sealing Array!"

"Heavens, do you have to play with me like this!"

..."Hahaha, it's time for the harvest."

"Black Wizards, your doomsday has arrived!"

Wizard Glenn activated the guardian Wizard Array of his Biological Steel Battle Suit and his innate Wizardry—the Heart of Plants Guardian Field. Under this dual defense, the attacks from the other side were merely tickling him.

Glenn only needed to focus on attacking.

"Feel the gale!"
