122: Green's Clever Plan (Part 2)

One day later.

After brief preparations, the first step of Green's plan began:

— First, give the Corrosion Poison Rong a bath.

Dozens of wizards, guided by the prepared Wizard Array, simultaneously cast the low-level wizardry, "Magic Rain Gathering Technique."

As an introductory wizardry of Plant Heart Wizard Academy, no Wizard Apprentice was unfamiliar with it.

"Heed the call of the elements... Magic Water vapor, gather..."

Under the guidance and amplification of the Wizard Array, a large mass of dark clouds quickly gathered, and the water vapor from tens of miles around rapidly converged.

"Pitter-patter..."

A torrential downpour began over the several hundred meters where the Corrosion Poison Rong were gathered.

Due to the unique tropical rainforest climate of the Mist Forest, the water vapor in the forest was exceptionally abundant.

This rain lasted an exceptionally long time, a full two hours of heavy downpour.

The massive rainfall directly transformed the small swamp where the Corrosion Poison Rong gathered into a large pond.

Since the roadbeds for road construction are always higher than their surroundings, most of this abundant rainfall would flow to lower-lying areas, incidentally washing away some debris from the ground.

The Corrosion Poison Rong, each massive in size and astonishingly heavy, were unaffected; instead, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the heavy rain,

rolling... frolicking... playing..., allowing the heavy rain to thoroughly drench every part of their bodies.

They completely disregarded the mud and various residues washed away by the flowing water, not caring at all.

The originally flat and compacted gravel road was also churned into numerous puddles by the Corrosion Poison Rong... The White Wizards' commotion had long since alerted the Black Wizards in the shadows.

Looking at the group of low- and mid-level White Wizards sitting in place, meditating to recover their Spiritual Power, and then at the dozen identical burly armored figures guarding them.

A hundred meters away, on a central branch of a giant rainforest black pine tree,

two red-eyed crows perched.

They stared intently at the White Wizards.

After a long while, the red-eyed crow on the left spoke:

"Hey, Blood Cat."

"You know our old opponents best. Do you know what they're doing?"

...The red-eyed crow on the right casually remarked:

"These wizards from the Heart of Plants, have they gone crazy from farming?"

"They actually think they can wash away the egg fluid you buried with rainwater, that's hilarious."

"Blood Shark, how deep did you bury it?"

"So that's their plan. This is a bit too disrespectful to us Black Wizards, isn't it?"

"Do they really think all us Black Wizards are idiots who took shortcuts and fried our brains?"

"Hehe..."

"We only mixed one-third of the egg fluid with mud and scattered it on the road surface. The remaining two-thirds were all buried at a depth of more than five meters underground."

"Unless they can dig three feet deep, it won't be easy to wash away the egg fluid with just rainwater."

"But we can't let our guard down. Who knows what they're planning?"

"Wizards never do irrational things, nor do they do meaningless things."

"Just watch."

"See what other tricks they have up their sleeves."

The two red-eyed crows fell silent again, appearing like two ordinary crows, but their eerie red eyes occasionally flickered with brilliance, revealing their extraordinary nature... Two hours later.

The more than eighty White Wizards who had cast the spell together had all recovered.

At this moment,

two large birds, resembling wild geese, flew out from the White Wizards' location, each carrying a large package in its talons.

They flew to the area where the Corrosion Poison Rong were entrenched and released their packages... Instantly,

a flurry of leaf-shaped seeds drifted down.

Another gust of wind blew, scattering these seeds evenly into every corner where the Corrosion Poison Rong were entrenched.

The Corrosion Poison Rong paid no attention to these light seeds; some even swallowed them to taste what they were like... After a while,

once these special seeds were all distributed,

Green's second step began:

— Give the Corrosion Poison Rong an extra meal!

The joint spell-casting group began to cast another plant-based wizardry—the Seed Germination Technique.

"Heed the call of the elements,... wondrous seeds, awaken..."

A green magical clear light enveloped the area of several hundred meters, lasting for over three minutes.

Before long, countless seeds began to sprout thin rootlets.

This was a peculiar plant called "Water Root," often growing in various bodies of water and swamps. It was an ordinary plant, not a Demonized Plants.

Its peculiarity lay in its extremely developed roots, which could penetrate tens of meters deep and grow very quickly with sufficient water.

It could grow from a seed into roots over three meters long within a single day. Ninety percent of its main body consisted of roots, with only a small section of aerial roots exposed above the water.

Because "Water Root" is widely distributed, abundant in quantity, and has good nutritional value, it is one of the favorite food sources for many swamp and aquatic creatures, including the Corrosion Poison Rong... Green's idea was—

To utilize the characteristics of "Water Root" to absorb the nutritional components of the egg fluid buried deep in the mud.

The joint spell-casting group then began to cast a new type of plant-based wizardry—

Plant Growth Technique.

"Heed the call of the elements,... wondrous plants, grow quickly..."

Wave after wave of green magical light showered down upon these seeds.

Immediately,

the "Water Root," which had just sprouted a thin rootlet, grew rapidly as if it had consumed some magical fertilizer.

10 centimeters, 20 centimeters, 40 centimeters, 1 meter... Gradually, the entire area was filled with Water Root, and the dense roots tightly entangled the Corrosion Poison Rong nestled in the puddles.

But these Corrosion Poison Rong paid no mind; these roots were merely their food, fragile enough to be easily broken with a struggle.

The Corrosion Poison Rong completely ignored the wildly growing Water Root; some, hungry, even began to relish the feast delivered right to them.

The joint spell-casting group continued to maintain the power of the Plant Growth wizardry, as wave after wave of magical light showered down upon these Water Root.

The water in the various puddles rapidly decreased, and soon, some shallow puddles dried up... "Not good!"

The red-eyed crow exclaimed.
