134: Death Struggle (Part 2)
“Burning Potion, three bottles at once, fire.”
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…”
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…”
Hundreds of potion bottles filled with red liquid were thrown down with great force by the Knights.
At this point, this third wave of White Bone Behemoths was also expected to be the last.
Under the cover of the previous wave's self-destruction, they had already passed through the abatis array and arrived in front of the flame array.
A mere 20 meters, coupled with an excellent vantage point from above.
Hundreds of bottles of Intermediate Burning Potion, each with an Intensity of 5 * 5 = 25 degrees, were accurately thrown onto every White Bone Behemoth, with each beast basically hit by 7 or 8 burning potions.
The Black Wizards had no chance to react at all; it wasn't until raging flames ignited on the White Bone Behemoths that the Black Wizards finally reacted.
Flashes of red, black, and gray magical light lit up on the White Bone Behemoths.
Constantly resisting the erosion of the flames... but the strength of the Black Wizards also varied.
Soon, in less than three seconds, more than a dozen White Bone Behemoths had their skeletons destroyed by the burning flames, directly falling apart.
Five seconds later, another seven or eight White Bone Behemoths could not withstand the Intensity of the burning and fell apart; this time, however, seven or eight Wizards in black robes tumbled out from between the chests and abdomens of the White Bone Behemoths.
They turned into fire people, scurrying around in the flame array, wailing incessantly, chanting various spells, and employing various methods, trying to extinguish the flames on their bodies.
Unfortunately, it was all in vain, and these active fiery figures quickly fell silent.
At this moment on the battlefield.
Only 10 White Bone Behemoths remained, having withstood this wave of burning potions without falling.
They were also preparing to advance again... but how could Gelin let them have their way?
“Intermediate Wizardry, pinpoint sniping, fire!”
With a wave of Gelin's hand, over a hundred Intermediate Wizard Apprentices immediately cast the Intermediate Wizardry they had long prepared:
“Thorn Entanglement…”
“Giant Wooden Spikes…”
“Exploding Fireball…”
“Flame Impact…”
“Giant Wind Blade…”
“Wizard's Grand Seal…”
...More than a dozen types of Intermediate Wizardry, with varying power, different Intensities, and diverse effects, were all hurled towards the heads of the White Bone Behemoths.
The Intensity ranged from the lowest 5 * 5 = 25 degrees to 5 * 8 * 1.5 = 60 degrees, covering all bases.
Each White Bone Behemoth received equal treatment, with an average of 10 attacks per beast.
At this, the Black Wizards within the White Bone Behemoths couldn't sit still; if they were hit by this torrent of Wizardry, they would instantly turn to ashes.
Immediately, intense magical fluctuations erupted from the bodies of these 10 White Bone Behemoths.
The Black Wizards began to pull out their trump cards.
Shadow Tentacles, Corrosive Fireballs, Black Wind Blades, Blood Crows, Energy Orbs, Blood Shields, Shadow Winds, Dark Hands... at least all were powerful Intermediate Wizardry with an Intensity of 60 degrees, and more than half were Advanced Wizardry with an Intensity of 70 degrees, actively meeting the hundreds of Wizardry attacks from the White Wizards.
At the same time, various magical item activation lights lit up on the White Bone Behemoths' bodies; all were life-saving tools similar to Rings of Protection...
“Haha…”
Gelin laughed happily.
“These remaining ones are all big fish.”
Although these White Bone Behemoths were all breaking through in one direction, directly towards Gelin, he was not worried in the slightest.
“My Triple-Layered Armor life-saving spell is not that easy to break.”
Gelin said to the other two peak combatants and three Advanced Wizard Apprentices who had gathered:
“Fellow mentors, these are all beings above Advanced Wizard Apprentice.”
“After this wave of Wizardry attacks, I estimate not many will be left.”
“At that time, you all should first cast Advanced Wizardry attacks to impede them, and our Grand Knights in the front will withstand their charge.”
“As long as they don't abandon the White Bone Behemoths, they won't be able to escape.”
“Let's give them a good beating while they're down.”
“Haha…”
“Gelin, you are truly amazing…”
“A formidable young man…”
“Hmm… folks, let's keep all these Black Wizards here…”
...“Ah…”
At this moment.
Three White Bone Behemoths, burning with white, chilling bone flames, rushed out of the Wizardry torrent, ignoring the scorching of the flame array, and in three steps, they charged to the front of the third defensive line.
This was a five-meter-high earth-and-wood structure city wall, plus the three-meter depth of the flame pit itself.
In other words, the White Bone Behemoths had to look up at an eight-meter-high city wall.
The three White Bone Behemoths would not be so foolish as to directly ram into it, to test if it was a shoddy construction.
Upon reaching the city wall, the three White Bone Behemoths simultaneously exerted force with all six legs, attempting to use the momentum to directly leap over this high wall.
But unexpectedly.
“Boom…”
A colossal, earth-shattering sound came.
The three White Bone Behemoths all fell into a giant pit.
A full eight meters deep!
...It turned out.
When building the third defensive line, Gelin had thought that five meters was too short; building a 10-meter or even 15-meter-high city wall would be necessary to curb the Black Wizards' leaps.
Otherwise, the city wall would be useless.
However, the other mentors vetoed this plan, the reason being—
The engineering workload was too great, and it couldn't be completed in one or two months.
Therefore.
Gelin found another way; since building this city wall required digging earth, why not source materials on-site and dig a huge pit?
I can't build a 10-meter or 15-meter-high city wall above ground, but adding the underground part should count, right?
This led to the creation of a five-meter-wide, eight-meter-deep giant pit surrounding the city wall.
No matter which direction the Black Wizards tried to break through, as long as they wanted to use the power of the White Bone Behemoths to leap over the five-meter-high wall on the ground, they would inevitably fall into the giant pit Gelin had meticulously designed...
“Haha…”
“Time to beat them while they're down!”
A full two Exploding Fireballs and four Giant Wooden Spikes, all with an Intensity of 70 degrees, landed directly on the three bone-flame White Bone Behemoths, utterly blasting them into dust…
One red, one black, one yellow.
Three figures emitting intense magical light escaped before the White Bone Behemoths were destroyed.
And began to scatter and flee along the deep pit.
“Everyone, pursue separately! Don't let any of the cornered dogs escape.”
No sooner had Gelin finished speaking than a swift yellow figure suddenly made a turn; originally heading right, it reversed its direction and climbed straight up, charging towards Gelin.
“Excellent!”
