215: A Century of Peace (II)

"Ah!"

"Green Anglet!"

"Crack!"

The sound of something shattering rang out abruptly, then vanished just as suddenly.

In a dark chamber within the Blood Fortress Academy, Wizard Yadisi sat bitterly upon his Blood Throne, his face still lingering with residual anger. He looked like a maddened lion, searching for a target to vent his rage upon.

Kneeling below him were the group of Wizard Apprentices who had originally entered the Ancient Elf Secret Realm, including Blood Cat Wizard.

It was unclear how many times they had been summoned by this Formal Wizard to vent his anger. Everyone was well-practiced in remaining silent, acting like quails, not daring to stand out in the slightest, fearing they would be noticed by Wizard Yadisi and singled out for questioning.

But some people were destined not to escape.

Blood Cat Wizard Moshat was the unlucky scapegoat, repeatedly dragged out to be whipped for his failures.

"Moshat, tell me, why didn't you kill Green Anglet in the Ancient Elf Secret Realm? Instead, you let him become a Formal Wizard? Huh?"

"If you had finished him off earlier, there wouldn't be so many problems now."

"I do not know, Lord Yadisi."

Blood Cat Wizard Moshat said honestly:

"We did our best. Our brothers suffered heavy casualties, all caused by Green Anglet. We were also extremely eager to kill Green Anglet before he could become a Formal Wizard, but a place like the Secret Realm is chaotic. Our academy's wizards were restricted by the terrain, and our strength was greatly reduced, so..."

"So you all became stepping stones for that Green Anglet, and our Blood Fortress also became a stepping stone for Heart of Plants, right?"

"This subordinate is useless. This subordinate deserves death. Please punish me, my Lord."

"Please punish us, my Lord." The group echoed in unison.

"Hmph..."

"You bunch, why didn't you just die in the Secret Realm back then? What's the use of coming here to seek death now? Can you harm a single hair on Green Anglet? Can you help the academy rise again?"

"Useless trash! You can only watch helplessly as Heart of Plants Academy develops better and better. In the future, they will ride on your heads and shit and piss, and they will ride on your disciples and descendants, acting arrogantly. Our Blood Fortress... we won't be able to turn things around for hundreds of years!"

As Wizard Yadisi spoke, he suddenly became disheartened.

"Forget it. At this point, there's no use saying anything."

"Our academy's ancestor has left, gone to the Middle-earth Continent Wizard World. My uncle who left has also died, killed at the hands of Green Anglet. Now, in the entire Blood Fortress Wizard Academy, I am the only Formal Wizard left. I cannot afford any more trouble..."

"Pass on my order: from now on, all Wizard Apprentices of Blood Fortress, upon seeing Wizard Apprentices from Heart of Plants Academy, must retreat and avoid them. Do not offend them."

"Pass on my order: Moshat, you are responsible for selling off some academy resources, gathering 3,000 Magic Crystals. Take these crystals and go apologize to Heart of Plants Academy."

"Pass on my order: Notify all Wizard Academies in the Seven Towers Alliance. Starting today, I, Wizard Yadisi, will go into seclusion for a hundred years. I will not step a single step out of Blood Fortress Wizard Academy within these hundred years. All invitations and exchange meetings are to be rejected."

"As you command, Lord Yadisi."

Radiant Fire Academy. A certain conference room.

Two wizards with obscured faces were communicating. However, from the power they inadvertently radiated, it was clear that both were Formal Wizards.

"Heh, I didn't expect that so-called Bio-Steel Battle Suit to actually have some substance. We miscalculated this time; we didn't land a fatal blow. We can only blame those idiots; with only 6 people, they still split into two groups. If they had concentrated their power, how could they have been picked off one by one by Green Anglet?"

"Hmph... Next time, I wonder if that Green Anglet will still have such good luck."

"Stop now. Don't mess with that person from Heart of Plants."

"The results of the test are out. Lord Joyce left too many trump cards for Heart of Plants Academy. Just one Bio-Steel Battle Suit would require an unknown number of Formal Wizards to exhaust; it's simply not worth it."

"Hmph, it wasn't our resources that contributed to that? Otherwise, how could that Bio-Steel Battle Suit have been built so quickly and made so powerful? It's a pity about the Magic Adamantine our academy contributed. The seniors of our academy disregarded everything for their own future. This is aiding the enemy!"

"What can be done? If it were you, wouldn't you do the same? Heh, I believe you would definitely go even further. If a man is not for himself, heaven and earth will kill him. Compared to one's own future, what is a little bit of aiding the enemy?"

"Bullshit!"

"I wouldn't do such a thing that harms future generations! Look at Heart of Plants Academy. With this set of Bio-Steel Battle Suit, ordinary four or five Formal Wizards can't even kill that Green Anglet. That Green Anglet has truly made a name for himself. From now on, who dares to provoke him in the Mist Coast? In the future, the southern region of the Mist Coast will truly be under the control of Heart of Plants Academy."

"So what? Isn't it just two powers standing together? It's not like our academy hasn't experienced that before."

"Haha, this is only temporary. The current prosperity is just passing smoke. Without a solid foundation, even the most powerful Wizard Academy will decline over time. Why is it that only our Radiant Fire Academy can stand at the peak for thousands of years in the entire Mist Coast? It's because we have a small resource Secret Realm."

"A mere Bio-Steel Battle Suit is just a complex, powerful Wizard Artifact. As long as we want to, our academy can also build one. At the next routine academy meeting, we will propose building a Bio-Steel Battle Suit. The seniors of the academy still knew their limits; they left us plenty of research knowledge and manufacturing data on Bio-armor. As long as the materials are complete, our Radiant Fire Academy can add another treasure to guard the academy."

"Good, I absolutely support this proposal."

"But are we really going to let that Green Anglet go? He is already so powerful now. After another hundred or eighty years, I'm afraid that Green Anglet will become a new Lord Joyce."

"Isn't that better? If you can't beat them, join them. When that Green Anglet becomes a Tier 2 High-level Wizard, we can also hitch a ride with him to the Middle-earth Continent to explore."

"Sigh, that's a good idea. Since we can't suppress him anymore, then so be it. I will give the order that for the next hundred years, Radiant Fire Academy and Heart of Plants Academy will maintain the highest level of friendly relations and be good friends with them."

"As for after 100 years, we'll see what happens then."

In the dark chamber, after the two figures reached an agreement, they disappeared immediately.

The dark chamber returned to calm, as if nothing had happened, but it also seemed to have witnessed something.
