225: Extra Apology Post

To all the readers and friends who have been following this book, I apologize.

The author has disappointed you.

I am truly sorry for abruptly ending it when Glynn was at the Fourth Rank.

This is my first book, and I once had high hopes for it, wishing it could grow smoothly and reach over 1 million characters. I had prepared the outline and detailed plot, but fate had other plans.

The book has reached a new turning point, 500,000 characters, but the results are still very dismal.

Here, I'd like to report the book's performance to friends who like it.

When it first debuted at 100,000 characters, this book, “White Wizard: Hundredfold Harvest for Effort,” was at its peak. On the second day of its debut, it received over 10,000 recommendations, and its daily income surpassed a hundred. I thought my book was about to take off, and I was very happy for those few days.

It turns out I was happy too soon.

Wuwu… it really was peak at debut, and then it kept failing.

The traffic from Tomato decreased from 10,000, to 5,000, to 1,000, to 300, all the way down.

Daily income went from several tens (only for the 7-8 days of its debut) to 5 or 6 yuan per day (for two consecutive months). It failed so badly that it couldn't even earn back enough for three meals a day.

No matter how much I increased the word count for updates—100,000, 200,000, 300,000, 400,000—Tomato never gave me traffic (crying in the bathroom, wuwu…).

I was also very conflicted. I once swore that my first book would reach one million characters.

However, as a full-time novice, I also need to eat, so I was harshly slapped in the face by reality.

In days without hope, I couldn't hold on and ultimately fell halfway.

This book will be cut at 500,000 characters… I also poured my heart and soul into this book.

I remember the excitement of first reading the web novel “Battle Through the Heavens” in 2013, and I was also engrossed in I Eat Tomatoes’ “Desolate Era.” I was even more shocked by the daily 10,000-character updates of “Global Martial Arts.” All along, my connection with web novels has grown deeper.

Coincidentally, I lost my job this year, so I had the idea of writing web novels, following in the footsteps of the great authors in my heart, and writing down the world in my mind.

Wizard-style novels are a type the author particularly enjoys. I have read masterpieces such as “Wizard World,” “Era of the Wizard World,” and “Journey of the Wizard,” all of which featured Black Wizards, with White Wizards being relatively few. So, I thought of writing a White Wizard story.

And so, I plunged headfirst into Tomato Novel, without internal submission, publishing directly. I signed a contract at 20,000 characters, got a recommendation at 30,000, debuted at 80,000, and blindly pushed all the way until now… Perhaps my writing is not good enough;

Perhaps my ideas are not unique enough;

Perhaps my plot is too bland;

It really goes with the saying, 'writing is like looking at mountains, one dislikes flatness.' I also feel that my writing is very uneventful, leaning towards daily life and being verbose, with not enough exciting points… But this is the White Wizard World of my dreams, living cautiously, studying with classmates and friends, exploring the mysteries of knowledge together, and there will also be battles and struggles, but absolutely no counterattacks or face-slapping, only absolute suppression (steadiness first).

Alright, I'll stop rambling here, friends. My journey in web novels will not end here.

I learn from my mistakes; I am exploring, and I am growing.

I hope next time, I can present better works to everyone.
