3: Friends of the White Witch World

"Whew..."

Greene let out a long breath.

A beaming smile spread across his face; it really wasn't easy.

Thankfully, thankfully, his life was saved.

There were still eight months left, plenty of time for studying.

He had successfully mastered one Wizardry, and the other wouldn't be far behind.

Through his recent insights, Greene discovered that Hundredfold Harvest also had a hidden benefit.

Previously, Greene had cast Seed Germination Technique no less than a thousand times over three days and nights of frantic spellcasting.

Yet, he had been stuck at the bottleneck of segmented spellcasting... perhaps.

The previous Greene had wanted to break through this bottleneck by casting a large number of spells in a short time, a method taught to him by his Wizardry Practical instructor.

But unfortunately,

Greene's talent in Wizardry casting was insufficient to support this breakthrough.

At least three days and nights weren't enough.

However, the Golden Finger of Hundredfold Harvest made Greene feel as if he had cast a hundred spells in an instant.

It was this accumulated experience and inspiration that allowed Greene to break through the bottleneck of segmented spellcasting in one go.

Therefore, the Golden Finger of Hundredfold Harvest not only helped Greene to be more diligent but also helped him quickly break through certain experience-based bottlenecks.

"Haha..."

"This powerful Golden Finger is good..."

"Although it's not a system, not an old man, nor a chip, having a powerful talent like this is still good..."

"I'm not picky; as long as I have something to eat, I can support myself..."

"Thank you, Mother Aqua Blue Star, for your good luck and blessings..."

"Thank you, Lord Scales of Truth, for sending this Golden Finger..."

"Woohoo, taking off..."

After Greene finished experimenting with the basic effects of his soul talent, Hundredfold Harvest,

He was very satisfied:

"Isn't this the wing designed specifically for me, the 'King of Diligence'?"

The purpose of his seclusion had been achieved in a roundabout way.

His growling stomach reminded Greene that it was time to eat.

Greene subconsciously picked up the glass bottle of potion placed nearby, opened the stopper, and saw that about one-fifth of its contents remained. Then, he curiously leaned in to smell it.

"Ugh..."

A pungent odor assailed his nostrils.

It was like the smell of rotten durian, so strong that Greene almost threw up.

Greene then remembered that this was a low-level Satiety Potion he had bought for one Magic Stone.

It contained black hemp resin; although its satiating effect was excellent, lasting three days per bottle, the smell was truly awful.

Greene quickly re-stoppered the bottle.

"Forget it..."

"Whoever wants to drink this stuff can drink it. I'm going out for a feast."

Greene opened the stone door of the meditation room, bent down, picked up the large flowerpot, and walked out.

The meditation room was located in the innermost part of the first floor, built with gray limestone and inscribed with a Guardian Wizard Array. Its safety and protection were the strongest on the entire first floor, while other areas were only built with wood.

From memory, Greene knew that

This building was located in the low-level Apprentice residential area of the inner ring six district of the Heart of Plants Wizard Tower. It had four floors, with one Wizard Apprentice living on each floor. Greene lived on the first floor.

Greene placed the large flowerpot in the plant care area near the window and couldn't help but survey the layout of the entire first floor, which he estimated to be around 120 square meters.

There was a living room, a washroom, a study room, a laboratory, a meditation room, a plant care room, and a small reception room with a coffee table and two small sofas.

It was small but complete, though it seemed to lack a kitchen.

Greene recalled that Apprentices usually ate in the cafeteria on the north side of the first floor of the Wizard Tower and rarely cooked for themselves, probably why no kitchen was planned... He opened the main door of the first floor.

Greene stood at the entrance and took a deep breath.

The air, filled with the fresh scent of earth and plants, was exceptionally refreshing. In front of him, various Demonized Plantss swayed gracefully with the gentle breeze, creating a vibrant green scene that was exhilarating.

This was a brand new magical world... "Hey, Greene, you're finally out of seclusion! How was it? Did you break through?"

"Ally came out a day earlier than you and has already broken through to Instantaneous Spellcasting!"

At this moment,

a male Wizard Apprentice with a full head of golden hair leaned out of a second-floor window and loudly greeted Greene.

Greene looked up and recognized Oakes, who lived on the second floor. Greene and he had been classmates and neighbors for nine years and had a very good relationship.

Oakes, from a Motlan Grand Kingdom noble family, possessed a third-grade Wizard aptitude.

He had completed all course assessment requirements for the second five-year grand examination and was in Class 3 with Greene, living in Building 2, Inner Ring Six District.

He was one of Greene's Iron Triangle.

Greene smiled and replied,

"By the Scales of Truth, I have also successfully broken through."

"Oakes, how about we go to the Beef Burger Shack to celebrate?"

"Greene, you're too inconsiderate!"

"Such important good news, why wouldn't you invite me to the Rose House for a drink?"

Oakes complained with a grin, shaking his golden hair.

"Sigh..."

"You know me."

"For this breakthrough, I spent Magic Stones to ask a Mentor for private guidance and Magic Stones to buy awakening potions as an aid. I'm completely broke, so how could I have Magic Stones to treat you to a drink?"

Greene said helplessly.

"Alright, alright, you pauper, stop complaining to me."

"Are we going now, or waiting for Ally?"

"She went to Mentor Serena's potion laboratory to work today; she probably won't be back for another two hours."

Oakes asked, giving Greene a mischievous wink, knowing Greene had always been interested in Ally.

"Forget it, I'll starve to death waiting two hours."

"Let's go now. We'll go find Bigg. Do you know where he is right now?" Greene pretended not to notice Oakes' winking.

"Him? He should still be practicing Wizardry in his shack. I just greeted him at noon," Oakes said after thinking for a moment.

"Alright then, let's go, Young Master Oakes." Greene joked with Oakes as usual...

The two went together and first called Bigg at Building 3, Inner Ring Five District.

Bigg, from a Motlan Grand Kingdom knight's family, possessed a fourth-grade Wizard aptitude.

He still needed to pass one Wizardry assessment, was in Class 3 with Greene, and lived in Building 3, Inner Ring Five District.

He was also one of Greene's Iron Triangle.

The three went together to eat the free buffet at the restaurant on the north side of the first floor of the Wizard Tower, which was divided into two areas:

one was free,

and one was charged.

As Greene was at the very bottom of the entire Plant Heart Wizard Academy and had no family support, his meager monthly income of one Magic Stone naturally meant he couldn't afford the charged area.

Therefore,

Greene's meals were usually taken in the free area provided as a Wizard Tower benefit, and the Beef Burger Shack was Greene and his friends' preferred spot for gatherings...
