213: Lure the snake out of its hole (VI)

"By the way, Wizard Green!"

The Black Robe Wizard Laselle immediately removed the disguise on his body, revealing his true face.

"I am the Guardian Wizard of the Motlan Grand Kingdom—Laselle!"

"Lord Green, you can trust me. I was originally heading to the capital of the Motlan Grand Kingdom to attend the birthday banquet, but I was deceived by this group of Black Wizards halfway. They said the infamous Black Wizard—'Blood Bone King'—would pass through this road to the capital of the Motlan Grand Kingdom to plot a conspiracy..."

"So, in order to strike first, we ambushed you. I truly didn't know it was you beforehand. If I had known these two Black Wizards were targeting you, I definitely wouldn't have come."

"Heh..."

"Do you think I would believe that?"

Wizard Green mocked coldly:

"It must have been hard for you, Wizard Laselle, to make up a lie in just a few seconds. Do you really take me for a fool?"

"Sigh, Lord Green, please believe me. I really am not lying. If you don't believe me, let me out, and I can immediately swear a Destiny Oath to help you deal with these two Black Wizards."

"Really, I, Laselle, have roamed the Mist Coast for hundreds of years, and everyone is willing to be friends with me because I have upheld the principle of honesty and trustworthiness for centuries."

...

"Haha..."

"Laselle, you two-faced villain! You still have the nerve to brag here!"

"As soon as our Destiny Oath ended, you couldn't wait to throw yourself into the enemy's camp. We really underestimated you."

The two Formal Wizards from the Manhattan Brotherhood couldn't help but sneer. This was a critical moment for their joint spellcasting; they couldn't let these two join forces, otherwise, they would be the ones at a disadvantage.

"Wizard Green, let's speak plainly. My brother and I came from another wizarding world, originally intending to make a quick profit and leave. And look, this Lord Laselle recommended your Plant Heart Academy. He said your Plant Heart Academy is overflowing with wealth."

"That's right, my big brother is right. We are just here for money. Lord Green, we have witnessed your strength. Honestly, there's no need for us to suffer mutual destruction, as long as you can think highly of us two brothers."

"10,000 Magic Crystals, or an equivalent amount of Energy Crystals."

"As long as you agree to pay, we two brothers will stop immediately, fly far away, and no longer target your Plant Heart Academy. How about it?"

...

Wizard Laselle was a bit bewildered. What was going on? Why were they learning to compromise like me?

They were so arrogant before. Weren't these two guys supposed to be quite capable? They claimed their joint spellcasting power could reach the strength of a Tier 2 Spell and that killing Green would be effortless.

Now that they've encountered a difficulty, they're wilting faster than me?

"Lord Green, don't listen to their nonsense. They don't even dare to reveal their true faces, which shows they are up to no good. You must not fall for their tricks."

"Lord Green, five years ago, I even visited Lord Joyce and you at the Plant Heart Academy. We have met before. I am the real Wizard Laselle. You have to believe me..."

"Heh heh heh..."

"Wizard Green, is it? You shouldn't trust the wrong person. This Wizard Laselle kept saying he wanted to conquer your Plant Heart Academy and wanted that female Formal Wizard from the Plant Heart Academy to bear his offspring. That arrogance, I have recorded it all with a Light and Shadow Ball..."

"Heh heh, how about it? As long as you accept our conditions, we can even help you kill this Wizard Laselle. The service fee is only 1,000 Magic Crystals."

"Ah, I am wronged! I, Laselle, have absolutely never said such things. This is slander! These Black Wizards only know how to sow discord and talk nonsense. Lord Green, you must not believe them..."

...

Wrapped in heavy armor, Green remained coldly motionless.

He continued to strike Wizard Laselle with one sword attack after another, wearing down his protective light barrier, but no one noticed that Wizard Green's eyes had grown even colder.

"Joint Secret Technique—Crimson Dark Fireball, quick!"

"Boom..."

A massive fireball suddenly took shape. After being energized by the elements drawn from dozens of miles around for a long time, this giant fireball emitted an extremely dangerous aura.

As soon as it appeared, it was guided by the two Black Robe Wizards with their Spiritual Power and blasted towards Green.

On the battlefield, strength is what determines the outcome!

"Haha..."

"Green, you're dead!"

Fire-type magic, as the magic that most counters the Plant type, has effects that cannot be compared to ordinary magic. This giant fireball was prepared specifically for Wizard Green.

If Wizard Green hadn't been wearing his Bio-Steel Battle Suit, relying only on his innate magic defense and some miscellaneous defensive measures, he certainly wouldn't have been able to defend against this big fireball; severe injury or even being taken out in one hit was possible.

Even with Wizard Green wearing the Bio-Steel Battle Suit and having dual powerful defenses, if he were to confront this big fireball head-on, Wizard Green's life could certainly be saved, but the big fireball, which reached the power of a Tier 2 Spell, would definitely destroy the Bio-Steel Battle Suit.

...

However, would things really go as calculated?

Wizard Green was unhurried, as if he had expected it long ago. With an extreme blink, the second before the big fireball reached him, he appeared behind the Thorn Cage.

"Boom, boom..." The massive Crimson Dark Fireball, carrying unparalleled power, crashed straight into the Thorn Cage, breaking through this Thorn Cage with irresistible force.

Then, it slammed unceremoniously into the protective light barrier of the dumbfounded Wizard Laselle. Here, the damaged Guardian Ring shone brightly, directly draining 20 years of Wizard Laselle's lifespan to form a sturdy magical protective light barrier, three inches thick.

After the Crimson Dark Fireball could not advance further, it exploded directly. For fireball-type magic, the explosion is when the power is at its greatest.

"Boom, boom, boom..." Inside the Thorn Cage, a heaven-shaking explosion erupted. In less than two seconds, the sturdy Thorn Cage turned into dust.

Then, a charred figure was thrown out, falling straight towards the ground.

"Swish, swish, swish..." Stunning cross-shaped sword rays flashed by. The charred figure was sliced into dozens of pieces, flying everywhere like confused butterflies.

Wizard Green turned around coldly and sneered aloud:

"You two, do you still want to fight?"
