134: No, you are lonely because you are invincible.

"Sister Nan, what you're saying makes it sound like we simply can't survive." Mao Xin's heart went cold; the tiny spark of hope that had just been ignited was instantly extinguished.

"What are you thinking? In the Apocalypse, everyone is just living one day at a time." Si Nan found it amusing.

Luo Sen immediately shot Mao Xin a chilling glare. "It's already good enough that you're alive right now. What more do you want?"

"Nothing, haha, I'm going, I'm going." Terrified, Mao Xin turned around and ran off.

"He needs a lesson." Luo Sen curled his lips coldly.

Mao Xin, who had run off, nearly tripped and fell upon hearing those words.

However, Si Nan's attention was on Luo Sen's hand, and she was currently staring at him intently and calmly.

Luo Sen turned around and met her dark, beautiful eyes. "What's wrong? What's wrong with my hand that you're looking at it so intently?"

Si Nan asked him, "Can you also manipulate objects from a distance?"

Luo Sen casually controlled a branch on the ground and held it horizontally between them. "Oh, you mean this. I've been able to do it for a while, ever since I got this power. I don't know the specifics."

He spoke nonchalantly, looking as if he didn't care at all, with an expression that said, 'If I have it, I have it; it's no big deal.'

Si Nan crossed her arms and looked at him sideways with a deadpan expression. "Luo Sen, aren't you lonely?"

"Lonely? Why would I be lonely with you?" Luo Sen didn't react for a moment.

Si Nan gritted her teeth. "No, you're lonely because you're invincible. How lonely it is to be invincible. Goodbye." She turned and walked away quickly in annoyance.

Luo Sen: "..."

He laughed behind her. "Hahaha, now that you mention it, yeah, it is pretty lonely. I can't even find an opponent."

A sentence floated back from ahead: "Starting tonight, you're sleeping downstairs."

*Crack.* Luo Sen's heart felt as cold as if it had been sliced in two. The next moment, he quickly used his long legs to catch up to Si Nan, coaxing her in a soft tone, "Lonely, if you say I'm lonely, then I'm lonely. Nan Nan, don't be angry. How about you hit me?"

Si Nan raised her hand.

"You can't bring yourself to do it."

"Me?"

Si Nan raised her hand again.

"See, you just can't bear to. Your hand is frozen in mid-air. It's so cold, let Sen Sen warm it for you." A certain shameless man forcibly grabbed both of Si Nan's hands and tucked them into his chest, his handsome face breaking into a wide, wrinkled grin.

Just as they reached the courtyard gate, Si Nan pushed him out and slammed the gate shut with a loud "bang," effectively shutting the door in Luo Sen's face.

The man laughed helplessly. "Why is she still angry?"

He looked around, and seeing it was pitch black, he leaped over the high courtyard wall with a "whoosh" and landed inside.

Si Nan was lighting the fireplace.

He took off his jacket with a grin and asked Si Nan, "What do you want for dinner?"

"I'll eat whatever you cook." Si Nan replied lazily. She took off her jacket, stretched her neck, and threw herself onto the soft sofa to scroll through news from The Authorities.

"According to incomplete statistics, nearly 70% of the global human population has been bitten and infected or eaten by zombies. Humanity is facing extinction and has been forced into the Apocalypse. What's terrifying is that this dire trend is accelerating."

The Authorities revealed that humanity will face even tougher survival challenges because medical research has found that zombies are evolving too quickly. Currently, no specific medicine can be developed to combat the zombie virus.

Furthermore, in just one month, they have adapted to the current extreme cold. From needing to hibernate at night, most now no longer need sleep, remaining on standby 24 hours a day without rest to hunt for their food—humans. Their strength, speed, reaction, intelligence, hearing, size, and so on are evolving at an exponential rate every day.

They are pervasive, understanding group cooperation to attack humans, knowing how to use tools, and knowing how to use terrain and natural conditions to hunt humans.

All of this indicates that if we humans do not take action, our demise will be accelerated, and all advanced civilizations and technologies will disappear.

So, all survivors, stay strong and join the ranks of the resistance against the zombies. It's either them or us; we can no longer be afraid!

Starting today, The Authorities have deployed combat personnel and fighter jets to drive the zombies away with firepower. Once they are gathered in sufficient numbers in favorable terrain, they will be incinerated.

However, the number of zombies globally is too vast, and this massive undertaking will be continuous—"

Si Nan stopped reading after a while. After all that talk, there was still no solution. Just kill them, kill all the man-eating zombies, and then she wouldn't have to work so hard.

Perhaps the sofa was too comfortable, as Si Nan fell asleep while thinking. Then, she was woken up by a stomach ache and suddenly remembered: "Oh no, my period is here."

Just as she stepped out of the bathroom, the phone on the sofa rang incessantly. It was Ma Bufan. Before leaving, they had exchanged phone numbers specifically so they could call directly in case of an emergency.

"Something happened already?"

Si Nan picked up: "Argh! Sister Nan, this is bad! Gu Jie brought a group of people to attack our villa!"

"Who?" Si Nan thought she had misheard. Hadn't she just sent Gu Jie home? He couldn't even make it home; how could he have the ability to lead people to attack Yunshu Mountain Villa?

On the other end, Ma Bufan confirmed it and sent the surveillance footage to her wechat.

Si Nan opened it. It was indeed Gu Jie. That guy was also driving an Armored Vehicle and holding a light machine gun, trying to figure out how to break in. His goal was Yunshu Mountain Villa?

"Heh, so the reason he was in such a hurry to get back was for Yunshu Mountain Villa. Too bad, I beat you to it."

Si Nan sneered. She thought that after that, she and Gu Jie's group would never cross paths again. She hadn't expected Gu Jie's plan upon returning would be to take over Yunshu Mountain Villa. Fortunately, she had gotten there first.

This also meant Gu Jie knew about Yunshu Mountain Villa. Yet, in order to get it, he had only given her his empty shell of a Security Company. This person was dishonest!

Si Nan narrowed her eyes, but she didn't make any further moves. She was waiting.

Soon, the phone rang. It was Gu Jie calling through wechat. Si Nan curled her lips coldly but didn't answer immediately, waiting until it was almost about to hang up before she picked up.

On the other end, Gu Jie apologized directly. "Sorry, I didn't know Yunshu Mountain Villa had already been taken by you. Hahaha, it seems our fate with you is quite deep. How about taking us in? No other requirements, just food and shelter, and we'll do whatever you say."

Si Nan refused outright. "Section Chief Gu, you must be joking. How could a mere woman like me have the ability to take in a big section chief like you and your group of highly skilled brothers? I haven't lived long enough yet."

Gu Jie forced a smile, lowering his posture as much as possible. "Hahaha, what are you saying? We are following you of our own free will. To be honest, we were scared to death by your Boyfriend the whole way you sent us back.

In all of A City, there's no place safer than Yunshu Mountain Villa except for your house. So, we truly are willing to be your subordinates and follow any of your commands. Including these subordinates of mine—they are now your subordinates as well."
