16: Kill one of them first!
"You? All you have left is to talk big to get your kicks."
Li Na sneered at Si Nan, pointing at the ground beneath her feet and saying, "Alright then, since I'm in a good mood today, as long as you kneel down and beg me, I'll have Finance advance you half a year's salary when I get back."
Si Nan turned around and looked at Han Jiajia with a smile, "Is this the lousy trick you taught her?"
Han Jiajia raised her head, full of pride, "So what if it is? It's enough to deal with you."
"Smack!" Without another word, Si Nan directly slapped Han Jiajia, "This fact tells you this trick doesn't work. If you dare block me again, I'll swell the other half of your face too. Get lost!"
"Ah~" Han Jiajia let out a scream. First, she was stunned by Si Nan's slap and didn't react at all. Usually, Si Nan had the best temper in the company, and no one could have imagined she would suddenly resort to violence.
Then she was roughly shoved aside by Si Nan and fell to the ground, landing right on her knees. All she felt was pain.
"What?!" Even Li Na, who had just walked over, was frightened. Covering her own face, she quickly stepped back. Fortunately, it wasn't her who had blocked Si Nan just now, otherwise that slap might have landed on her face.
"What's going on?" Si Nan's slap had been so swift and resounding that it even drew the attention of customers from the shop across the way, who cast questioning glances.
Seeing it was just three girls having a catfight, and the main character had already left, they didn't bother to gather around.
Meanwhile, Si Nan turned a corner and went to another furniture store on the same floor, where she picked out a sofa set that was both more attractive and cheaper than the previous one and bought it.
As she walked out of the furniture mall, she happened to see Li Na helping the limping Han Jiajia into a car.
Li Na spotted her, "Si Nan, you actually injured Jiajia's leg this badly. I'm taking her to the hospital first, and I'll settle the score with you later."
Han Jiajia, sweating profusely from the pain, heard it was Si Nan and glared at her with bloodshot eyes, "I'll make you pay for this with blood when I recover, you bitch. Just you wait."
"Great, I'll be waiting for you, bitch, to come seek revenge. But first, you'll have to find me. Goodbye, bye-bye."
Si Nan got into her car with a cold laugh. She knew exactly how much force she had used. 'A hundred days to heal a broken bone'—she had done it on purpose. Want her to pay with blood? Before the Apocalypse arrives, Han Jiajia's legs won't be getting better.
Going to the hospital was the right move. That's where the Zombies would first appear in high numbers. Let's kill one first!
Thinking of the hospital, Si Nan immediately reminded herself that there was a hospital near Century Department Store, "It seems clearing out the warehouse on the last day ahead of time won't work. I need to do it at least two days earlier. But how can I empty the warehouse ahead of time without anyone noticing?"
On the way back, she swept up another batch of goods and drove to Luo Sen's house. Luo Sen hadn't returned yet.
First, she took out several food-grade plastic barrels and started filling them with water. Then she cleaned up any traces of her stay, and according to her list of essentials, left most of the supplies she had recently swept up, like toilet paper, for Luo Sen.
She wasn't worried; there was still time to stock up. Fortunately, Luo Sen had foresight. When she had moved the barrel water and bottled water to the underground warehouse earlier, she discovered that Luo Sen's basement had two generators.
They were already connected—definitely prepared during the renovation. She left 200 tons of fuel. So later, she asked that manager for an extra batch of fuel, using Luo Sen's card for the payment.
After finishing this, she carefully checked the warehouse supplies again and nodded in satisfaction, "Hmm, everything is sufficient, packed full, enough for Luo Sen and his parents to use for ten years.
Only the food that's hard to store short-term is lacking. I'll figure something out if it's not enough later."
By the time she finished all this, several water barrels were also full. She used her space to take them away and placed them side by side in Luo Sen's spacious gym, sticking a note on them as she went.
She wandered around a couple more times, confirming the quantity of barrel water and bottled water upstairs. Every possible spot for storing supplies was filled by her, enough to eat and drink for ten years.
Finally, she left a note for Luo Sen, "This is all I can think of for now. For other things, stock up as you see fit. I'm borrowing the small truck and will return it later."
After that, she locked the door and left. She thought Luo Sen would return soon, but she didn't see him again until the zombie outbreak.
On the way back, Si Nan took a different route. Since she was out, there was no reason to return empty-handed, so she continued sweeping up goods.
By the time she got home, it was very late. On the first day of moving in, she was too excited to sleep. She stayed up all night clearing out the underground warehouse and took the generators out of her space to connect them.
She was clever, having specifically instructed that manager to assemble everything before delivery, so now it was very convenient—she just had to connect them.
After connecting them, she turned off her main power switch and tested the generator. The noise wasn't loud; with the warehouse door closed, it was almost silent.
Moreover, just one generator was enough to power all the appliances in her house. Just in case, she put the other two back into her space.
Then, she went to the third floor and set up three M-style and Compound Bows in different positions. With a press of a button, the Bulletproof Glass around opened. She could shoot whoever she wanted.
Only when she was exhausted and sleepy did she go upstairs to sleep. Before closing her eyes, she remembered she had given all the water barrels to Luo Sen, so she quickly ordered 100 food-grade large water barrels for herself as backup water for later.
She decided that when the Zombies came, she would drink barrel water or bottled water to avoid infection from Zombies possibly dying in water tanks and contaminating the water source unknowingly. For washing clothes and bathing, she would use the well water downstairs.
Right, tomorrow I'll also buy more seeds. Growing vegetables can pass the time, cultivate character, and provide fresh vegetables year-round.
How about digging a small pit in the corner of the yard too? Raising some fish and shrimp would also be nice---Thinking this, Si Nan went to meet the Sandman. She woke up at 8 a.m., not in a hurry to go out, but quickly washed up and went to the third floor to try out her fitness equipment.
Just as she went up, having just crawled out of her warm bed, she was frozen like a dog but soon worked up a sweat.
By the time she went out, it was past 10 a.m. First, she went to find that generator manager to get the final batch of fuel. On the way, she saw a roadside truck fully loaded with split dry firewood. She had a sudden idea, parked, and went up to ask, "Excuse me, master, are you selling this firewood?"
The Old Master, who had been squatting on the ground smoking gloomily, said, "Yeah, kid, you buying? What do you need this for? Nowadays, everyone uses natural gas, propane, or electricity. Firewood doesn't sell well anymore. I'm worried about where to take it."
"Hahaha, then sell it to me. If the price is cheap, I'll take a few more truckloads?" Si Nan laughed, getting it without any effort."
