193: Advanced zombie beasts have appeared!
Si Nan thought the same. "Yeah, as long as they can't get up here, we don't need to worry about them. Why don't you try and see if you can scare them away?"
Luo Sen shook his head. "It's useless. If they had any intelligence, they would have sensed my aura and been scared off long ago, instead of looking at the two of us and wanting to fly up and eat us like they are now."
"Then a headshot?" Si Nan took out her gun, then put it back. "A single shot will wake everyone up."
"Go back to sleep. I'll stay here and see what happens." Luo Sen pushed Si Nan toward the cabin door.
Si Nan grabbed his hand and pulled him back, her tone decisive. "What's there to see? We'll deal with them if they manage to get up. Sleep."
Luo Sen smiled and had no choice but to go back to sleep with her. However, the Zombie Beasts below the hull went crazy the moment the fresh meat left. They all exerted their full strength to jump onto the ship, but the hull was too high for them to reach.
They finally managed to grab onto the hull, but because it was too slippery and steep, they fell down time and time again. These brain-dead creatures kept trying until the middle of the night, when a massive dark shadow arrived.
The shadow blended into the pitch-black night, making it impossible to see what it was. All that was known was that it possessed immense strength, easily lifting the severed anchor weighing over a hundred tons as if it were weightless. With a "whoosh," it tossed the anchor onto the ship like a small pebble, where it hooked onto the safety railing, creating a climbing path for those brain-dead Zombie Beasts.
The steady hull began to shake from their climbing. Luo Sen and Si Nan suddenly threw off their blankets and got out of bed to put on their shoes. They had slept in their clothes, fearing the Zombie Beasts might climb up at any moment.
The two of them soon emerged, fully armed.
"Something's coming up," Jian Bing had also gotten up.
"It's Mutated Zombie Fish. They're beyond what you can handle. Master, quickly wake the children. Stay in one room with them and don't move. Leave the rest to Luo Sen and me."
Si Nan spoke with a grave expression before running past Jian Bing with Luo Sen.
"Alright." Jian Bing also knew the severity of the situation. He quickly locked the door and ran to wake the children.
The deck was already crawling with them. To avoid damaging the hard-won helicopter, Luo Sen took Si Nan to the helicopter in a few leaps. He unchained it so Si Nan could store the helicopter in her Space.
Afterward, the two quickly landed on the highest level of the structure, hunting the Zombie Fish back-to-back. One shot, one headshot; the air was filled with a thick, foul stench.
Fortunately, both were wearing helmets; otherwise, they would have choked to death. Soon, the deck was covered in corpses, and this wave was cleared out.
"I'll go cut the chain." Luo Sen flew away from Si Nan and dived toward the anchor. He saw that the chain connecting the anchor was too thick for bullets to break.
He quickly put away his gun, used his strength to lift the anchor, and threw it down. The climbing zombies below roared as they fell onto the beach. Only then did Luo Sen see the massive dark shadow. "So it's you."
"Roar!" At that moment, the massive shadow also saw Luo Sen. As it raised its head, Luo Sen saw clearly that it was also a Mutated Zombie Fish, but unlike the others, it had evolved into a High-Level Zombie Beast.
Not only did it have the ability to walk upright like a human, but it also possessed human intelligence. If it didn't die, it would soon evolve into a King-Level Zombie Beast, capable of destroying heaven and earth. By then, it would be too difficult to eliminate.
After all, the land was humanity's home turf, while the water was its domain.
"Roar, roar, roar—" The High-Level Zombie Beast became irritable upon seeing Luo Sen, as if seeing an arch-enemy. It roared at Luo Sen incessantly. As it shook off the black cloth on its body, a row of sharp bayonet-like spikes was revealed on its back.
With its immense strength, it used its fins, which had evolved into claws, to throw the cannon fodder minions onto the deck one by one, each aimed at Luo Sen.
"Shatter!" A burst of power suddenly shot out from Luo Sen, obliterating the Zombie Beasts thrown at him. The foul-smelling minced meat fell like rain, utterly disgusting.
However, all that disgusting minced meat landed on the High-Level Zombie Beast's head. Under the lights, the fury on its fish face was visible.
"Roar—Bang!" The High-Level Zombie Beast soared into the sky.
"Bang, bang, bang—" Luo Sen and Si Nan fired together, but ordinary bullets were useless against it now. They hit its body without any resistance, like giving it an itch.
It landed on the deck and charged toward Luo Sen.
"Then taste this." Si Nan took out a Sniper Rifle and fired two consecutive shots. The High-Level Zombie Beast dodged one, but the second shot hit the big fellow's body.
It was blown away, crashing below the hull. The bullet pierced through its body, leaving a hole the size of a washbasin, but in just a few seconds, the hole healed automatically at a speed visible to the naked eye. Its body was perfectly intact.
"What! Even a Sniper Rifle can't kill it? Then fire a few more shots, specifically at its head. Luo Sen, catch!" Si Nan was furious as she threw the Sniper Rifle to Luo Sen.
Luo Sen caught the Sniper Rifle and pulled the trigger, chasing the High-Level Zombie Beast with his shots. The thing was smart now, jumping around to dodge, but Luo Sen's marksmanship was no joke, and he still riddled it with holes.
Si Nan came down from the highest roof. Watching the big fellow below the ship turn into a monkey, she curled her lips mischievously. "I wonder if you can dodge this?"
She took out ten Bombs in a row, pulled the pins, and threw them down at the big fellow. "Boom!"
The High-Level Zombie Beast, which was already fleeing in embarrassment from Luo Sen's bullets, had its massive body blown into the air. It emerged from the thick smoke, and under the searchlights, the holes in its body were clearly visible.
This time, the creature was completely enraged. When its half-crippled body landed on the beach, it roared and jumped up to grab Si Nan, clearly intent on tearing her to pieces.
"Get down!" Luo Sen fired three consecutive shots at it. Although the Sniper Rifle couldn't kill it, its massive destructive power could shatter its body.
Even with its powerful self-healing ability, it was impossible for it to heal completely in a single second. Luo Sen seized this opportunity, continuing to fire specifically at its pierced wounds, giving the big fellow's injuries no time to heal and instead making them worse.
Coupled with Si Nan's Bombs being thrown one after another, the two's continuous fire and fierce attack finally mangled its body. Its fins were blown away, and its lower body and tail were blown into countless pieces. It was impossible for them to grow back.
With only its upper half left, it still refused to give up, roaring desperately at Luo Sen and Si Nan.
"Oh, you're not convinced? Then have a few more." Si Nan had two Bombs left, and she pulled the pins and threw them all down.
"Awoo!" The fellow finally surrendered. Flapping its two fish claws evolved from its front fins, it dragged its upper body and bolted.
"Nan Nan, check the hull for any stragglers. I'm going after it." Luo Sen let go of Si Nan and dived down. He wanted this fellow's crystal core; it would surely be large and possess even greater power.
