60: Don't cultivate a jinxed mouth unless necessary.
He looked at the wolf on the cigarette pack, wishing he could awaken magic and command that wolf to bite Si Nan to death.
Si Nan put on a serious face, "Oh, so what? Can it be eaten?"
Man: "---"
That single sentence extinguished all the man's anger.
"This saber?"
"Exchange for ten chickens."
"No, two ducks."
He endured it.
"This Great Saber---"
"Exchange for three boxes of French Bread."
"I don't want it!"
"You?"
The man trembled with anger, feeling all the blood rush to his forehead.
Si Nan didn't even look at him, "These last three sabers---"
"Alright, stop picking." The man closed his eyes, walked over, stomped his foot, gritted his teeth, "Take them all. You decide the price; you're just trying to drive the price down anyway. At least give me some vegetables, right? Give me more bottled water and drinks, and you must offer something for cold medicine, fever reducers, and anti-inflammatories, right?"
He glanced at his belongings. Just a few days ago, they represented his net worth; now, they were all worthless junk, not even enough to trade for food.
He looked as if he had lost the will to live, or perhaps he had made a major decision. He turned his back, unwilling to look at his treasures anymore.
Si Nan had no time for his melodrama. She readily agreed, "Deal. Hurry back and get a shopping cart or something. I'll go inside and prepare the items for you, and you can come back to collect them later. But whether you can haul it all away, I can't guarantee."
"What do you mean? Are you going to snatch them back?" The man suddenly turned around, looking at Si Nan in confusion.
"Sigh, look for yourself." Si Nan looked at the man like he was a freshly baked fool, tilted her chin, and gestured for him to look up at the time, "You don't have a phone to check the Property Owner Group? Or see what's happening in the community? Or watch the news?"
"What?" The man looked up too, glancing at the surrounding residents. Many people on the third floor of the nearby villas were watching them.
The man instantly understood, quickly went home, "I'll go back and bring the other car."
Si Nan opened the courtyard gate, drove the coveted car inside, looked up at the people staring at her, and smiled contentedly. Fortunately, the courtyard wall was high enough that they couldn't see what she was doing inside.
Afterward, she symbolically carried things out of the house a few times to distract them. Then, hiding in a blind spot near the gate, she took out the exchanged items one by one from her Spatial Storage, counted them, and waited for the man outside to move.
Only when she heard the sound of a car arriving at the gate did she open the door and move the items out one by one.
The man had just parked his car, quickly got out, and rushed to open the trunk to load everything, counting as he went. He had estimated that the little girl hadn't completely lost her humanity; although he didn't value the seven Wolves of Yan, she had given him two.
In addition, she gave him two baskets each of potatoes, green peppers, onions, green beans, sweet potatoes, and vegetables, two trays of eggs, and the medicine too.
His expression finally improved slightly, "Hmph, last word: I've never met a girl more irritating than you."
Si Nan smiled and clasped her hands, "Uncle, you flatter me."
Having angered the man, he roared at Si Nan, "What uncle? I just turned 37, I'm just too lazy to shave, hmph, never seeing you again!"
The man angrily slammed the rear door shut.
Si Nan raised her delicate eyebrows playfully and burst out laughing, "Hahaha, quite temperamental. Don't worry, seeing you again is only temporary. Don't forget our remaining cooperation, okay?"
"Hmph, depends on my mood," the man immediately became aloof.
Si Nan curved her lips into a wicked smile, "If nothing unexpected happens, we will meet again soon, possibly when you are in the worst mood."
"Don't be a Jinx if you have nothing better to do." By the time the man finished speaking, he was already sitting in the car.
Si Nan walked back into the courtyard with a smile.
The neighbors who had been watching them shouted at her, "Don't go in, we want to trade too!"
Si Nan raised the Small Ancient Saber in her hand, "Then do you have a priceless antique saber?"
The neighbors shook their heads, "No."
Si Nan asked again, "Then do you have an SUV worth five million?"
"No, neither."
"Can't you ask for something else? Tell us what you need? Maybe we have it at home?" someone urged.
"I need you all to shut up!" Si Nan directly entered the courtyard, slamming the gate shut with a 'pa' sound. A group of ill-intentioned people.
"Ah, I really wish we could kill her. She actually hoarded so much food." The surrounding neighbors hated her to the bone, wishing they could kill Si Nan immediately to get all her things.
Unfortunately, they couldn't even think about killing Si Nan; they didn't dare to now. She had a gun, after all. Only a few days had passed, and she had already killed dozens of people. Sigh, they should think of other ways.
As soon as Si Nan entered the courtyard gate, she heard deafening, heartbreaking screams of terror from within the community, "Ah, it's bad! Everyone look, the Zombies outside the community have gone crazy! They are desperately attacking the main gate of the community!"
"Security? Security? Hurry up and handle it!"
This time, there was no need to call. Gu Jie was terrified when he saw the surveillance footage. He quickly led his men running and jogging toward the nearest community gate. The on-duty security guard, with trembling hands, tightly gripped his Baton but dared not approach the gate.
"Section Chief Gu, what do we do? They've all gone mad, suddenly swarming over and desperately ramming the gate."
Gu Jie observed these Zombies up close. He discovered that their movements and physical agility had improved significantly compared to a few days ago. They were no longer moving slowly and dull-wittedly but had become much more agile.
He was shocked, "This is bad. Just like in the movies, they've... evolved, becoming stronger."
"Then what do we do? If they break through the gate and the walls, we will all be finished." The surrounding security guards were also terrified by the scene. Some were slamming the gate, some were trying to climb over, and some were crawling on the ground trying to squeeze under the bottom of the gate.
They were truly much smarter.
Gu Jie immediately gave the order, "What else can we do? We absolutely cannot let them have a chance to get in. If one gets in, ten can get in, a hundred can get in—that will be our doomsday."
"But we don't have enough people, only twenty-something left," the other security guards despaired.
"Of course, we can't rely only on us." Gu Jie immediately tagged everyone in the group, "Everyone has seen the situation. The matter is serious; this could be our doomsday. Please, all Property Owners, come downstairs to take turns on duty and jointly fight the Zombies."
The group exploded: "What? Our doomsday? Isn't that an exaggeration?"
"Let's go down and help."
"It's too dangerous."
"What are you saying upstairs? When the gate breaks open and the Zombies flood in like a flood, it will be even more dangerous. You won't even be able to leave your door."
"Exactly. At a time like this, put aside all grudges and focus on surviving the Zombies first."
Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning also messaged Si Nan in the group, "Sister Nan, what's going on? It looks bad; should we go down and help?"
