186: A perfect little zombie has appeared!
Gu Shi and the girl held hands, and the moment they saw Si Nan, they immediately knelt down, saying, “Sister Nan, please take in my older sister, Gu Yan, too. I just thought she died, but when I went back to pack things, I heard her crying under the bed.
My sister is very nice, she's seventeen, and she can do laundry and cook. Please, Sister Nan!"
"Please, Sister Nan! We can vouch for her; Older Sister Gu Yan is genuinely kind and very sensible." Xue Liang and Cao Junjun also knelt down, pleading with Si Nan.
Si Nan looked at Gu Yan. The little girl had indeed been crying; her eyes were still red, and she seemed a bit dazed from the fright.
Gu Yan was suddenly pulled by her younger brother, Gu Shi, and she snapped back to reality. She immediately knelt down and kowtowed to Si Nan, "Please, Sister Nan, take us in so my brother and I can depend on each other. I can do housework, and farm work is fine too."
Si Nan thought for a moment. Most of the people she had taken in were single men. Xiao Wen might have a chance with the master. She might as well keep this one too; maybe she could get along well with Ma Bufan or Guan Xiaoning.
"Then follow along."
Without further delay, Si Nan and Luo Sen took the four of them directly onto the helicopter. The four little fellows couldn't believe it, touching the helicopter door as if they were dreaming. "Sister Nan, we're riding in this?"
Si Nan was already seated inside the cabin. "If you want to walk, I don't mind."
"No, no, no, we don't want to walk! We're just too surprised. This is the first real plane we've ever seen in our lives." The four little fellows scrambled aboard the helicopter.
Jian Bing, who was in the front, shook his head and gave a wry smile. "Girl, you've picked up more little brothers and sisters to take home."
Si Nan spread her hands playfully. "No choice, my charm is too great. Plus, there are plenty of bachelors in the harem, so it’s better to be prepared."
"Pfft~" Jian Bing laughed heartily and shamelessly. "So, you're keen on being a matchmaker, huh?"
"Harem? Are you trying to get revenge on me?" Luo Sen squeezed Si Nan's small hand.
"Yes, I always repay a grudge," Si Nan retorted bravely to Luo Sen.
The master and apprentice chatted as they flew off. The next target was the Kong Family, located over two thousand meters away.
The Kong Family was also one of the top wealthy families in G City, an ancient family with deep roots.
However, the current generation's Kong Family Patriarch was somewhat disappointing, squandering a lot of the family fortune. If the Kong Family hadn't had such a solid foundation, they would have long since declined.
What must be mentioned is Yin Xiu, the current matriarch of the Kong Family. Though she was an old woman over sixty, she was an extremely ruthless figure.
After her son, Kong Likang, squandered most of the family fortune, she took decisive action to turn the tide. With lightning speed, she cut off all unprofitable subsidiaries, reorganized internal staff, and preferred to pay severance to dismiss useless employees rather than keep them.
Furthermore, she added the most profitable business of the time—the entertainment industry. It was this decision that allowed the Kong Family to quickly recover and once again stand among the wealthiest in G City, second only to the Deng Family in wealth and status.
Unfortunately, this period only lasted seven or eight years. After Yin Xiu fell gravely ill, the long-suppressed Kong Likang reverted to his old ways and caused all sorts of trouble. He was simply not cut out for business, causing the Kong Group to quickly fall back to where it was eight years prior.
At this point, Yin Xiu could no longer control Kong Likang. Relying on oxygen to sustain her life, she lay in the hospital, and Kong Likang didn't even visit her once a month. Her grandson inherited his father's bad habits and was even worse; she, the grandmother, couldn't even see him once a year.
The zombie virus broke out on the third day after Yin Xiu died of anger. In her will, she left all her shares to her granddaughter, the only promising junior member of the Kong Family.
But the malicious father, Kong Likang, hid the will and immediately sent his daughter abroad. This accidental move ended up saving his daughter's life, because by the time Si Nan and Luo Sen arrived at the Kong Family estate, it had already fallen.
It seemed to have suffered an attack from other malicious forces; large sections of the Kong Family's protective wall had been blown down, and zombies poured in, commencing a frenzied slaughter.
Not only were the Kong Family villa's exterior and interior filled with zombies, but the rooftop was also covered in them. Luo Sen leapt down while holding Si Nan, and an invisible force cleared the zombies away, causing them to fall to the ground below the villa.
The four youths were stunned: "Aww, so Brother Sen is an Ability User after all!"
Jian Bing's ears were almost deafened by the shouting. "Stop! You'll have plenty more to be surprised about with these two. You kids are young, but your eyes are sharp; you've latched onto the two most powerful people in the world. Work hard from now on, and good times await you."
"Yes, thank you, Uncle Jian, we will definitely work hard." The four youths raised their hands into fists. They had no idea how brutal the future training would be, or what kind of challenge it represented for them, half-grown as they were.
They also didn't know that the man they called Uncle Jian was actually their Devil Master, who wouldn't change his training methods just because they were young.
Jian Bing parked the helicopter on the rooftop to wait, pulling out his gun and watching the surroundings vigilantly.
Si Nan and Luo Sen quickly went downstairs. They didn't see a single living person besides the zombies, and most of the valuables had been looted. Since Si Nan possessed space, she wasn't picky; she took any useful supplies. Even so, she managed to pick up many good things, making this trip extremely worthwhile.
Forty minutes later, just as they were about to leave and return to the helicopter, a rustling sound suddenly came from the bushes behind Luo Sen. A strange Little boy, three or four years old, looked at Luo Sen and immediately shouted, "Papa!"
"Hmm?" Luo Sen and Si Nan turned around simultaneously, both instantly startled. The Little boy was filthy, his face was smeared black, and there were dried bloodstains. The word "Papa" that he uttered sounded very stiff.
Si Nan and Luo Sen immediately thought: "A Little Zombie? My God, he actually retained his consciousness and clarity, just like you! He's simply perfect."
Si Nan was extremely surprised, inspecting the Little Zombie from head to toe. His height only reached above her knees, but his semi-grayish-white eyes still retained clear pupils, and he was looking at Si Nan and Luo Sen expectantly.
To be precise, he was looking at Luo Sen. He had mistaken him for someone else, believing Luo Sen was his father, and he stretched his two small hands toward Luo Sen.
But Luo Sen gave no response. Forget a zombie, he wouldn't even raise a normal Child.
Si Nan didn't dare approach the Little Zombie either, because The little fellow's gaze toward her wasn't friendly, but she still wanted to confirm something. "I'll test his other functions."
She stretched out her hand, slowly approaching the Little Zombie. When she was only halfway there, the previously quiet Little Zombie became frantic and lunged forward to bite Si Nan's hand.
"No biting people." Luo Sen was right beside her, protecting Si Nan. He grabbed the Little Zombie by the back of his collar and lifted him away, keeping him far from Si Nan.
But the Little Zombie ran back, and he ran very fast, hugging Luo Sen's calf and shouting, "Papa."
Luo Sen continued to pull him away. "I am not your father."
"Papa." The Little Zombie was very persistent.
Luo Sen gritted his teeth: "I am not your father. Stop calling me that."
Little Zombie: "Papa."
Luo Sen: "---"
He finally gave up. With a flick of his wrist, he threw the Little Zombie ten meters away and turned to take Si Nan's hand.
However, it only took three seconds for the Little Zombie to return. Those short little legs churned incredibly fast; he was practically the legendary Speedster.
