198: A man who had always been chaste finally broke his vow.
After not living there for a few days, the home was still spotless. The airtightness of the doors and windows was impressive, so Si Nan quickly opened them for ventilation.
She lit the small fireplace, and the living room soon warmed up. She placed a large pot of water on the fireplace; she would have hot water for a bath in a while.
She took off her coat, left it on the sofa, and went to the third floor. Sitting before the surveillance monitors, she surveyed the entire Residential Area. With every screen switch, she used a small notebook to record what each small patch of land was suitable for planting—until she had planned out all the plantable land in the Residential Area.
Luo Sen came up to call her, "Nan Nan, your bath water is ready. You can take a bath now."
"It's fine, you go first. I'll come down once I'm finished." Si Nan didn't even look up, scribbling in her notebook.
Seeing her so focused, Luo Sen didn't disturb her and went back down. An hour later, he came up again to find Si Nan still busy. He picked her up in a princess carry. "Is this more important than you? Bath first."
After setting her down on the sofa, he roughly snatched the notebook from Si Nan's hands and handed her her clean pajamas.
"Fine. I'll also think carefully about what's suitable for that shaded spot... what would work? It feels like there's something perfect, but why can't I remember it?"
Helpless, Si Nan had no choice but to go bathe obediently. Her mind reeled like a movie, thinking of crops or vegetables suitable for shade. Something was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn't recall it, making her quite anxious.
As it happened, Luo Sen had prepared the romantic dinner, but she still hadn't come out of the bathroom. He opened the door to look, and goodness, Si Nan had fallen asleep while soaking in the wooden tub.
"You dummy." Luo Sen quickly wrapped her up and carried her out, laying her on the large bed. He swiftly dried her, covered her with the quilt, and blew her hair dry.
During the process, Si Nan lazily opened her eyes and glanced at Luo Sen. That drowsy, blurred gaze instantly captivated Luo Sen's heart. If it weren't for her long, damp hair still dripping water, he would have taken her right then and there.
She was practically seducing him, knowing full well he had no self-control when it came to her.
She must have been exhausted; even the loud hairdryer couldn't wake her. She was sleeping soundly.
Suddenly, feeling uncomfortable wrapped in the bath towel, she rolled over, revealing half of the 'peerless scenery'.
"You?" Luo Sen's breath hitched. His gray-blue eyes darkened bit by bit, and his thin lips curled into a cold, charming smile. He shed his silk robe and climbed directly into bed.
In her dream, Si Nan felt as if someone was choking her, making it harder and harder to breathe. In her panic, she swung a hand out. "Get lost!"
It landed right on Luo Sen's face. The crisp sound woke her up. Opening her eyes, she saw Luo Sen with blood-shot eyes, gritting his teeth.
"Well now, you dare slap your husband's face? Let's see how I deal with you."
"Wait—hold on—I was just dreaming—no—mmph~" Si Nan couldn't say another word; Luo Sen was determined not to give her the chance.
It turned out that an old man who had been abstinent for over twenty years was terrifying. Even the powerful Si Nan was nearly worn to pieces by him. Fortunately, Luo Sen still had some restraint and eventually let her go.
However, Si Nan didn't even have the strength to open her eyes to see if it was dark yet. She was so tired that even if someone whipped her now, she wouldn't resist; she just wanted to sleep.
A certain chaste man finally got his wish and tasted meat. Sated and content, his face was covered in smiles. Even the thick darkness of the night couldn't hide his grin. It was as if those few hours hadn't even happened; he still looked full of energy as he watched the sleeping Si Nan, wanting to continue—but he really couldn't bear to trouble her further. He had no choice but to get up and take a cold shower. Then, lying back down beside Si Nan, he checked his phone and saw that his mother had replied to his wechat hours ago:
"Son, we'll talk about business later. First, tell Mom, did you succeed? Is there any hope for my grandson or granddaughter? Quick, quick, quick, report your progress to Mom. I'm waiting online, urgent!"
Luo Sen was nearly dying of laughter. He replied with a smile: "Perfect timing. It was a success. As for the grandson or granddaughter you're hoping for, they've only been around for three hours, so I don't know yet."
"Oh my, my son is so impressive! But how could you bully Little Nan for so long? Keep it shorter in the future, one or two hours is enough."
"By the way, do you need Mom to secretly send you some Spirit Medicine?"
"Mom guarantees this medicine works great. No side effects, won't harm the body. I guarantee that one dose will give me both a grandson and a granddaughter."
Luo Sen: "..."
"No thanks. You should keep it for your husband. Maybe you can give me a younger brother or sister."
"Oh, you Child—but you're right, your dad should get a vasectomy."
A roar from the other end: "What vasectomy? Listen to our son, let's keep working hard to make a daughter. Look at how cute our daughter-in-law is; she even took away our troublemaking son. Let's raise one of our own. When she grows up, she can help us deal with this troublemaking son. Come on, honey, let's start making one."
"Get lost, you shameless old man, I'm talking business with our son. Son, keep the Little Zombie you mentioned for yourself. Once trained, it can be a good helper for you. Mom has Semi-Zombies here that are more suitable for research."
"Semi-Zombies?" Luo Sen was stunned. Was it what he thought?
"Yes, children born to bitten pregnant women. They have the bad genes of zombies but maintain human intelligence and normal behavior. They're more suitable for research. The Search and Rescue Team just brought them back recently; there are already over a dozen Semi-Zombie infants."
"Among them, two are similar to what you described—children who were bitten but didn't completely turn into zombies. These are all subjects your mom needs to research. I'm busy to death."
"Also, is my precious daughter-in-law asleep after your tossing?"
"Yeah."
"Then goodnight, son."
"Goodnight, Mom."
Truly a hilarious family.
Si Nan didn't wake up until noon the next day. Luo Sen wasn't home, but breakfast was being kept warm by the edge of the fireplace. It seemed Luo Sen had gone out early.
Inside Rising Sun Bay, Luo Sen sat on a swing in the Residential Area's playground. He sat with his legs crossed, looking at the hundred or so people opposite him. His gray-blue eyes locked onto the leader of the group, a man about his age.
This man was filled with a murderous aura, looking even more formidable than him, the Corpse King. It was annoying to look at; he hadn't even released his own Corpse King killing intent yet.
Probably because this person was too ruthless, there wasn't a single elderly person or Child among the hundred people opposite him. They were all men and women between the ages of 14 and 50.
He's truly ruthless; his Nan Nan is the one with a kind heart.
Gu Jie, Director Lin, Ge Yue, and Mao Xin stood behind Luo Sen, their bodies tense. They couldn't help but turn their heads to look at the devil circle behind them. In the inner circle stood them and all the survivors from this Residential Area.
But the outer circle was packed with zombies, surrounding them densely, layer upon layer. These two circles represented life and death, separated only by a single thought, a single line. The scene was so grand they didn't even dare look at the outer layer.
What was Brother Sen thinking? If the zombies went crazy in a moment, none of them would be able to escape.
Strangely enough, these zombies seemed to be afraid of Brother Sen. Not a single zombie had stepped forward to bite them on their way here. In fact, they even retreated when they saw Brother Sen—wasn't this like seeing a ghost in broad daylight?
Could Brother Sen be even scarier than a Corpse King? They reacted like mice seeing a cat.
Just as they were bewildered, the other side spoke arrogantly—
