142: With the next cut, I'll take your life!

The Little boy refused immediately, "No, it's too dirty. How can I drink it after you've had some? This was given to me by Big Sister."

The yellow-haired guy didn't give up, "Then how about giving me a bag of the potato chips in your arms?"

Shameless!

Everyone cursed the Yellow-Haired Kid in their hearts. A man in his twenties competing with a Child for food—he had lost all his dignity as a man.

The Little boy was even more blunt this time. He turned around and pointed his butt at the yellow-haired guy, "No, I'm going to share them with my Mom."

The yellow-haired guy was silent with rage, and the scene suddenly froze.

Everyone thought it would end there, but no one expected the yellow-haired guy to scramble up and try to snatch the Little boy's things. He grabbed one in each hand, wanting to take not only the Little boy's milk but also his potato chips.

The Child's mother immediately grabbed the milk and chips. "What are you doing? Let go!"

"Let go!" The Captain was the first to get up and stop him, pointing his gun at the yellow-haired guy.

The yellow-haired guy wasn't afraid at all. He gripped the milk and chips tightly with both hands, looking up at the Captain with hatred. "I won't let go, so what? The Authorities pay you to protect us commoners, not to deal with us. Get lost!"

Just as the Captain was about to knock the yellow-haired guy unconscious, a Military Knife whistled past his arm with a "whoosh." With a "thud," it pierced the cotton coat on the yellow-haired guy's arm and pinned him to the wall.

Luo Sen took out a second Military Knife and toyed with it in his hand. "With the next strike, I'll take your life!"

He had long wanted to finish off this yellow-haired guy with one strike. Letting him blather for so long was humane enough.

The yellow-haired guy hurriedly clutched his head and shouted with all his might, "I won't do it again, I won't do it again!"

The room finally fell silent.

However, the Captain looked at the Military Knife behind the yellow-haired guy, his eyes filled with admiration. It had sunk five centimeters into the wall! That was a solid concrete and brick wall; how many years must he have practiced?

He used a great deal of strength to pull it out, then walked over to Luo Sen. "Brother, your knife-throwing skills are remarkable. How many years have you practiced? How about coming with us? I can recommend you to be directly enlisted in our Search and Rescue Team."

In truth, Luo Sen had desperately tried to control his strength. Otherwise, the entire Military Knife would have vanished into the wall—just as he wanted to hammer the yellow-haired guy into the wall so deep he couldn't be pried out.

Luo Sen took back the Military Knife. "Thanks, but I'm not going."

When he said this, his eyes were looking tenderly at Si Nan, and Si Nan smiled back at Luo Sen.

This forced the Captain to swallow a mouthful of dog food from up close. He noticed Luo Sen's unusual gray-blue eyes but didn't think much of it, assuming Luo Sen was of mixed race.

Because Luo Sen was so handsome, with deep, chiseled features and a tall, fit physique, he looked like an exceptional biracial individual.

"It's a pity. Your skill could crush any of us. You're more than capable of dealing with zombies from a distance, safely and efficiently." The Captain shook his head in disappointment, having failed to recruit such a skilled man as Luo Sen.

Luo Sen didn't give any response, keeping a cold face and remaining silent. His personality hadn't actually changed; he was still indifferent. It was just that when he first turned into a zombie, his intelligence reverted to that of a two or three-year-old. Later, when he came to Si Nan, his memories returned. To continue tricking Si Nan into his arms, he had kept up the act of being a Child.

In his life, there was only one person he wasn't cold toward besides his parents, and that was Si Nan.

The Captain stood up to walk back when suddenly, a roar echoed from outside the door. Immediately after, something began attacking the door. Through the door, they could hear the sound of those factory carts being knocked over.

Everyone stood up in fear, at a loss. "Ah, this is bad! The zombies are coming to besiege us!"

"Mom, I'm scared."

"Husband, are we going to die here?"

The yellow-haired guy: "Captain, you have to protect me! Go out and kill those zombies quickly!"

"Captain, I can't take it anymore. Why don't we just throw this yellow-haired guy out?" The other five couldn't help but want to act against him. They all regretted saving him; they had even sacrificed one person to save this guy, so what was the point?

The Captain gritted his teeth, glanced at the yellow-haired guy, and said to his subordinates, "Ignore him. Deal with the zombies first."

"Bang—Roar roar roar—"

Just then, an overwhelming wave of zombie howls came from outside. The door was under frenzied attack and was about to give way. As they spoke, "Crack—Bang—"

The door was smashed open. What rushed in weren't zombies, but Zombie Beasts.

The Captain was terrified. "Not good! It's powerful mutated Zombie Beasts! Everyone, leave this room quickly and run upstairs!"

"Captain, there are too many of them. We can't hold them off. Let's run!"

For a time, the sounds of gunfire mixed with screams rose and fell. Among the large group, several clever women who had designs on Luo Sen immediately ran behind him.

One woman, relying on her beauty, even bumped Si Nan aside and grabbed Luo Sen's arm. "Big brother, save—save me! I'm so scared."

"Get lost! You're filthy!" Without a word, Luo Sen grabbed the woman's arm and sent her straight to the Zombie Beasts, using her to block a disgusting Zombie Dog that was lunging at them.

Si Nan, unhurried, walked out of the room and turned into the office where she had previously discussed the generator's price with the manager. Some survivors followed her into the office and blocked the door with a desk.

Strangely, this time the Zombie Beasts didn't seem to catch their scent and didn't attack. All the survivors breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed onto the floor.

Si Nan sat bored in the office chair, pulling out several drawers to look for things of interest. One of the women pointed at Luo Sen and said, "You are so heartless! You look like a decent human being, but how could you throw someone directly to the Zombie Beasts? You—"

"Chih!"

"Ah!"

After a few brief sounds, Si Nan put away her ancient saber. Blood splattered everywhere as the woman's body collapsed to the ground. Her voice was cold and bone-chilling:

"Stupid idiots who can't distinguish reality. You knew we were a couple, yet you bumped me aside and clung to my Boyfriend's arm right in front of me. What's the point of keeping such trash around?

If he hadn't thrown her out, none of you would be alive right now. Does anyone else have an objection like hers?"

"No, no—no—none." The others had long been scared witless—specifically, they were stunned by Si Nan's sudden move. They had all thought Si Nan was protected by Luo Sen, never imagining she was just as terrifying as her Boyfriend. They both knew martial arts.

The weird thing was that they were all right there, standing opposite Si Nan, yet they hadn't seen how she struck. If the woman hadn't collapsed with blood spurting from her neck, they wouldn't have even known she had been killed.

To provoke someone like that—she deserved to die!

They had seen it too; they had run toward the couple along with this woman. The dead woman had shoved the other person aside quite forcefully to grab the other side of her Boyfriend's arm. Such an overt attempt at seduction deserved divine retribution.

"Open the door! Open it quickly!" At that moment, the yellow-haired guy suddenly began pounding on the door.
