152: I never imagined I'd fall for a woman.

Just as the helicopter's door was about to close, Si Nan suddenly appeared. Her face was blackened by the smoke as she shot Second Young Master Qin in the buttocks. "You won't be able to leave."

"What? A woman!" Even the well-traveled Old Man Deng was shocked. To think that all the top-tier mercenaries he had hired at such a high price were taken down by a mere woman.

After that grenade explosion just now, the Mercenary Leader's body hadn't been found—he was likely blown to bits. Regardless, Old Man Deng couldn't afford to fall here.

"You, go down and deal with her. She's just a woman; she's no match for you."

Without another word, Old Man Deng kicked Second Young Master Qin out of the helicopter, immediately slammed the cabin door shut, and urgently ordered the heavily wounded Mercenary, "Let's go, quickly!"

"Huh? Old Man Deng, you old fossil! You're trying to leave me behind and escape? If I die, you'll never be able to take this villa. I curse you to a miserable death!"

Second Young Master Qin was livid. He never dreamed Old Man Deng would kick him off the helicopter. Their interests were tied together, yet this old man had kicked him out to be cannon fodder at the critical moment. He wasn't going to let him off easily.

"Argh! You two, get down here!" He clung desperately to the base of the helicopter, pounding on the cabin door. Si Nan had an advanced silenced gun; he was no match for her.

Old Man Deng ignored him. "Second Young Master Qin, don't make it sound so noble. In my eyes, you're nothing but a lapdog."

"As for your family, especially your young and beautiful sister and fiancée, I will naturally take good care of them for you. Hahaha~"

The old man thought he was about to escape and was acting incredibly arrogant, still maintaining his haughty and condescending attitude.

"Ah, you old bastard, I curse you to a miserable death, to be devoured by zombies!" Second Young Master Qin pounded on the cabin door, cursing in fury and resentment.

Si Nan stood her ground, watching the dog-eat-dog scene with a beaming smile.

"Let's go." The Mercenary was overjoyed. By ditching Second Young Master Qin and saving Old Man Deng, he would surely be rewarded.

Moreover, now that the boss was dead and with Old Man Deng backing him, he would be the new leader. It was a triple win. Hahaha~

Unfortunately—the helicopter that had just taken off suddenly—Bang!

The helicopter was yanked back. Unbeknownst to them, it had been tethered by a massive, thick chain. No matter how it struggled, it couldn't break free.

This was why Si Nan hadn't been worried at all as she watched them try to flee; instead, she had been smiling as she watched the show.

"It was her! She must have chained the helicopter while the smoke was thick. I'm going to kill her!" The Mercenary pointed at Si Nan, gritting his teeth. All his beautiful fantasies suddenly collapsed, and he wanted to shoot her dead.

He opened the helicopter door, pulled out his gun, and fired repeatedly at Si Nan.

The moment he opened the door, Si Nan dodged behind the helicopter, grabbing Second Young Master Qin along the way to use as a shield.

"You dead woman, get off me!" Second Young Master Qin wasn't about to take it lying down either. He tried to attack Si Nan even as she held him by the collar. However, a young master raised in luxury had no combat ability to speak of. After two rounds, he was defeated, unable to break free from Si Nan's grip despite using every ounce of strength.

Si Nan spoke up, "How about we cooperate? I'll deal with that lame Mercenary, and you handle the old man. If he gets back, your sister and fiancée won't survive; they'll definitely become the targets of his cruelty. What do you say?"

"Really?" Second Young Master Qin couldn't believe his ears. He looked at Si Nan's soot-covered face; she didn't seem to be lying.

"Of course it's true, because I want this helicopter." Si Nan tapped her blackened face. She didn't know if the grenade had been sitting for too long or if the quality was poor, but her face was covered in soot, which happened to hide her stunning features.

Second Young Master Qin took off running. "Deal! I'm going to tear that old man limb from limb!"

Si Nan curled her lips. "Smart move."

The next second, she turned and climbed up from the bottom of the helicopter through the open door. The helicopter was still swaying, its engine roaring at full power in an attempt to break the chain.

Si Nan sneered. How could they possibly break a sturdy chain forged from high-grade steel?

"Break for me!" The Mercenary held his machine gun and fired wildly at the swaying chain, but the bullets either missed or struck the chain, sending sparks flying. The chain remained completely intact.

"Impossible, impossible! There's no way bullets can't break it. I've been able to break any kind of chain before!"

"Then go down and unfasten it. I'll cover you." Old Man Deng gripped his small pistol and ordered the Mercenary.

The Mercenary's expression suddenly turned cold. This damned old man—he had only managed to get on board because the two of them had supported him. His left thigh was still bleeding, and he could barely move. Sending him down now was sending him to his death.

But, being as insidious as he was, a murderous glint flashed in his eyes as he replied submissively, "Fine, I'll go down immediately. Ah, no! That woman is shooting this way! Old Man Deng, watch out!"

While shouting "watch out," his upper body lunged toward Old Man Deng. He grabbed the old man's arms and pushed him directly out of the cabin, then quickly slammed the door shut.

"Old man, go to hell! As long as I make it back alive, I'll take over your estate for you." The Mercenary patted his crumpled camouflage uniform and increased the engine power to continue struggling against the chain.

"Bang!" The sixty-something-year-old Old Man Deng was pushed so hard that he fell from the cabin onto the concrete. He landed face-first, his face covered in blood. He lay on the ground half-dead, doing nothing but screaming in pain.

Second Young Master Qin stepped on Old Man Deng's bloody face, grinding his heel down hard. "Old man, you finally got what's coming to you. This is called karma."

Inside the cabin—Bang! Si Nan had somehow boarded the helicopter and shot the Mercenary dead.

Until the moment he died, he couldn't believe it. "How... how did you get up here?"

Si Nan stepped aside to reveal the cabin door behind her. "You were too careless. The door on the other side wasn't locked. You can rest in peace now."

She snatched the gun from the Mercenary's hand, pushed him out, pulled the key, and then turned to collect all the good stuff in the cabin into her space. Then she stepped down and watched the scene before her with a smile.

On the ground, Second Young Master Qin and the old man were tearing into each other. The young and the old were locked in a fierce struggle, but in the end, the young and strong Second Young Master Qin won. He plunged a knife deep into Old Man Deng's heart.

"Hahaha, the old man is finally dead! I—Bang!" A sudden shot from behind took Second Young Master Qin down. A bullet pierced his heart, and he collapsed to the ground, bleeding profusely.

Si Nan's heart tightened. She threw her ancient saber and fired a bullet at the same time. If Second Young Master Qin hadn't been in her way just now, she would have been the one hit. "You're still alive? Were you wearing a bulletproof vest?"

The Mercenary Leader, who had been mangled by the explosion, laughed toward the sky. "Hahaha! I've lived for forty years and never thought I'd fall at the hands of a woman. I've always been the one playing with women, yet this is the first time I've been played by one."
