200: The Horror of the Formation

The consciousness of the Buddha Dharma permeated almost the entire Formation; various buddhist teachings and their core principles poured into Tang Ku’s body… or rather, his soul, like a tide.

The sky was filled with buddhist teachings, and the eyes were full of buddhist teachings. The will unique to the Buddha Dharma was slowly infiltrating every part of his body, even his Mental Energy world.

“Hmm, such a vast amount of knowledge… if it were an ordinary person, they would probably turn into an idiot on the spot…”

Tang Ku, who was in the Formation, immediately understood the terrifying aspect of this Formation. If the Buddha Dharma were to baptize the entire city’s population with such intensity, then ninety-nine percent of the people in the entire city would become devout Buddhist believers, and it was even possible that a few Buddhist Disciples with great wisdom would emerge.

The remaining one percent would be those with firm wills, such as great Confucian scholars or generals, as well as royal personnel with added Luck. Besides these individuals, everyone else would be completely brainwashed without exception.

“However… hehe, are you sure you haven’t picked the wrong target by using this method against me?”

Tang Ku clasped his hands together and softly chanted, “Guangdu Xin Buddha, deliver all from suffering… I, Tang Sanzang, am originally a Disciple of the Buddha Dharma. I am more familiar with the essence of the Buddha Dharma than you all…”

His spirit instantly brightened. Those Buddha Dharma-related things were like a fleeting shadow to him. Given his understanding of the Buddha Dharma, this level of Mental Energy attack could not cause him any harm at all.

“Hum!”

The Buddhist mantra, like a lion’s roar, spread outwards, directly scattering the Mental Energy condensed around it. The chanting sound from before instantly vanished without a trace.

The Four Heavenly Kings knew well that this kind of move had no effect whatsoever on someone who had been immersed in the Buddha Dharma for many years. However, the original intention of this Formation was precisely that; a Mental Energy baptism was a necessary process.

Seeing their Mental Energy scattered, the four of them were not anxious. Instead, they released the Magic Treasures in their hands, allowing them to maintain the Formation, while they themselves, armed with weapons, directly entered the Formation and surrounded Tang Ku to kill him.

“Clang!”

The Xuanwu True Skill was still in effect. The weapons of the four men struck his body, basically having no effect, and this was already the fourth strike!

The Xuanwu True Skill had a one-fifth chance of causing one hundred percent counter-damage. The four men continued to attack simultaneously, their weapons instantly falling upon Tang Ku’s body, but they were instantly repelled by a powerful force.

All four showed surprise, but Tang Ku, at the center, frowned slightly, even more surprised than them.

“Counter-damage had no effect? Hmm, no, that’s not right, counter-damage still had an effect, otherwise they wouldn’t have been repelled, but why weren’t they injured? Even their weapons didn’t have any damage!”

Frowning slightly, Tang Ku simply gave up on the Xuanwu True Skill and instead directly engaged them in close-quarters combat.

He first targeted Magician Qing, darting above him at an extremely fast speed. His right fist was instantly covered by the War God Gauntlets, and the Great Wilderness Divine Fist’s Earth-Shaking Style erupted above Magician Qing’s head.

Magician Qing grunted, and the long spear in his hand, like a swimming Dragon, thrust towards Tang Ku.

Tang Ku knew the attack power of the Earth-Shaking Style best: a twenty-fold amplitude plus the War God Gauntlets’ boost, it actually struck a spark on Magician Qing’s head!

One must know that with such a configuration and such attack power, even a large mountain would be shattered with one punch. Even with the Buddha Dharma strengthening his body, Magician Qing should not have been able to withstand it so easily.

So, where exactly was the problem?

Bang!

Tang Ku was sent flying by his spear. The monk’s robe on his chest was already torn, revealing a bowl-sized hole, and a fist-sized red mark appeared on his right chest.

Although he recovered quickly, it still left a hint of shock in Tang Ku’s heart.

“Oh, it can actually make me feel pain? This attack power is also very strong!”

Bang!

His back seemed to hit something. Tang Ku suddenly turned around, and bolts of lightning almost struck him from above. Helpless, Tang Ku could only dodge with his superhuman speed, and before he could fully evade, two maces from the other side had already smashed down on his head.

Caught off guard, Tang Ku was struck squarely on the head, sending out a shower of sparks from his scalp, followed by two red welts that looked truly terrifying.

“So painful… Is Mo Lishou’s attack power also this strong? And his speed… he can actually keep up with my movement technique?”

Tang Ku was even more puzzled.

Just now, his back hit the boundary of the Formation, which triggered the power of the Thunder Pearl on the Primordial Umbrella, causing the lightning to chase him. After taking a hit from Mo Lishou, Tang Ku had already learned his lesson and dodged behind the nearest Mo Lihai.

However, although Mo Lihai appeared clumsy and seemed less agile in movement, he unexpectedly transformed into a water-like mass when Tang Ku’s fist came from behind. Immediately after, Tang Ku felt a shining weapon slash down at his head. Looking closely, it was Mo Lihong’s Fangtian Halberd.

Tang Ku extended his arms to block. Just as he parried the Fangtian Halberd, Mo Lihai, directly opposite him, had already transformed back into his original body, and this time he was facing him, thrusting his bright silver spear at his heart.

Bang!

Boom!

Tang Ku was instantly sent flying again, crashing into the edge of the Formation. Then, a fierce gale swept over, and countless blades slashed back and forth across his body, tearing his monk’s robe into strips of cloth.

Lightning, thunder and fire, fierce gales, and sand-like grit were all intertwined, almost completely surrounding Tang Ku. Looking at the momentum, it seemed determined to tear him to shreds before stopping.

“If it were anyone else, even someone with the cultivation of that Dragon Subduing Arhat, they would probably suffer a loss… But this Kryptonian physique is truly something else, to be able to endure such an intensity of attack for so long… Hmm, no, that’s not right… A Kryptonian’s body isn’t just about strong physical attributes… Hmm, come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever used any other abilities…”

He glanced outside, where there seemed to be no light at all. Tang Ku couldn’t help but narrow his eyes slightly: “Since that’s the case, I’ll give it a try…”

With that, he suddenly took a deep breath, then blew furiously outwards.

Whoosh… Boom!

A violent hurricane erupted from his mouth. In addition, an extremely cold aura accompanied the fierce wind, instantly sweeping around. All the gales and various energy attacks that had enveloped him instantly vanished, transforming instead into countless ice crystals slowly drifting down from the sky, varying in size, as if a considerable blizzard had begun to fall from the heavens.
