301: Successful experiment

The System really had issues; Tang Ku even felt as if his life had been orchestrated by someone, and that this so-called System had been arranged for him by some powerful entity that had surpassed the Saint!

"Surpassing the Saint? Is that even possible?" Tang Ku frowned slightly.

However, besides that, was there any other explanation?

The System always popped up to provide him with the most suitable skills whenever he needed help. Although the System seemed to have a foul mouth and often mocked him, this precisely proved that the System itself, or the creature manipulating it, possessed self-awareness!

It adapted to the situation, offering him the greatest convenience, allowing him to be invincible every time he faced difficulties!

This made him have to suspect that he might be the protagonist of this world, the kind known as a Child of Destiny!

"How could that be possible..."

Shaking his head in self-mockery, Tang Ku cast these unrealistic thoughts from his mind, then immediately continued to use Spiritual Awareness Microscopic to search for his previous path, and then, following his heart, quickly moved toward the huge warehouse where he had been staying.

"Spiritual Awareness Microscopic is actually not a skill at all; it should be a Realm, a Realm that can influence all my skills. When I activate Spiritual Awareness Microscopic, besides various sensory perceptions, even my memory and thinking ability undergo incredible changes... In just an instant, I can find the best route..."

Sure enough, less than ten minutes later, Tang Ku had already found his destination.

The alloy door could not stop Tang Ku's powerful strength, but Tang Ku did not deliberately use violence to break it. On the contrary, within the perspective of Spiritual Awareness Microscopic, he could clearly perceive how to open this door...

There were four keys on the keypad beside the door that were most commonly used, and overlapping fingerprints could be seen on them. Although they had been deliberately cleaned, they were clearly visible within Tang Ku's line of sight. Moreover, through the subtle heat trails left by people previously, Tang Ku could actually discern the order in which the password was entered.

Following his heart, he pressed the six-digit password, and the alloy door before him suddenly swung open. Tang Ku walked in calmly, as if all of this was only natural.

Not far opposite, a large group of people remained in a dazed state, standing there motionless, just like robots arranged in neat rows.

And among them, one was none other than Di Renjie, who had been captured along with Tang Ku.

...

In the main control room, Francis watched as Tang Ku walked step by step into this storage warehouse. The corners of his mouth finally curled into an arc: "Heh heh, come, come. Zero will tell you what true terror is... Hmm, perhaps those watching will feel terror, but you might be killed before you even have the emotion of terror... Heh heh heh heh heh..."

Francis was very satisfied with his Zero creation, or rather, he could no longer find an experimental subject more satisfying to him than him.

He had absolute confidence in Zero's strength.

However, after walking a few steps forward, Tang Ku suddenly stopped moving and then looked up. Francis suddenly felt his scalp tingle because the direction Tang Ku was looking was exactly the direction of the camera, and Francis felt at that moment that Tang Ku seemed to be able to see his existence through the camera.

"Hey, I've been standing here for a while now. Isn't your friend going to make a move yet?"

Tang Ku revealed a playful smile, causing Francis's breath to hitch suddenly. He said incredulously, "He... he discovered it? But... how is this possible?"

Zero's greatest strength was his concealment ability. Like a Dragon, he hid his tracks, and could even freely control his movement rhythm and breathing.

Hidden in the darkness, like a chameleon, his figure was completely invisible, and his aura could not be felt at all, waiting at any moment to deliver a fatal blow to his prey.

"Swish!"

Just at the moment when Francis felt fear before Tang Ku did, a flash of bright, snowy blade light flickered in the darkness, heading straight for Tang Ku's throat.

Tang Ku was slightly surprised because although he felt someone nearby, he had not discovered the opponent's specific location.

The clothes on his chest were torn instantly. Tang Ku's figure retreated slightly, and a strong sense of collision came from the muscles on his chest. Although it did not cause any major damage, it was enough to make Tang Ku feel surprised.

From the darkness, a plain-looking man wearing a black tight-fitting combat suit slowly walked out. His right hand trembled slightly; his five fingers did not look like a human's at all, but rather like the claws of a beast. Moreover, the fingertips of these five fingers were as sharp as razor blades and even shimmered with a metallic luster. If one looked closely, these five fingers were actually somewhat similar to a Dragon's sharp tail.

Forcing himself to control his fingers, the palm instantly underwent some kind of reaction that Tang Ku did not know, changing back into the appearance of a human palm. However, the opponent did not continue to attack, but instead, dangerous light flickered in his eyes, as if he were observing something.

Tang Ku felt creeped out by his stare. At the same time, he also felt something different about this guy compared to the other mutated warriors.

All the previously parasitized bodies had, without exception, lost their own souls. Because although the Dragon did not have powerful Mental Energy, due to its nature of violating the natural laws of the Universe, it could completely devour the other party's soul to strengthen its own flesh. Therefore, at the first moment of parasitism, these larval Dragons were not aiming to seize the other party's body, but to devour their soul.

The reason Tang Ku could kill those people earlier with peace of mind was because they had long since ceased to have souls; they were just empty shells, the kind that acted entirely according to the mechanical instincts of the flesh. Killing such a body meant there was no need to worry about creating evil karma. Plus, due to the Dragon within their bodies, killing them was instead a way to let their bodies find release, which could also be considered eliminating harm for the people and for the Universe.

But this guy in front of him was completely different.

Tang Ku could see at a glance that this guy's soul was actually intact, only it had been suppressed for some reason.

And even more strangely, looking with the Void Eye, the larval Dragon within his body seemed to have died and was slowly decomposing and undergoing Fusion, completely merging into this person's body.

"This is the true reverse parasitism. Perhaps because his Physique is special, the Dragon could not devour his soul but was instead devoured by his body. Therefore, his body would undergo some strange changes, with some parts becoming like a Dragon, such as powerful concealment ability, powerful attack power, and unparalleled attack speed, and he can still retain human thinking ability. Plus, after he underwent Fusion with the Dragon, it is very likely that he also has some kind of evolutionary ability..."

Tang Ku couldn't help but smile, "I understand now. So those so-called parasitic warriors were all defective products. Only you... are the truly successful experimental subject!"
