95: Eat candy

Time rewound a few hours earlier.

Under everyone's direction, Zun Zun arrived at the Great Thunderclap Temple in the Spirit Mountain Holy Land at the first opportunity.

“Sigh…”

Looking at the Great Thunderclap Temple, which had no signs of life left, Tang Ku couldn't help but sigh. Then, Zun Zun opened a passage, and everyone exited the shuttle.

“Holy Monk, why are we coming back?”

Nezha asked, puzzled, “Although the Old Bull isn’t a celestial, immortal, or Buddha, he’s currently our companion. Isn’t it a bit bad to just abandon him?”

Tang Ku smiled without answering, but Yang Jian smiled at Nezha and said, “Don’t worry, that bull is sturdy; he won’t die so easily!”

Wu Zhen, who was nearby, seemed to understand the implied meaning and couldn't help but ask Tang Ku, “Master, are you perhaps at odds with that Bull Demon King, so you intentionally let him suffer a bit?”

Tang Ku quickly covered her mouth and said, “You can eat whatever you want, but you can’t talk nonsense. Who said we were at odds with him?”

“Wuwuwu… Oh, I get it…” Wu Zhen pulled Tang Ku’s hand away and said, annoyed, “Then why are you dragging your feet and unwilling to rescue him?”

“We gathered here to do something important, something that could even be said to be for the entire Three Realms!” Yang Jian explained with a smile, “Bull Demon King was originally our ally, but during the battle, he got distracted because his woman was captured, and then he actually abandoned us to rescue his wife… To be fair, this is understandable, as our relationship wasn't very good, and we were even enemies once. But from a broader perspective, his action undoubtedly put our team in trouble…”

“Therefore, we must let him understand the importance of teamwork!”

Tang Ku said, “We still have to rescue him, but definitely not now. Let him suffer a bit, and he will understand the principle that a single tree cannot stand alone. Cooperation benefits both, division harms both. Without team spirit, only caring for oneself, not only will his own goals not be achieved, but it might even cause everyone else to suffer and take the blame!”

“Then aren’t you worried he’ll die at the enemy’s hands?” Wu Zhen couldn't help but ask, puzzled.

“Your Comprehension Ability is quite high, so why are you so foolish now?” Tang Ku pouted and said, “Do you think the enemy led him away just to kill him? They could have sent a stronger expert to kill him directly and then take him away. Why bother tricking him away?”

“The enemy must have a purpose, perhaps even designs on Bull Demon King or Princess Iron Fan!” Nezha’s eyes lit up, “So, Bull Demon King won’t be in danger for now!”

“Exactly, and with that bull’s abilities, ordinary demons and monsters can’t be his match!”

Yang Jian smiled and said, “Even if the opponent is incredibly powerful and the Old Bull can’t defeat him, then even if we went now, it would be useless, because if he can’t beat them, then we wouldn’t be their match either!”

Wu Zhen suddenly realized, “Then what are we doing in this godforsaken place?”

“Godforsaken?”

Tang Ku covered her mouth again and said, “Hush, hush, my little ancestor, this is Spirit Mountain, the place where all Buddhas preach. As a Disciple of Buddhism, that is a great disrespect!”

“Wuwuwu… Ah… Hey, bald Master, isn’t this a godforsaken place? And disrespectful? I’ll be disrespectful then, can you make these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas jump out and beat me up?” Wu Zhen pried the monk's hand away and said angrily, “If you cover my mouth again, I’ll bite you!”

Tang Ku was speechless, tears streaming down his face as he looked up at the sky: “What a sin!”

“Heh heh, even the Holy Monk has a time for being dramatic!”

Yang Jian said, “Alright, I probably know what you’re here for. Without further ado, once things here are done, we’ll go rescue them!”

Nezha and Wu Zhen were still confused, but when they saw the huge Dragon-shaped skeleton in the Hua Long Pond, Nezha understood a bit, but Wu Zhen was still completely bewildered.

Tang Ku looked at the pool of blood. There was no putrid smell, but it exuded a strong scent of blood and a faint Spiritual Qi.

“Come…”

With a wave of his large sleeve, a humanoid phantom appeared before them, staring blankly at the skeleton before it.

“Alas, does it not even recognize itself?”

Tang Ku gently patted with his right hand, and a faint Buddha Power enveloped the soul, slowly sending it to the head of the skeleton. The soul seemed to be drawn by some kind of summons, and after floating nearby, it actually actively circled the skull twice before directly plunging into the skull.

“Master, who is this…?” Wu Zhen looked at the soul’s handsome, crying face and asked with a hint of infatuation.

“This is your Senior Brother. During the journey to the West to retrieve scriptures, he once served as my mount, carrying me all the way west. He can be said to have rendered great service, but unexpectedly, he ended up in this state!”

Tang Ku said.

The skeleton at this moment had begun to emit a faint golden light and started to vibrate slowly.

Then, with a series of crackling bone sounds, the huge Dragon head suddenly lifted, and from where its eyes should have been, two beams of light, like flashlights, burst forth, only these lights were dozens, even hundreds of times brighter than a flashlight.

“Roar!”

What is a Dragon roar? This was a Dragon roar, only the sound, with the skull Dragon head’s mouth wide open, seemed exceptionally terrifying and eerie.

The blood in the pool boiled as if it had come to a rolling boil, and steam filled the entire Hua Long Pond. Then, the blood continuously surged up, enveloping the huge Dragon bones.

The moment the viscous blood touched the Dragon bones, it began to generate flesh and blood, from tendons to blood vessels, then to all organs and skin, and finally to Dragon scales. A complete white giant Dragon suddenly appeared before them.

Its pupils suddenly opened, golden light shot out in all directions, and Buddha Power instantly filled the entire hall.

“What strong Buddha Qi! How can Ao Lie, as an aquatic creature, have such dense Buddha Power on him?” Yang Jian asked in shock.

“I remember now!”

Tang Ku said, “When something happened in Spirit Mountain back then, our Master and Disciples were just being conferred titles, and then something went wrong. Speaking of which, at that time, Ao Lie had already been conferred the title of Eightfold Heavenly Dragon Guangli Bodhisattva by the Buddha! It seems we will be able to see a fully intact, complete version of Little White Dragon… This is a good sign, indicating that everyone we’ve encountered might have a chance to be saved!”

Yang Jian and Nezha were also full of pleasant surprise, only Wu Zhen stared at the majestic giant Dragon with an infatuated expression, her eyes full of little stars.

Finally, after a roar, the white Dragon suddenly rotated its body, and a handsome man suddenly appeared before them, dressed in a white robe, with a dignified and strikingly handsome appearance.

“Mas… Master…”

Little White Dragon looked at Tang Ku with a bewildered expression. Tang Ku walked forward excitedly, clasped his hands together, and said, “Good Disciple, your Master has finally brought you back to life. How do you… how do you feel? Is there anything uncomfortable?”

“Mas… Master…” Ao Lie looked at Tang Ku, pouted, and then suddenly burst into tears, “Master… I’m hungry… I want candy!”
