6: Bull head
“I actually really want to help you all find peace, I really do!” Tang Ku spread his hands, “But you might not know, the Western Paradise Buddhas have already perished, and even the Netherworld, who knows what state it’s in now. Perhaps the Yin Gods of the Netherworld have also… Speaking of which, until I find a way, you can only remain as wandering spirits!”
“Great Master…”
Liu Quan hesitated, wanting to speak but holding back.
“You want me to help you find your wife, Li Cuilian?”
Tang Ku instantly understood his meaning. Everyone in the household was present, except for the mistress.
Liu Quan nodded.
“It’s a blessing that you’re confined here!”
Tang Ku said, “If you were outside, it would be hard to guarantee you wouldn’t harm people. I promise, as long as you behave yourselves, I won’t subdue you, and I’ll help you find your wife’s whereabouts!”
Liu Quan was immensely grateful, bowing deeply. Tang Ku smiled helplessly and waved his sleeve, leaving the residence.
He looked at the dense, black-mist-like Demonic Qi and ghostly Qi outside, and couldn't help but sneer, chanting a Buddha name and revealing his Dharmakaya!
That’s right, a Disciple of the Buddhist Realm has their own body, and an additional Incarnation outside the body, called the Dharmakaya. This thing will naturally appear as long as you achieve enlightenment!
For example, Tang Sanzang is his original body, and Buddha of Sandalwood Merit is his Dharmakaya.
Swish!
A Dharmakaya, eighteen feet tall, radiating golden Buddha Power, suddenly appeared behind him, instantly illuminating the entire night sky.
This Dharmakaya wore a jinlan kasaya, had a compassionate face, held the demon-subduing mudra in his right hand, and the fear-dispelling mudra in his left. Golden Buddha Power radiated outwards in a semicircle, dispelling all gloom in its path. Amidst the wailing of ghosts, evil beings instantly retreated far away.
Tang Ku flew up, and the Dharmakaya followed closely. After moving several dozen steps forward, the range of the Buddha Power became even wider, already having a radius of several hundred feet.
“Hey, isn’t there anyone in charge among you? Making such a ruckus, and you don’t dare to come out and confront this Poor Monk?”
Tang Ku snorted coldly at the constantly retreating black mist in the distance.
“Wah-ya-ya-ya, where did this wild monk come from, to be so arrogant? This is truly outrageous!”
Bang!
The dense mist suddenly exploded, and a large ghost, entirely black and blue, with a blue face, fangs, and a single horn on its head, leaped out! This fellow held a steel blade and, without a word, charged towards Tang Ku.
However, Tang Ku didn't even look at him, because he knew that such a weak thing couldn't even Breakthrough the Buddha Power outside the Dharmakaya.
As expected, as soon as that fellow crossed the boundary of the Buddha Power on the ground, flames instantly ignited on his body. By the time he realized he wanted to retreat, it was already too late!
“Ah!” With a scream, he turned to ashes, disappearing without a trace.
Tang Ku looked up at the sky, and suddenly smiled, saying, “What, you’re just using this kind of thing to test me? Or are you afraid to come out?”
“The Western Buddhist Realm has been annihilated, and even Ksitigarbha has vanished into thin air. Where did you, this Buddha, come from?”
In mid-air, the dense mist suddenly swirled, and a Yin God holding a steel fork, with a red ox head, slowly emerged, staring at Tang Ku with a pair of ox eyes.
Tang Ku met his gaze, then suddenly curled his lips and said, “Someone still likes the ox-head style? Heh heh, since this image has appeared here, and what you said about Ksitigarbha… it seems the Netherworld has also completely fallen!”
“Indeed, the Netherworld has completely lost its autonomy. All the Yin Soldiers and Yin Gods have been completely annihilated by my master, but the form of this Yin God is quite to my liking, so I have taken it for my own use… Quickly, tell me, where exactly did you, this Buddha, come from?”
The Ox-Head landed, and its height was actually the same as Tang Ku's eighteen-foot Golden Immortal body. Its body exuded chilling ghostly Qi, and its presence was astonishing.
“I came from the Great Thunderclap Temple in the Western Paradise, and I am the only Buddha who survived from your master’s hands!” Tang Ku slowly floated up, meeting the gaze of the enormous head. He really wasn't used to looking up at people, because it made him feel very uncomfortable.
“My master’s calculations are flawless; it’s impossible for any survivor to remain. You must have hidden somewhere in advance and weren’t on Spirit Mountain!” The Ox-Head sneered, “You don’t seem like someone with high power, how could you have survived by your own strength!”
“When did I say I survived on my own?” Tang Ku pretended to be cautious and said, “Let me tell you a secret, I have help!”
The Ox-Head sneered: “I won’t fall for your trick, hmph. Since there’s a fish that slipped through the net, I’ll eliminate you for my master!”
This fellow looked bulky, but his movements were surprisingly fast. He raised his steel fork and instantly swept it horizontally towards him.
The steel fork was enormous, almost as thick as half his body, but Tang Ku didn't dodge or evade. He just smiled slightly. The steel fork slammed hard into Tang Ku, and a visible shockwave suddenly exploded. The Ox-Head's massive body was suddenly bounced back, his hands numb from the impact.
The System displayed the opponent’s power: Intellect 8, Strength 9, Skill 10, Agility 8, Speed 7, Defense 10!
“With your power, you think you’re worthy of fighting me? You and that winged fellow are on the same level. If he hadn’t self-destructed, I could have beaten his brains out!”
Tang Ku chuckled coldly.
“What? Skylark self-destructed? What nonsense are you spouting? Skylark’s overall power is on par with mine, how could he self-destruct?”
The Ox-Head roared loudly, two streams of steam-like Qi spray out of his nose.
“Forget it, with your intelligence, you probably can’t understand! If I don’t beat you into submission, you’ll probably never know who’s in charge!”
The Ox-Head couldn't see his shadow, but only felt a blur before his eyes, and a heavy blow had already landed on his face. His massive body suddenly fell backward, intense pain spreading throughout his facial nerves, making his ox face visibly swell!
“Damn little runt!”
The Ox-Head instantly became enraged, his nostrils suddenly widening to a degree that a person could fit inside. Then, with a snort, a stream of green Qi suddenly enveloped Tang Ku.
“This thing, if you can’t win, you use poison? Hmm, no… ”
Tang Ku instantly felt something was wrong. When the green Qi enveloped him, it made him feel as if his Primordial Spirit was about to leave his body and drift away.
“Exhalation? Ox-Head and Horse-Face can do this?”
But then he instantly understood. Both of their jobs were related to souls, so it was understandable if they had some hidden skills.
Generally speaking, very few people are immune to Exhalation. Even a Grand Unity Golden Immortal, if hit, would have their soul temporarily leave their body for a moment. Even ordinary Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, if unprepared, would experience a momentary lapse of consciousness.
However, his eighteen-foot Golden Immortal body was not just for show. Seeing the green Qi pressing towards Tang Ku, the Golden Immortal withdrew his mudra, and his hands suddenly clapped together like a clap.
Bang!
Pure Buddha Power, carried by the force of the clapping palms, instantly tore the Exhalation into shreds. And Tang Ku, seizing the moment of the Ox-Head's daze, reappeared beside him and punched him on the other cheek!
