76: The gap in combat experience

What kind of character is Horus?

In Egyptian mythology, his father, the Underworld King Osiris, and Set were biological brothers.

Because Set coveted his brother's wife, Osiris was cut into fourteen pieces by his brother.

Fortunately, his wife, the Goddess of Life Isis, was a formidable character; she reassembled his fragmented body and resurrected him with her magical power.

However, only thirteen fragments were found, because his 'thing' had been eaten by a fish.

That is to say, the resurrected Osiris had no little 'thing'.

Legend has it that Isis wrapped him in a shroud, creating the first mummy in history, and resurrected him for one night, then they made love, and finally, Horus was born.

Later, Horus found various Magic Treasures, and finally defeated his uncle, avenging his 'unscrupulous' father.

These stories are recorded in Egyptian mythology.

What Tang Ku didn't understand when he first read this story was why one could still have children after losing that 'thing'.

Later, considering the 'virtues' of the Egyptian gods, he understood...

Horus was actually just an excuse Isis used to 'cuckold' Osiris.

Thinking about it carefully, perhaps his real father might actually be his uncle Set, and it should have been Set who truly coveted someone else's wife.

And Isis fabricated this lie just to make her son kill his own father with his own hands.

As melodramatic as it sounds, upon closer inspection, this line of reasoning is actually a relatively reasonable explanation.

Of course, Nezha was completely unaware of all this.

He had long since been enraged by this Egyptian True God, and all his Magic Treasures were thrown at Horus without reservation.

As a Greece deity, Horus still possessed some capabilities.

Just his incredibly sturdy physique alone made him stand out.

But encountering Nezha, who was almost immortal as a Lotus Incarnation, was like running into a steel plate.

The Mixed Heaven Ribbon unfolded.

After being struck by a Gold Brick, Horus, in a dazed state, was bound tightly.

Immediately following, the Fire Tipped Spear directly pierced two transparent holes in his waist.

Subsequently, the Universe Ring and Gold Brick mercilessly smashed down on his body.

Horus's bones cracked and shattered into pieces from the impact.

Just as he managed to recover with his powerful regeneration, the Yin and Yang Sword had already struck down, severing both of his arms and legs, turning him into a human stick.

By this time, Horus had woken up from the pain, but before he could control his body and regrow his arms and legs, he suddenly felt a shadow overhead, and he had already been trapped inside a giant pagoda.

By the time his arms and legs regrew, he was already confined to the first floor of the pagoda.

"Ahhh!"

Horus was furious to the point of madness.

With a thought, the weapons that had fallen outside returned to his hands, and he began to mercilessly hack and slash at the surrounding walls.

However, how could the Pagoda of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li Jing be so easily broken?

His attacks, apart from generating countless sparks, had no effect whatsoever.

Nezha watched him go mad and couldn't help but sneer.

He took off his Wind Fire Wheels, placing one at the base of the pagoda and one at the top, then recited a spell.

The Samadhi True Fire erupted fiercely, enveloping the entire Exquisite Pagoda.

The Exquisite Pagoda was a Magic Treasure given to Li Jing by Daoist Randeng to curb Nezha's murderous tendencies.

It could inherently release Samadhi True Fire to roast those imprisoned within.

However, Nezha had long ago secretly learned the spells for capturing and releasing people from this pagoda, with the aim of no longer being suppressed.

But he had never learned the art of setting fires.

Nevertheless, with the Wind Fire Wheels, the effect was similar.

Horus screamed repeatedly inside the pagoda, angrily shouting, "You beast, you scoundrel, if you have the guts, let me out to fight... What kind of skill is it to harm people with Magic Treasures? Let me out, let me out!"

"Heh heh, this isn't when you were bullying me with your strange weapons, is it?" Nezha said disdainfully.

"My Magic Treasures aren't even used up yet.

If you're not roasted thoroughly in a bit, I still have a few tortures waiting for you here!"

Horus finally fell silent, then endured the scorching heat of the Samadhi True Fire and said, "Then how about we both don't use Magic Treasures, and simply decide the victor with martial prowess?

Or... are you scared?"

"Scared?"

Nezha was furious.

"This young master has never known the meaning of fear since birth!"

With a single incantation, the Exquisite Pagoda suddenly vanished, and Horus finally appeared on the ground.

At this moment, the feathers on his head were all scorched and falling off in pieces, quickly turning him into a bald vulture's head, looking as disheveled as possible.

However, fine downy feathers were growing little by little, indicating that his recovery ability was indeed very strong.

"The people of your world, your Magic Treasures are the strongest.

Your level of Cultivation is simply no match for ours!"

Horus took out his scepter and iron hook, placed them together, and recited a spell.

The weapons instantly transformed into a strange object resembling a hook-scythe or a scythe.

Then he said coldly, "With one move, I will separate your head from your body!"

Nezha pouted, holding the Fire Tipped Spear loosely in his hand, and said impatiently, "Stop with the nonsense, come on, come on.

Although this young master's martial arts are a bit rusty, dealing with some feathered beasts is still a piece of cake!"

Behind Horus, a pair of energy wings, composed of countless rays of light, suddenly spread open.

Then, his body accelerated and he rushed towards Nezha.

Nezha's pupils contracted, and there was no longer any disdain in his eyes, but rather a look of approval.

He could see that the weapon in this fellow's hand, apart from being sharp, was not very useful.

And these light wings, in fact, should be a type of Divine Ability.

And Divine Ability is not that easy to Cultivate successfully; it requires a great deal of time and effort, as well as a strong will, to master.

This indicates that Horus was indeed an excellent warrior, possessing both talent and diligence.

Horus's speed was more than ten times faster than before, reaching Nezha almost instantly.

But Nezha remained unhurried.

He effortlessly twirled his Fire Tipped Spear, and with a slight tremor of the spear shaft, easily deflected the weapon in Horus's hand.

Immediately following, with immense power, it directly struck Horus's chest.

The armor was effortlessly pierced as if it were made of paper, and Horus was directly run through.

Horus's weapon grazed past Nezha's ear, only cutting off a few strands of hair.

Blood gushed from the hole in his chest, but it was instantly vaporized by the Fire Tipped Spear, turning into a faint pink mist that slowly disappeared.

Horus's weakness was his heart; Nezha had figured this out after fighting him for so long.

After all, no one would idly use such thick chest armor to restrict their mobility.

"Don't be unwilling, this young master has experienced countless battles on the battlefield and possesses incredibly rich experience, which is how I cultivated these fiery golden eyes.

How many years have you been fighting, kid?" Nezha rambled on.

"However, you are quite brave.

Among the countless strong individuals I've met, you are certainly a formidable one.

If it weren't for our differing factions, perhaps we could even become friends!

Maybe in the next life, if you can Reincarnate into this world."

There was no pain on Horus's face; he just smiled, shaking his head helplessly: "We have no next life!"

Bang!

His entire body instantly exploded into a cloud of blood mist, disappearing without a trace.

There was no longer any trace of Horus in the world!
