270: The annoying monk

Honestly, Mahoraga didn't take this tiny Mortal before him seriously at all.

In fact, given his power, he shouldn't take any Mortals seriously!

Therefore, in his view, that thrown Painted Halberd was nothing more than a child's toy.

However, as soon as General Xue Rengui made his move, Mahoraga sensed something was wrong, but it was already too late!

Because he was charging head-on, his own speed was extremely fast. Coupled with General Xue Rengui's immense strength, the thrown Painted Halberd had great force and was also top-tier in speed.

The two accelerations combined instantly, turning this Painted Halberd into something like a shoulder-fired heavy weapon, like a rocket launcher!

Boom!

"Roar!"

The intense pain made Mahoraga roar wildly. His massive body was actually forced to a stop, and his long neck was gouged by the tip of the Painted Halberd, leaving a fist-sized wound from which silvery-white blood involuntarily flowed.

Although the injury wasn't serious, it at least halted his momentum, and the next moment, Nezha's fist landed heavily on him.

Nezha's own strength was not small; while incomparable to Tang Ku, it was still stronger than General Xue Rengui's. Thus, this punch landed on the snake's head, instantly making Mahoraga feel dizzy.

Subsequently, Nezha brought out the Gold Brick again. Truth be told, if he had used his full strength, he could have broken through Mahoraga's thick scale defense with just the Fire Tipped Spear alone. But he was a hothead by nature, and his reputation as a rebel wasn't for nothing. He seemed determined to beat this giant snake to death with the Gold Brick, aiming directly at the snake's head and swinging wildly.

Boom, boom, boom, boom...

The giant snake swayed left and right, never falling down. The intense pain instead caused him to lose his sanity and become even more violent.

Nezha rode on the snake's back, hitting the snake's head with the Gold Brick, one hit to the left and one to the right. If the giant snake tried to flee toward the county town, he would tighten the Universe Ring to choke the giant snake.

Although Mahoraga had completely lost his sanity, his instinct to avoid harm remained. So, whenever he felt uncomfortable, he would immediately run in another direction, in short, he was locked in a struggle with Nezha.

"Fine, both of these guys are as stubborn as mules, stubborn to the point of being inhuman... Well, that big snake isn't human anyway, but why is Nezha also bickering with a beast..."

Tang Ku approached and couldn't help but sigh, "It still has to be me, the Poor Monk..."

A massive phantom appeared behind him, and Tang Ku revealed his Buddha Dharma manifestation. Within the huge Guangdu Xin Buddha image, Tang Ku shouted softly, "Third Prince, please retreat to avoid accidental injury!"

Nezha's reaction speed was very fast; he withdrew all his Magic Treasures and flashed into the sky. The Guangdu Xin Buddha's manifestation had already extended a huge fist, the Great Wilderness Divine Fist's Earth-Restraining Strike, smashing fiercely onto the snake's head!

Boom!

The giant snake slammed into the dust, its large head driven five or six meters deep into the ground. The power of that punch made the earth tremble, and the violent shockwave spread, blowing so hard that people couldn't open their eyes.

Mahoraga really couldn't hold on this time. Before passing out, he finally understood that when this monk was fighting him earlier, he hadn't used his full strength at all.

"Damn it, if you had used this move earlier, wouldn't I have surrendered?"

This was the last exclamation Mahoraga made before fainting.

"Not much skill, but the trouble caused is not small..."

Tang Ku curled his lip and turned back to say to Nezha, "Third Prince, use your Human-Kind Bag to take this guy away. I have something else to do back there..."

Nezha couldn't help but ask curiously, "After dealing with this culprit, what else is worth you going back for?"

"I have to go find some clothes to wear..."

Tang Ku curled his lip, flew up, and disappeared without a trace. Only then did Nezha realize that this Holy Monk was actually streaking.

...

On Mount Tai, a monk in coarse hemp clothing, looking somewhat tattered, shuffled along in a pair of monk shoes, stepping up the stairs one by one.

Suddenly, he turned his head sharply, looking toward Qingzhou, frowning slightly, and then couldn't help but reveal a wry smile: "Sigh, Senior Brother Golden Cicada has won again..."

"He won, aren't you happy?"

A figure appeared on the stone steps not far away; it was that male Guanyin who had had contact with Tang Ku.

"Hehe, the two of us are close friends, I am genuinely happy that he won!" The monk smiled. "On the contrary, Bodhisattva, you might be unhappy!"

"Dragon Subduing Arhat is joking!"

Guanyin narrowed her eyes and said, "That Mahoraga is not my person, and his actions were not instructed by me. It is fine if he wins, but if he loses, it is his own fault, and has nothing to do with others!"

"Is that so?"

Dragon Subduing Arhat chuckled, "Even if there was no instruction, it was your intentional indulgence. Did you, Bodhisattva, not see his actions?"

"I saw them; actually, he did quite well!"

Guanyin smiled and did not continue speaking.

Dragon Subduing Arhat frowned: "Indulging his followers to occupy farmland, burn, kill, loot, and violate women, is this also considered doing well?"

"Controlling clouds and rain, resolving the crisis of drought, and saving people from fire and water, is this Karma not enough to offset his minor evils?"

Guanyin remained as calm and composed as ever, with a smile on her face.

"Hehe, if you say so, then so be it!"

Dragon Subduing Arhat sneered, "In my view, doing good cannot remove evil, and doing good cannot atone for sins! The good must be rewarded, and the evil must be punished. The Heavenly Dao is clear, and retribution is certain; this is the Righteous Path!"

"Oh, then you will be disappointed!" Guanyin chuckled, "I have nothing to reward, nor can I rush over to punish him!"

Dragon Subduing Arhat gave a playful smile: "And you still say he is not your subordinate?"

This time it was Guanyin's turn to frown. She couldn't help but say coldly: "Is playing word games very interesting?"

"Isn't the ultimate truth of Buddha Dharma just word games and deception?" Dragon Subduing Arhat waved his hand. "Once exposed, it's not worth mentioning!"

"Do you really think I dare not kill you?"

A thick Killing Intent spilled out from Guanyin. Who could have imagined that the compassionate Guanyin would have such powerful Killing Intent?

"Stop messing around, you won't touch a hair on my head!"

Dragon Subduing Arhat was fearless and confident, finding a rock to lie down on, looking at the sky.

"You tipped that guy off; why do you think I won't kill you?"

Guanyin had already raised her right palm, as if raising a butcher's knife.

"Of course you want to kill me, but you won't touch me."

Dragon Subduing Arhat said, "Among the Arhats, my Buddha Power is the most profound, and my magical power is the strongest. If you kill me, your plan will likely fail, and besides..."

He turned his head and glanced at her dismissively, chuckling, "Besides, you're not the only one in this world with secrets... To kill me, you would have to pay a considerable price to succeed. You, who are always cautious and plan before you act, how could you kill me without being certain?"

Guanyin sighed helplessly, lowered her right hand, and the Killing Intent on her body vanished instantly, as if it had never appeared: "You... are as annoying as he is!"
