516: Supernatural

"This is a form of mind control, right?"

Tang Ku frowned slightly, "If we let these guys keep attacking, it'll be a disaster... Sun Wukong will kill them all..."

Bang!

Tang Ku stomped his foot violently and soared into the air, charging toward Tesla like a cannonball.

However, clouds of Yin soldiers soon swarmed up, blocking Tang Ku's path.

Tang Ku pulled back his extended fist, flipped, and landed on the ground. He turned to look at the monkey, who was thoroughly enjoying the slaughter, and said, "Wukong, don't kill them. Otherwise, the entire Underworld will have no Yin soldiers left to use!"

The monkey gave a sudden start. He immediately realized that only about two-thirds of the Yin soldiers surrounding him remained. A rough estimate suggested he had beaten at least ten thousand of them to death with his staff.

Although Yin soldiers weren't great deities, they were at least officially registered. If Sun Wukong killed them all, and the Underworld were to restore order in the future, there truly wouldn't be a single soldier left to use!

Sun Wukong hesitated for a moment, and suddenly, a massive mountain-splitting axe struck his head. The blow sent sparks flying everywhere, and the axe blade itself chipped in countless places.

"Damn it, you got guts, try swinging that axe again?" The monkey was furious, pointing his staff at the leader's head.

"Great Sage, Great Sage, don't blame me, it's not my fault! It's them, they're controlling my actions... I don't want to do this either... Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't dare... Please spare us, spare us... We truly... we can't resist!"

The guy was crying with snot and tears streaming down his face; it was truly a heartbreaking sight for anyone who heard or saw him. Tang Ku clicked his tongue and said, "This is troublesome... The way out is blocked. If we don't hurt them, we basically can't get through. But if we inflict too many casualties, it goes against our original intention, and it will cause a shift in the entire structure of the Underworld..."

Sun Wukong's heart was filled with raging fury, but he wasn't someone who didn't understand the big picture. He simply planted his staff on the ground and said defiantly, "Come on, come on! If I move even an inch, I'm your grandson..."

Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang...

As soon as he finished speaking, various weapons landed on him. However, his body was even tougher than it had been when he wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace, so how could these Yin soldiers' weapons hurt him? His entire body rang with clanging sounds, and sparks flew everywhere.

Sun Wukong glanced up at the sky from the corner of his eye, his anger intensifying. Gritting his teeth, he said, "Fine, fine, fine. You two bastards, playing with your Grandpa Sun, are you? Fine, laugh all you want. In a while, I'll make sure you can't even cry!"

Clang, clang, clang, clang...

Tang Ku realized that almost all the aggro had been drawn by Sun Wukong; the ones around him were just small fry. So, he simply stood where he was, letting the enemy's swords, spears, halberds, axes, hooks, and forks strike his body, while he secretly pondered a countermeasure.

The situation was a bit chaotic, but it was still easy to sort out.

To put it simply, they were currently in a very awkward position. The Yin soldiers sent by the other side were actually just a group of cannon fodder—they couldn't be fought, couldn't be escaped, and were as sticky as a dog-skin plaster.

He looked up and saw Tesla discussing something with the "demolition expert," while Nobel nodded repeatedly, seemingly in complete agreement with what he was saying.

"I see. It seems they are using these Yin soldiers to test us... No, to be precise, they are testing Sun Wukong's strength... They want to find out what we actually did in Purgatory, so this is an experiment..."

Tang Ku frowned slightly, "If that's the case, then we have no choice but to let Wukong start a massacre..."

However, seemingly seeing through Tang Ku's intention, Ksitigarbha shook his head and said, "Although you can maintain your original heart, it is better to minimize the killing as much as possible, because once you get caught up in it, you will sooner or later lose yourself and become a demon of slaughter..."

Tang Ku couldn't help but turn back and say, "But, Bodhisattva... uh, what are you..."

He swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. Ksitigarbha pressed his palms together, sat cross-legged on the ground, and began to chant scriptures.

That's right, it was just ordinary Sanskrit scripture, but bits of Buddha Power transformed from his body into glowing spots like fireflies, constantly drifting outward and radiating into a wider area around them.

Unlike the cold and gloomy atmosphere here, these specks of Buddha Power appeared very gentle and had a great affinity, as if...

It was as if it were the feeling of thriving in the womb at the beginning of life.

That's right, every life can feel things in the womb, and some creatures even have memories of this period, but these memories have been left behind as they grow, and they just can't remember them at all.

Tang Ku instantly understood Ksitigarbha's intention and couldn't help but smile bitterly, "I see, this is called pulling the firewood from under the cauldron... Wukong, come protect us, just don't let anyone disturb us..."

As he spoke, Tang Ku also sat cross-legged beside Ksitigarbha and began to chant the same scripture... This was a passage from the Great Peacock Sutra, and vibrant vitality continuously bloomed from their throats, allowing every part of the Underworld to hear this Sanskrit chanting.

"Good heavens, are they planning to deliver all the Yin soldiers here?" Sun Wukong had arrived beside the two in the blink of an eye, smacking his lips and saying, "How strong must one's Buddha Power be to deliver tens of thousands of people at once? Are they kidding me?"

Although he was complaining, he didn't hesitate to stand beside Tang Ku and Ksitigarbha. Whenever anyone approached, he would swing his staff and bat them away like he was playing baseball.

"What are they doing? Why do I feel some kind of strange energy fluctuation coming from them, but when I look closely, there isn't any at all..."

Nobel said in a deep voice.

Tesla frowned slightly, "I'm not sure either, but... but it seems I can feel it. It's like he's making some kind of prayer... Hmm, they are enemies, right? As long as it's something the enemy is doing, destroying it is the right thing to do..."

"Fine, then I'll blow them all into dust..."

Hum!

Suddenly opening his hands, two balls of Qi were instantly compressed in his palms, and then, like cannonballs, they were fiercely blasted toward Tang Ku.

The monkey didn't hesitate. The Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand transformed into countless afterimages, actually detonating the two incoming explosive balls of Qi ahead of time.

"Damn you, throw whatever moves you have at me!" The monkey roared furiously, "What kind of hero bullies two half-crippled people!"

Before Tesla could answer, his pupils suddenly constricted, because he saw that more than a dozen or twenty Yin soldiers were glowing with golden light, and he had completely lost control over these twenty-plus people.

"He... was really praying... Praying for these dead ghosts..."

Tesla said, his heart pounding.
