580: Damn it

The Four Sentences of Hengqu, the most famous words of the great Northern Song Dynasty philosopher Zhang Zai!

These four sentences point directly to the heart and mind, representing the ideals and pursuits of scholars throughout history; even many of our revolutionary ancestors in China took them as their motto, which is what led to the prosperous age we enjoy today.

To establish a heart for heaven and earth, to secure the lives of the people, to carry on the lost teachings of past sages, and to establish peace for all generations!

These words were deafening, leaving the Confucian Disciples present stunned, and immediately, ninety-nine percent of them had a great awakening, kowtowing respectfully to Tang Ku.

They now worshiped Tang Ku almost as if he were a great sage of the Confucian school!

These four concise sentences covered almost all the ultimate goals of scholarship, and anyone who had read books could understand their meaning!

When Tang Ku spoke, Compassionate Guanyin already had a bad premonition.

He had once undergone Reincarnation on the Earth of the primitive Universe, moving step by step from his student days to the level of an intellectual, so he was more than familiar with this quote from Zhang Zai.

Such a lofty ideal—the Confucian school has it, but does my Buddhist school not?

Taiyi Relief-from-Suffering Heavenly Lord was stunned for a long time before finally sighing helplessly: "Tang Sanzang... no wonder you have become the public enemy of the Three Realms... Your mouth truly can talk the dead back to life..."

He already knew that no matter how much he argued, the only ones truly capable of contributing to this world now were the Confucians!

The actions of the Buddhist and Daoist schools were selfish to the extreme, so how could there be any necessity for their existence?

Tang Ku was striking at their hearts; before they could fully react, he sneered again: "Buddhist school, in order to rise again, you thought of the method of Reincarnation, didn't you? Can you count how many Opportunities of original reincarnators you have cut off? This act can truly be called extremely selfish. And you, Daoist school... Heh, do I need to say more? Possession?"

This is such a niche term in the Heavenly Court; one must know that only those fierce and cruel demons would use such a tactic... Furthermore, some of you acted out of personal vendettas, actually killing an entire country's worth of people... Heh, do you want me to tell the story of the Women's Kingdom of Xiliang in full detail?

Heh, Jidu Star Lord, do you need me to chat with everyone in public about what your Master, Gouchen the Great Emperor, once ordered you to do? All of your actions... powerfully prove that there is no need for your existence in this world!"

They felt guilty... Tang Ku's retort left them with almost nowhere to hide. His words were equivalent to exposing all their secrets. If this were to spread, it would inevitably have a huge impact on the reputation of both factions.

And damage to their reputation was a minor matter; the truly terrifying thing was... Luck!

If their calculations were correct, from this day forth, at least half of the Luck in the world would flow directly to the Confucian school. From now on, the Confucian school would be the number one sect in the world, without exception.

On the side of the Immortal Realm, some were already considering whether to silence everyone present.

But they also knew that this was almost impossible. Not to mention the thousands of Cultivators gathered here who would be hard to wipe out, even if they had the ability to kill all the ordinary Cultivators, Tang Ku's Disciples were not to be trifled with.

The experts from the Buddhist and Immortal factions had long since realized that although these dozen or so people were few in number, every single one of them was a Master who had mastered the power of Law.

It would be fine if their power were dispersed, but at this moment, there seemed to be a force linking them together. With over a dozen experts who had mastered the power of Law concentrated and working together, once this force was thrown onto the battlefield, it would be a giant meat grinder. Apart from a limited few among the Immortals and Buddhas, I fear more than seventy percent would be slaughtered by them!"

They could not strike so easily; absolutely not!

Tang Ku seemed to have anticipated this. He said to the Confucian scholars: "Keep these words in your hearts, and your Confucian school will have a day of resurgence... Alright... the time is about right. How much longer will you endure? Don't you hate this punchable face of mine, Poor Monk? We have talked until our mouths are dry; it is time to move around!"

The Confucian scholars bowed to Tang Ku, then stood up and faced the sky. The first scholar who had spoken said: "Listen, you Immortals and Buddhas, the Holy Monk is a great benefactor of our Confucian school. Even though we are no match for you Immortals and Buddhas, if you dare to harm the Holy Monk, we swear that we will definitely expose all the filthy things you have done to the public... I think you must know the consequences of doing that!"

Well, the leaders of the Immortal and Buddhist realms were all stunned because they did not expect that someone would actually make threats against them for the sake of an unrelated monk.

And what was he talking about? What filthy things? Do we have any?

Well, there were indeed some, but weren't we doing it to save the common people of the world?

Seeing their constipated expressions, Tang Ku couldn't help but sneer: "Is this all the backbone you have? Heh, I, Tang Sanzang, have said that today is not just about debating Buddhism and the Dao. Whatever means you have, feel free to use them on this monk. This monk came here today for exactly this reason. I want to use my own strength to beat you all into submission! Whether it is knowledge or wisdom, fists or weapons, whatever you know, I will take it all on!"

"Arrogant... too arrogant, too arrogant!"

Jidu Star Lord, who had suffered a great loss at Tang Ku's hands before, shouted loudly, "Please, Heavenly Lord, make the decision for us! Gouchen the Great Emperor and Luo Hou Star Lord were both, were both by him..."

He wanted to say they were beaten until they vanished into ashes... But if he said that, it would inevitably increase everyone's fear of Tang Sanzang... His power had already reached an incredible Peak, and to deal with him while carrying fear was simply seeking death!

But if he didn't say it, how could he prove the heinous crimes of this monk?

"Heh, you don't need to say anything more!"

Taiyi Relief-from-Suffering Heavenly Lord floated out slowly, "Let this Poor Daoist be your opponent..."

With a gentle wave of his hand, the long sword on his back flew out instantly and hovered beside him. Then, a cyan light suddenly appeared behind him, and a middle-aged man dressed in a cyan robe also appeared there, standing on the left side of his body.

"Heh, a combination of Nine Spirit Yuansheng and Taiyi Relief-from-Suffering Heavenly Lord? To have to face you in the first battle, you really think highly of me!"

Tang Ku clenched his fists and chuckled.

Sun Wukong said excitedly from the side: "Heh, after all that nonsense, it still comes down to fists in the end... Master, screw them! If they don't submit, we'll join forces and beat them into submission!"

Tang Ku waved his hand and said: "You just stay on the sidelines and guard. If they make any move to deal with Mortals, you screw them for me too!"
