127: The boss seems to be glowing.
Instructor Wang said excitedly.
"Lei Jun, your voice was practically made for singing!"
"If you went to the military's song and dance troupe, you'd definitely be the pillar of the group!"
Several instructors from other classes nearby also gathered around. One tall, thin instructor patted Wang Feng's shoulder: "Old Wang, your luck is too good, to actually encounter such a promising talent!"
"This voice is even better than a professional singer's!"
Another dark-skinned instructor stared at her, his eyes full of regret: "Such a good voice, it's such a waste not to go into music!"
"If you have the chance in the future, you must sing more. Don't waste this talent!"
Lin Xiaoya screamed loudly: "Boss, you're too awesome. This singing is way too beautiful, I've got goosebumps all over!"
The students were even more mesmerized as they listened.
"Student Lei Jun, sing another one, it's so good!"
"She sings so well, better than any version I've ever heard."
"Oh my god, how can she be so perfect? Even her singing is this stunning!"
"Is this really a sound a human can make?"
"I was so busy listening just now that I forgot to record it, what a shame!"
When she reached the "Hey! Hey hey!!" part, Lei Jun's voice suddenly soared. Her clear and impassioned vocals pierced the sky, leaving everyone shaken.
The final line, "Wherever I am, wherever I am, there's one two three four..." slowly dissipated in the air, leaving a lingering, endless aftertaste.
The entire playground fell into a brief silence, followed by a burst of thunderous applause.
Instructor Wang Feng cleared his throat, suppressing everyone's discussions: "Alright, alright, everyone quiet down!"
"Student Lei Jun indeed sang well. This round, our class wins!"
As he spoke, he looked at Lei Jun again, his eyes full of admiration: "Lei Jun, from now on, you'll be the lead singer for our class's choruses!"
Lei Jun nodded... After the song competition, military training entered its final stages. The daily training focus shifted to rehearsing the formation parade to prepare for the final military training performance.
The repetitive goose-stepping and formation drills were simple actions but required high coordination. Lei Jun moved her feet mechanically with the team, her heart calm.
For her enhanced body, these synchronized movements posed no difficulty; she just found it a bit boring and only hoped the performance would end sooner.
The evening training sessions, however, became more interesting.
It was no longer tense training, but singing, playing games, and competing with other classes. The atmosphere was as relaxed as a small party.
Lei Jun mostly just stood to the side watching, listening to her classmates' boisterous play. Occasionally, Lin Xiaoya would pull her in to participate, and she would simply cooperate with some basic movements.
What annoyed her most, though, were the mosquitoes during evening training. They swarmed around people in dense clouds, always trying to crawl into collars and sleeves, forcing her to frequently wave her hands to drive them away.
Finally, the day of the military training performance arrived.
Lei Jun's class, with their neat formation and standard movements, took first place without any suspense.
Watching the instructors and students cheering excitedly, Lei Jun also smiled.
Although the process was mundane, she felt satisfied seeing the collective effort bear fruit.
As military training concluded, the freshman orientation gala became the most anticipated event on campus.
Lei Jun didn't specifically prepare a flashy gown; she just chose a simple black backless dance outfit that could highlight her body lines without letting the decorations steal the spotlight from her movements.
On the day of the gala, the backstage was crowded with nervous students rehearsing. Some repeatedly adjusted their singing in front of the mirror, while others gripped their props with sweaty palms. Only Lei Jun stood in a corner, eyes closed, feeling the power within her body.
The tension and relaxation of her muscles were entirely under her control, her joint flexibility was greater than before, and even her breathing could precisely match the upcoming dance rhythm. This sense of absolute control over her body made her feel exceptionally grounded.
"Next program, Lei Jun from the Finance Department, solo dance 'Dance of Nirvana'!"
The host's voice spread throughout the venue via the microphone, instantly causing a stir in the audience.
Lei Jun's stunning performances at the school gate and during military training had already spread across the campus. Many people had come specifically to see her, and at this moment, they all sat up straight, eyes glued to the stage entrance.
The spotlight suddenly lit up, shining on Lei Jun.
She walked slowly to the center of the stage as the music began... It was a melody blending piano and strings, initially low like an undercurrent, gradually becoming impassioned, like the light of dawn piercing the darkness.
Lei Jun took a deep breath and suddenly exerted force. Her first movement made the entire audience hold their breath.
She rose onto her toes, her tips touching the ground like blades, and her body bent backward at an incredible angle, her back lines as smooth as a meticulously carved piece of art.
This was the extremely difficult 'Bending the Waist to Gaze at the Moon' from the 'Dance of Nirvana.' It required immense waist flexibility and core control. Instructor Su Wanqing had once said that even professional dancers would need half a year of practice to achieve such a range.
But for Lei Jun, her limit-enhanced body made this movement exceptionally easy. She could even clearly feel every subtle contraction of her waist muscles, precisely controlling the degree of the bend without the slightest wobble.
Lin Xiaoya's heart skipped a beat in the audience, her mouth hanging open unconsciously.
She knew Lei Jun was going to dance, but she hadn't expected the first move to be so shocking.
"My god... Boss, she..."
She had occasionally seen Lei Jun practicing in the dormitory, but the movements then were nowhere near as impactful as now. Looking at the person on stage, she suddenly felt like Boss was glowing; that confidence and power radiating from her bones made her want to scream.
This was absolutely not a dance an ordinary student could perform!
This sense of power and control made her scalp tingle and gave her goosebumps all over.
Incredible!
The music tempo quickened, and Lei Jun's movements became more rapid.
She consecutively completed three '720-degree mid-air rotations.' Each spin landed precisely in the center of the stage. Her skirt drew beautiful arcs with her movements, and her silver hair rose and fell in the air like a meteor streaking across the night sky.
Upon landing, she lightly tapped her toes, and her body instantly stabilized without the slightest sway... If this were before, even if she remembered the moves, she might not have been able to control her balance after the rotations. But now, even with consecutive spins, she could clearly perceive her center of gravity, firmly rooted on the stage.
Zhao Manba stood up abruptly in the audience, forgetting to wave the glow stick in his hand.
He had formed the Goddess Guard Group before because he felt Lei Jun needed protection, but looking at the person on stage now, he suddenly felt his idea was laughable.
How could such a goddess need protection from others?
She was like a phoenix rising from the flames, every movement filled with power. That aura of total stage control made his heart race and his breathing grow shallow.
