427: Chapter 427 Visit
James led the group along the beach, introducing it as they went: "The quality of the beaches on this island is top-tier among private islands globally. Especially that three-kilometer stretch of private beach ahead; the sand is incredibly fine and is known as 'Flour Sand.' Stepping on it feels just like stepping on flour. I've handled dozens of islands, and there are no more than five such beaches."
They arrived at that stretch of private beach. Just as James had said, the sand was as white as snow and as fine as powder. It felt soft underfoot, almost as if one would sink into it. The seawater was crystal clear, revealing small fish swimming and various colors of coral—red, blue, purple, and yellow—like an underwater garden. Behind the beach was a dense coconut grove, forming a natural green barrier with coconut trees soaring into the clouds, laden with fruit.
"The water visibility here exceeds 40 meters," James said. "It's perfect for snorkeling and diving. The beach slope is gentle; walking out a hundred meters, the water is still less than two meters deep, making it very safe. Further out, the depth gradually increases, and there are rich coral reefs."
Su Ya had already taken off her shoes and was running barefoot across the beach, leaving a trail of footprints. She shouted excitedly, "This sand is so comfortable! It's as fine as flour! It feels so soft to step on, I just want to lie down!"
Su Qing also took off her shoes to feel the texture of the sand, a satisfied smile appearing on her face. She couldn't help but walk a few steps on the beach, feeling the fine sand flow between her toes.
Lei Yue also rarely took off her shoes and stood in the seawater, feeling the cool waves wash over her ankles. Her expression remained calm, but there was a clear look of relaxed pleasure in her eyes. She even bent down to scoop up a handful of seawater, watching it sparkle in the sunlight.
Lei Ying stood on higher ground, observing the surroundings and assessing potential risks. However, her gaze also drifted toward that beautiful beach from time to time, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly.
A'fu ran back and forth on the beach, occasionally stopping to sniff shells or chase small crabs, having the time of his life. Although he was a high-tech product, his design completely simulated the behavior and reactions of a real dog; at this moment, he was just like a truly happy puppy. He even splashed around in the seawater a few times before shaking the water off his body and continuing to run.
Lei Jun stood on the beach, looking at the beautiful scenery, a sense of indescribable satisfaction welling up in her heart. This wasn't about the numbers of wealth or the percentages of shares, but a real, touchable piece of land that could be shaped according to her own will. One island, one world, one kingdom.
James then took them to visit other areas.
The freshwater lake was indeed crystal clear, with the sand, stones, and small swimming fish visible at the bottom. The lake water appeared a pale blue-green, sparkling under the sun. The lakeshore was covered with coconut and mango trees. Some ripe mangoes had fallen to the ground, emitting a sweet fragrance that attracted small birds to peck at them. James mentioned that this lake was the source of fresh water, capable of supplying over 200 tons daily, enough for over a hundred people. It could be consumed after simple filtration; the water quality was excellent and rich in minerals.
The rainforest was thick with trees, and sunlight filtered through the leaves in dappled patterns. Various tropical plants competed for growth: coconut trees, palm trees, mango trees, papaya trees, banana trees, jackfruit trees, breadfruit trees, and some flowering plants whose names were unknown, in vibrant reds, yellows, and purples. Birdsong rose and fell, with occasional sightings of brightly colored parrots flying by and a few monkeys jumping between trees, looking curiously at the strangers.
The existing vacation villas were built halfway up the mountain, overlooking the entire beach and sea area. Six buildings were staggered across the hillside, each with its own private pool and garden. The main building was the largest, with five bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and study. The decor was modern and minimalist, using a lot of wood and stone for a very tropical feel. The other five were slightly smaller, each with two to three bedrooms, suitable for friends or family.
The villas were built ten years ago but were well-maintained and looked brand new. The furniture was made of solid wood, and the sofas were wicker, giving it a real vacation vibe. Each villa had large floor-to-ceiling windows with unbeatable sea views. There were also terraces where one could sit and watch the sunrise and sunset.
The airport runway was indeed only 900 meters long, suitable only for small aircraft. However, there was enough space beside the runway to extend it to 1,200 meters if necessary. Next to the runway was a small hangar that could house two small planes.
The pier conditions were excellent, with sufficient water depth to accommodate yachts under 50 meters. Next to the pier was a boathouse for storing several small speedboats and diving equipment. A small boat was docked in the boathouse, which James said was the island's transportation for fishing or diving trips.
The power system included solar panels, wind turbines, and backup diesel generators, meeting the entire island's electricity needs. James said the current power generation was enough to support the six villas and all facilities; if more power was needed in the future, the solar panels could be expanded.
The freshwater treatment plant could process lake water and rainwater, ensuring an ample supply of fresh water. The treated water was directly drinkable, meeting international standards.
Finally, they climbed the highest hill on the island—which James called "Lookout Mountain." The mountain path was somewhat steep, but the scenery along the way was superb, offering views of the entire island and the surrounding sea. After about twenty minutes of climbing, they finally reached the summit.
Standing at the summit, Lei Jun saw a breathtaking sight—
The entire island was laid out before her eyes: the lush green rainforest, the white beaches, and the blue sea. The three hills rose and fell gracefully, like the pulse of the earth. The seawater around the island showed various shades of blue—light blue near the shore, blue-green a bit further out, and deep blue in the distance, finally merging with the sky at the horizon. A few white clouds drifted in the air, casting moving shadows on the island like the sky's paintbrush.
As the sun set, it dyed the entire island golden, a beauty that was intoxicating. The sun slowly sank below the horizon, and the sky turned from gold to orange, then to purple, and finally to deep blue. Stars began to appear, one or two at first, then more and more, gradually filling the sky.
A'fu stood beside Lei Jun, also looking at the beautiful scenery and letting out a soft "woof woof," as if saying "it's so beautiful here." His little tail wagged rapidly; he clearly liked the place too.
Su Qing and Su Ya were so excited they were speechless, constantly taking photos with the sound of shutters clicking one after another. They knew they might only see such beauty a few times in their lives.
Lei Yue also took out her phone and snapped a few photos—for her, this was a rare moment of relaxation. She even took a selfie, something that would have been absolutely impossible in the past.
Lei Ying stood to the side, and although she remained vigilant, there was a clear look of appreciation in her eyes. She even nodded slightly, seemingly satisfied with the security conditions here.
