35: I'll just buy you a new car, that'll be fine.

Just as they reached a relatively secluded corridor near the restaurant entrance, two young men blocked their path. They were dressed in what appeared to be designer brands, but the details exuded a sense of deliberate ostentation.

Their gazes focused unreservedly on Lei Jun, sizing her up with an uncomfortable scrutiny.

"Two beautiful ladies, where are you headed? How about we become friends?"

The man with oily hair was the first to speak. His tone was flippant, and his eyes lingered on Lei Jun's exquisite face and silver hair.

Lei Jun's brow furrowed slightly as a wave of annoyance rose in her heart.

Here we go again!

She had long been tired of these kinds of pick-up attempts.

These men always seemed to think that with a bit of self-righteous capital, they could easily approach her.

If only Zhao Ya were here; with her skills, she could easily brush these two flies away.

She said coldly,

"Not interested. Please move aside."

Being rejected so bluntly made the two men feel a loss of face.

The other man with the crew-cut laughed. "Heh, quite a temper... but that's got some flavor!"

"I happen to like thorny roses like this..."

Lei Jun completely lost her patience for dealing with them.

She took a slightly nervous Su Man by the hand and walked straight past them toward the parking lot.

This level of low-grade provocation didn't even qualify to make her angry.

Seeing Lei Jun ignore them completely, the two men felt their pride wounded and followed her in a fit of rage.

Seeing Lei Jun and Su Man getting into the car to leave, their blood boiled even more, and they were extremely infuriated.

Feeling like their dignity had been trampled, the two got directly into their own car. Before Lei Jun could react, she heard a loud "Bang!"

The Crew-cut Man had actually driven a Porsche 911 straight into the rear of the Bugatti.

Lei Jun's pupils constricted, and she whipped her head around to look at the rear of the car.

The brand-new matte black body had been smashed into a clear dent, and the fragments of the taillights were scattered all over the ground.

A surge of anger instantly rose in her heart.

This was the car she had just picked up today, an 11-million-yuan Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. She hadn't even driven it for half a day before someone intentionally crashed into it!

But after the anger came a greater sense of calm.

She knew getting angry was useless now; the priority was to solve the problem.

Money wasn't an issue for her, but the feeling of being intentionally provoked made her very uncomfortable.

She turned to look at Su Man beside her and found that Su Man's face was pale and her body was trembling slightly, clearly frightened by the sudden accident.

Su Man's mind was already a tangled mess.

She looked at the dent in the Bugatti's rear, feeling heartache on Lei Jun's behalf.

An 11-million-yuan car!

Just crashed like that!

If this were her car, she would probably be crying from the pain, or might even faint on the spot.

But when she turned to look at Lei Jun, she found that although Lei Jun's face carried a chill, her eyes were exceptionally calm, without a trace of panic, as if the car that had been hit was just an ordinary commuter vehicle.

Su Man was both shocked and admiring.

She knew Lei Jun was wealthy, but only after seeing Lei Jun's composure in the face of such an event did she understand the true meaning of the phrase "wealth brings confidence."

It wasn't that Lei Jun didn't care, but that she had enough ability to solve the problem, so she wouldn't be thrown off balance by a sudden situation.

This unhurried aura caused the fear in Su Man's heart to gradually dissipate a little.

Lei Jun: "Su Man, call the police."

Su Man finally snapped out of it and called the police directly.

The two men got out of their car and walked over. They had originally thought Lei Jun would be panicked like an ordinary girl, perhaps even crying and begging them for compensation. They hadn't expected her to call the police and remain so calm.

The Oily-Haired Man felt a bit guilty, but he still tried to save face, saying disdainfully,

"It's just a car, why call the police? Is it really necessary? Can't I just compensate you with a new car!"

Hearing this, Lei Jun laughed out of pure anger.

She pushed open the car door and stepped out, her gaze sweeping over the two men who didn't know the heights of the heavens or the depths of the earth, then over the crowd of onlookers gradually gathering around. Her cool voice reached everyone's ears clearly.

"Fine, you said it. This car of mine is a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, with an on-the-road price of eleven million. Take out the money; you can compensate me with a new one right now."

The crowd watching the commotion instantly erupted.

"Eleven million?"

The onlookers let out a collective gasp and a sharp intake of breath.

"Good heavens, I was wondering why this car looked so cool!"

"Eleven million, how much money is that?"

"I felt this car was unusual just now, but I didn't expect it to be so expensive!"

"This time those two idiots have kicked a steel plate—no, they've kicked a titanium alloy plate!"

Someone who knew about cars had already quickly looked it up on their phone and then shouted in confirmation.

"That's right, it's this model! The official price is over ten million!"

The arrogance on the faces of the Oily-Haired Man and the Crew-cut Man vanished instantly, replaced by shock and panic.

They had been blinded by Lei Jun's beauty just now and hadn't looked closely at what car it was, let alone expected it to be so expensive!

How were they supposed to pay for this?

They were regretting it to death.

If they had known this woman was so rich, they wouldn't have provoked her for anything!

But now they were stuck. If they admitted they couldn't afford it, wouldn't they lose all face in front of so many people?

The Crew-cut Man exchanged a glance with his companion, both seeing panic and a desperate hope for luck in each other's eyes.

The Crew-cut Man gritted his teeth and began to act like a rogue.

"What do you mean?"

"Just because you heard we'd compensate you, you're opening your mouth wide!"

"Who knows if this car of yours is really worth 11 million? Why not just say your car is worth several hundred million!"

The Oily-Haired Man immediately chimed in: "Exactly, I think you're just trying to extort us. We're not falling for that!"

Lei Jun couldn't be bothered to deal with them and waited for the police to arrive... After the police quickly arrived at the scene, they swiftly assessed the situation and took the four involved parties—Lei Jun, Su Man, and the two troublemakers—back to the police station for investigation.

Inside the police station, a series of documents including the purchase invoice and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) were strictly verified.

The Police Officer finally confirmed that Lei Jun's Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ had indeed been purchased that very morning, and the on-the-road price was definitively confirmed to be eleven million RMB.

When this figure was officially repeated by the officer, the atmosphere in the mediation room instantly froze.

The Crew-cut Man's face turned deathly pale in an instant.

Eleven million... it really was eleven million!

He felt a wave of dizziness.

He wished more than anything that time could flow backward to that restaurant entrance; he would definitely have pulled his companion away and taken a detour!

What face, what thorny rose? In the face of such a massive financial loss, it was all utterly ridiculous!

Eleven million!

What could he possibly use to pay for it?

Even if he were sold, he wouldn't be worth that much money!

Would his parents beat him to death when they found out?

And would this constitute the crime of damaging property on a massive scale? Would he go to jail?

Upon hearing the confirmed price, the Oily-Haired Man was first extremely shocked, and then felt a sense of relief.

Fortunately... fortunately, the one who drove the car into it wasn't him.
