223: Underwater diving

Zhao Ya ate quickly, but one could still see her satisfaction with the flavor; her movements were efficient yet not crude.

Next was the Sanya Fresh Fish Soup.

The soup base was milky white, containing several large pieces of fresh sea fish, paired with sour beans, starfruit, and tomatoes—the colors were pleasing to the eye.

Lei Jun took a sip of the soup, her eyebrows arching slightly.

The soup base was light but full of umami—the kind of pure freshness that belonged to the sea.

The slight acidity brought by the sour beans and starfruit perfectly stimulated the deliciousness of the fish and cut through any greasiness, giving the whole soup a rich layer of texture that was refreshing and appetizing.

She felt this soup was much like her feelings after bungee jumping just now: after intense stimulation came this transparent, refreshing calm.

Su Qing tasted the sour beans, very interested in this local specialty seasoning.

Su Ya liked sour flavors and drank quite a bit of the soup.

Tony carefully removed the fish bones, savoring that unique sour-freshness.

Lin Xiaoya was conquered by the freshness of the fish soup.

Qin Yu felt this soup was particularly refreshing.

Zhao Ya felt the soup was nutritious and refreshing, perfect for replenishing her strength.

The Gangmen Rice Noodles were served.

The smooth rice noodles were soaked in a thick white broth, topped with fish cakes, fried dried shrimp, shredded meat, and other ingredients, sprinkled with chopped green onions and cilantro.

Lei Jun mixed it evenly and picked up a mouthful of rice noodles.

The rice noodles were smooth upon entry, sliding down her throat almost without needing to chew.

The broth was thick and delicious, with a mellow flavor from long-simmered pork bones and seafood, while the fried dried shrimp added a crispy texture and a distinct aroma.

The fish cakes were springy and tasted fresh.

After a bowl, her heart and stomach were warmed, and she felt completely full.

Lei Jun thought that this solid deliciousness was like those ordinary daily happinesses in life that support us.

Everyone buried their heads in eating the noodles.

Su Qing felt the broth was truly well-simmered.

Su Ya ate the fish cakes in small bites.

Tony picked up the rice noodles with his pinky finger extended, saying the texture was "smooth as silk."

Lin Xiaoya ate until sweat broke out on the tip of her nose.

Qin Yu's large bowl was almost empty with a series of slurps.

Zhao Ya also finished a bowl quickly.

Then came the Danjia Sour Fish Soup.

This soup's colors were even richer: red tomatoes, green starfruit slices, white fish chunks, and the broth presented an inviting orange-red hue.

Lei Jun took a taste; the sweet and sour flavor was even more distinct and prominent, instantly activating her taste buds.

The tenderness of the fish became more apparent against the sour backdrop, and the fragrance of the starfruit and the sweetness of the tomatoes melted into the soup, forming a unique and charming flavor that was very appetizing and irresistible.

She felt this bold sweet and sour combination was full of vitality, just like the temperament of this tropical coastal city.

Su Ya, who liked sour flavors, her eyes lit up.

Su Qing carefully savored the sources of the complex acidity.

Qin Yu smacked his lips as he drank.

Finally, the grand finale: Tengqiao Ribs.

The ribs were fried to a bright, oily red, emitting a rich honeyed aroma and a charred fragrance.

Lei Jun picked up a piece; the outer layer was a crispy shell with a sweet, charred fragrance that crunched lightly upon biting, while the rib meat inside remained tender and juicy. The marinated flavor had completely penetrated, perfectly balanced between salty and sweet, becoming more fragrant with every chew.

The flavor of this dish was direct and rich, bringing a strong sense of satisfaction.

Lei Jun thought this was like the thrill of completing a challenge and receiving a reward.

This dish won the favor of almost everyone.

Su Qing studied the technique of making it crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Su Ya carefully blew on the hot steam.

Tony praised the color and aroma as "visual art for the sense of taste."

Lin Xiaoya didn't care that her hands were covered in oil. Qin Yu went in directly with his hands, gnawing away happily.

Even Zhao Ya ate two extra pieces.

After the meal, everyone was satisfied, chatting about the thrill of the bungee jump and the comfort of the food.

Lei Jun watched the lively scene, listened to her companions' relaxed laughter, and felt the delicious food in her stomach; she was in a very good mood.

The system mission was completed, and her godly tycoon coins had increased.

But more importantly were these shared experiences.

Whether it was the narrow escape on the plane, the leap from the bungee platform, or the food they were sharing now, all of it was invisibly deepening their connection.

She enjoyed the process and looked forward to what new challenges and experiences the system would bring next.

After finishing the bungee jumping, Su Qing turned to Lei Jun.

“Miss, it would be a pity to come to Sanya and not see the ocean. I heard the water quality at Lovers Cape is particularly good; how about we go diving?”

As she spoke, her gaze swept over the others to see their reactions.

Lin Xiaoya was the first to respond: “Diving? Great, let's go!”

Images of the underwater world from TV flashed in her mind—colorful coral, schools of small fish—she thought it must be beautiful.

Qin Yu also nodded: “Sure.”

He felt that diving should be much easier than bungee jumping.

Su Ya was a bit hesitant.

She wasn't very good at swimming and was a bit afraid of the deep sea.

But seeing her sister so enthusiastic, she eventually agreed.

Lei Jun thought Su Qing's suggestion was good.

Bungee jumping was an upward challenge, and diving was a downward exploration; both were rare experiences.

“Alright, then let's go diving at Lovers Cape.”

The group arrived at the Lovers Cape diving spot.

The seawater here was indeed clear, and the sand was fine.

However, the facilities at the diving spot looked a bit crude. Several staff members were gathered under a sunshade, smoking and chatting, behaving rudely and laughing loudly about something.

One of them was particularly conspicuous.

He was bald, with a thick gold chain around his neck and messy tattoos on his arms.

He was telling some dirty joke to his companions, but as soon as he looked up and saw Lei Jun and the others walking over, his eyes immediately glazed over.

The bald man thought to himself, 'Holy crap!'

What kind of lucky day was this?

To have such a group of top-tier beauties show up!

His gaze swept back and forth across the girls, finally fixing intently on Lei Jun.

Silver hair, tall, that face was simply incredible!

Her figure was even more beyond words.

Then there was the slightly older one with a gentle temperament; the younger one who was pure and lovely; the short-haired one who was full of spirit... even that sissy man, though he looked disgusting, was quite handsome.

He was already plotting in his head: when they went into the water later, he would be the instructor. Wouldn't it be perfectly natural to touch their waists or brush against their legs while 'guiding' their movements?

Such beautiful women would surely feel great to the touch.

Also, underwater photography was big business. This group didn't look like they lacked money; he had to squeeze them for more.

Thinking of this, a greasy smile spread across the bald man's face as he proactively went to meet them: “Ladies, and this... handsome guy, you're here for diving, right?”

His gaze mainly lingered on Lei Jun's face.

“Our equipment here is professional, and our instructors are experienced. We guarantee you'll have a fun and safe time!”

He emphasized the word “safe” particularly heavily, but there was something else hidden in his eyes.

Lei Jun immediately noticed the ill intent in this man's gaze.

A trace of annoyance rose in her heart, but her face remained expressionless.

She didn't want to ruin her mood because of someone like this while out having fun.

As long as he behaved himself, she couldn't be bothered to care.
